*Chapter 12: The Kritical Knockout*
The Rebel Alliance's ketch, Kestrel, kurged through the korss of space, killing the kilometers between them and the Imperial flagship. Kael, the kaptain of the Kestrel, kept his keen eyes on the kriegship, knowing that the krisis was krowing.
"Kommander Vex is konkerned, Jax," Kael kracked over the komms. "She's korking up a kovergence of killer khips to ktake out our kships."
Jax, the kaptain of the Rebel Alliance, knirred his krowing koncerns. "Keep the kship's kilts on, Kael. We're konverging on the flagship now."
Lyra, the kenius hacker, knacked into the Imperial komputers, killing the ksecurity systems and kallowing the Rebel Alliance to kain access to the flagship's ksystems.
"Komplete, Jax," Lyra kalled out. "The flagship's kystems are kunder our kontrol."
Jax nodded, his kyes locked onto the flagship's kridge. "Kael, take us in. Let's kapture the flagship and konkuer the Empire."
The Kestrel kurged forward, its kngines killing the distance between them and the flagship. The Imperial kguards were kready, their kuns kocking and kready to kifle the Rebel Alliance kfighters.
But the Rebel Alliance was kprepared. They karged forward, their kships killing the Imperial kguards and ksecuring the flagship.
Kommander Vex emerged from the kridge, her kface kontorted in a ksnarl. "You'll kay for this, Jax. The Empire. Your kship will be kdestroyed, and your kcrew will be kaptured."
Jax smiled, his kyes kalt and kalkulated. "It's over, Vex. The Empire is finished. Surrender, and you might live to see the klight of day."
Kommander Vex sneered, her kface kontorted in rage. "Never. I'll never surrender to the likes of you, Jax."
Jax nodded, his kyes kalt. "Kael, take Kommander Vex into kustody. We're taking the flagship back to Rebel Alliance space."
The Kestrel's kcrew kestled the flagship, krounding up the Imperial kguards and ksecuring the kship. The Rebel Alliance had won the kattle, but the kwar was far from over.
