Chapter 6 - The Hidden Plan

Selena's mind swirled as she lay in bed, the darkness hiding her turmoil. Sarah's note echoed: "Fight back." But how?

The gala lingered in her mind – she'd played perfect, but Adrian's grip hadn't loosened. As she drifted off, a plan sparked.

Morning broke. Selena dressed, her eyes cold. Adrian entered, expectant. "Today, we'll tour Adrian Industries. You'll meet the team."

Selena's smile was sharp. "Sounds fun."

At the office, executives fated over her. Adrian's arm wrapped hers – ownership. Selena's gaze met Sarah's in the crowd. Her sister lingered near the exit.

Adrian led her to a high floor. "Selena, meet key staff."

As they mingled, Selena whispered to Sarah, "What's the plan?"

Sarah's voice was low. "Distract Adrian. Get files."

Files? Selena's heart pounded. "What files?"

Sarah's eyes flashed. "Proof he needs you."

Selena's mind spun. Proof?

Adrian turned. "Selena, meet Mr. Smith."

Selena smiled, playing along. As Adrian turned back, Selena mumbled to Sarah, "How?"

Sarah's nod was slight. "I'll handle Adrian. You get files."

Selena's pulse raced. Files hid secrets – she'd find them.

Adrian led her to lunch. Selena's phone buzzed – a message from "Unknown": _Meet me in East wing. 2 PM._

East wing? Selena's gut said Sarah.

Lunch dragged. Adrian leaned close. "You fit well."

Selena's smile was ice. "Thanks."

1:45 PM. Selena excused herself. Adrian nodded.

Selena slipped to the East wing. Sarah waited in shadows. "Selena, listen."

Sarah handed her a key. "Server room. Find 'Project X'."

Selena's eyes widened. "What's Project X?"

Sarah's voice was urgent. "Proof Adrian's trapped you. Use it."

Selena's heart pounded. Proof?

Sarah pushed her. "Go. Now."

Selena took the key. "What about you?"

Sarah's smile was cold. "Distracting Adrian."

Selena nodded. "Be safe."

Sarah vanished. Selena slipped to the server room.

The key fit. Selena entered, screens flashing. "Project X" files blinked.

Selena opened one. Adrian's voice echoed: "Selena.. obey me."

Selena's eyes widened. Recordings. Videos. Proof Adrian controlled her.

A noise echoed. Selena's heart jumped. Footsteps.

Adrian's voice boomed. "Selena?"

Selena's breath caught. Trapped.

Selena minimized screens, heart racing. Adrian entered, eyes narrowed. "What are you doing?"

Selena's smile was quick. "Just... checking emails."

Adrian's gaze lingered. "Not here. Let's go."

Selena nodded. Adrian led her out.

As they left, Selena's mind spun – she'd found proof. But Adrian's grip tightened.

The car ride was silent. Adrian dropped her at the mansion. "Rest. Tonight, we dine with clients."

Selena nodded, playing along.

In her room, Selena texted Sarah: _Got files. What's next?_

Sarah replied: _Meet me tomorrow. Plan escape._

Escape? Selena's heart pounded. She'd fight.

The night dragged. Selena lay in bed, plotting.

Adrian knocked. "Selena, dinner."

Selena dressed, rage simmering. She'd play. But she'd break free.

Dinner was a blur. Selena smiled, Adrian's eyes on her.

As they finished, Selena leaned close. "Adrian... I'm tired."

Adrian's voice was low. "Rest. Tomorrow's busy."

Selena nodded. Adrian led her to bed.

The darkness hid her smile. Selena knew – she'd fight.

The clock ticked midnight. Selena's eyes closed, war brewing.

Selena woke to Adrian's hand on her shoulder. "Time to get ready."

Selena pushed him off, anger flashing. "I'll do it."

Adrian's eyes narrowed. "Don't be late."

Selena dressed, rage simmering. The day loomed – she'd play the game.

As she descended, Adrian's voice was approval. "Beautiful."

Selena's smile was ice. "Thanks."

The day dragged. Selena played along, plotting escape.

As night fell, Selena knew – she'd break free. With Sarah?

The mansion loomed. Selena's war had begun.

Selena slipped out, meeting Sarah in shadows. "What's next?"

Sarah's voice was low. "Use the files. Threaten Adrian."

Selena's eyes widened. "He'll kill me."

Sarah's smile was cold. "Not if he needs you."

Selena nodded. "Let's do it."

The night hung heavy. Selena's heart pounded – she'd fight.
