Chapter 5 - Chapter 5: Invitation to Cooperate

Gideon awkwardly rubbed his nose.

How could he not recognize Jennifer?

This brat was the very one who, at just six years old, lifted the fat kid from the Darcy family - who was twelve and three times her size - horizontally and threw him into the fountain, then punched the son of the Sokri family, breaking two of his front teeth, and grabbed the hair of the young lady from the Barteles the Third family, dragging her along like a dog.

A series of skilled and fluid actions made Gideon... First Prince Kelvin, who was ten at the time, drop his jaw. From then on, the name Jennifer Aniston was listed in the First Prince's "do not provoke" list, but also from then on, his gaze always unconsciously followed her.

He did not miss a single rumor about her.

At eight, Jennifer Aniston tested to have pure fire attribute magical talent, becoming a key focus for family training.

At ten, Jennifer Aniston was already a Beginner Mage Level 2, considered a genius seen once in two hundred years, and was sent to the Mage Tower for teaching.

At twelve, which was also the year the "First Prince" was executed, she was already a Silver Rank Mage.

He did not understand why a genius like her would drift to this state.

"Recognize. After all, my impression of you is quite deep. You haven't said why you recognized me yet. I admit I disguised myself very carefully; even if my Queen Mother came back to life, she might not necessarily recognize me."

"Here." Jennifer pointed to the back of Gideon's neck, hidden by chestnut-colored hair. "This spot of yours has a very special vermilion mole; it is shaped like a snowflake. If one looks closely, one will see it."

Gideon unconsciously placed his hand on the spot she pointed to. There really was a small point slightly raised compared to the skin surface there. His eyes blinked. Even people closest to him might not necessarily recognize this, yet she could see it with one glance.

Who would pay attention to such a trivial detail, unless they truly cared about the person?

Suddenly, Gideon realized a rather scary truth: this girl might have fallen for him a long time ago...

If Jennifer knew this thought of Gideon's, she would definitely hang the Lord up on the wall and whip him three hundred times.

The mole was actually just an excuse Jennifer said to deceive Gideon; although it is true she noticed it when she was small, so much time has passed, how could she recognize it? If not for the tattoo reminding her, she would not be able to link the ordinary-looking man before her eyes with the handsome and gallant First Prince from six years ago.

The year she was nine, this tattoo suddenly appeared; even her parents and master didn't know where it came from. At ten, meeting the First Prince, the tattoo suddenly heated up like a red-hot iron pressed into the skin, making Jennifer scream like a pig being slaughtered, successfully attracting the attention of the First Prince who was about to return to the royal palace.

She gritted her teeth and told no one, only telling her father about this abnormality. Her father thought it was just a coincidence and told her to keep it a secret.

The third time meeting again, at that time the tattoo had no reaction; back then Jennifer thought her father's words were correct. Looking at it now, it didn't heat up then because the person being escorted to the execution ground was not the First Prince at all.

Now that the memories of two lifetimes have merged, Jennifer is certain that this is a gift The Netherworld gave her after nearly seventy years of working as a coolie for the spirit reapers.

However, these words could not be spoken; Jennifer could only rely on the mole to make an excuse, and from there caused a beautiful misunderstanding. Until long after, every time it was mentioned, Jennifer still ground her teeth in anger.

Returning to reality, Gideon's face had softened a lot, asking:

"I remember you were a genius Mage; the year I had the incident, you were already a Silver Rank Mage. Then, taking the liberty to ask, Mage Jennifer, why did you appear here, and in a state... like this?"

Jennifer sighed, saying:

"Shall we sit down to talk?"

Gideon nodded. After all, the two of them had many things to talk about; standing forever like this was not good.
