Chapter 24 - Upgraded Gun Turret!

Half a day later, among the three factions, Doflamingo's family was the first to bring the supplies Mork wanted, along with several ships.

One full ship of gourmet food, one full ship of comic books, one full ship of magazines, and even one entire ship filled with wine and cigarettes.

When Mork saw an entire shipload of cigarettes, he felt that if he Smoke all of these, he'd die on the spot.

But overall, he was very satisfied with the Donquixote Family's delivery.

Most importantly—the ten large ships.

Though each one had a strange look, clearly plundered from pirates, Mork didn't care.

The fortress could absorb anything.

Outside, Doflamingo stood on his deck with a shining smile, asking for credit.

"Your Excellency, are you satisfied with the supplies I've brought?"

Through the loudspeaker, Mork answered, "Not bad."

Even if he was pleased, he couldn't say it too easily.

Since he had begun cooperating with Doflamingo, Peach Rabbit, and Marco, he naturally wanted to milk them as much as possible.

Hearing "not bad," Doflamingo froze—his earlier delight instantly extinguished.

Not bad?

Just not bad?

Thinking about how little these things were worth, he suddenly regretted not bringing more.

"So… Your Excellency, the weapon you promised…?"

He asked cautiously, not very hopeful.

As long as he could get something like the original small turret, he'd be content.

Mork chuckled. "I'm not a stingy person. I'll give you an upgraded turret."

Doflamingo's eyes lit up immediately.

"Many thanks for Your Excellency's generosity!!"

The cadres behind him also started thanking Mork in chorus.

Inside the fortress, Mork laughed.

"Just like I thought. You have to feed people one bite at a time. If you feed them too much at once, they don't know how to be grateful."

Doflamingo was a textbook example.

Then Mork instructed the system to activate the transmission beam and bring all the goods into the fortress.

Outside, Marco was stunned.

His subordinates all gasped.

"What kind of technique is this!?"

"The beam hit the goods and they disappeared?"

"Marco, have you ever seen something like this?"

Even Marco had to swallow hard.

Shaking his head, he whispered, "The technology inside this fortress is far beyond what we imagined…"

He couldn't help but laugh.

Staying here instead of chasing Blackbeard was absolutely the right call.

Compared to this fortress, Blackbeard wasn't worth a single ship.

Once everything was collected, Mork let the fortress begin absorbing the ships.

Afterward, the transmission beam turned to Doflamingo's ship.

Doflamingo felt nothing but excitement as he watched.

To him, the light beam felt like a path leading him straight to the top of the world.

Soon, a turret larger than the previous one slowly formed on the deck.

At that moment, Peach Rabbit returned with a new Marine warship—her previous one had suffered too much damage.

She was just in time to witness this scene.

She exclaimed, "It can transport objects like this!?"

Marine soldiers were thunderstruck.

"No need for contact… just remote transfer?"

"Even Dr. Vegapunk probably can't do that…"

Peach Rabbit muttered, "If that old man were here, he'd be blowing his beard and glaring right now."

"This is incredible…"

She realized the fortress's technology was much more advanced than she thought.

She felt fortunate she hadn't completely ruined their relationship earlier.

She soon recovered and ordered, "Approach the Donquixote ship."

Marco also gave the same order.

Doflamingo ignored them completely, his eyes glued to the turret forming in front of him.

The exterior looked similar to the original small turret, just larger and more imposing—full of metallic presence and technological aura.

He raised his head toward the fortress's observation windows.

"Your Excellency, what's the difference between this upgraded turret and the last one? Is there anything special?"

Mork's voice rang out—accompanied by munching sounds.

Clearly, he was eating.

Doflamingo, Peach Rabbit, Marco and all their subordinates exchanged looks but wisely remained silent.

In the fortress, Mork rolled his eyes—he was still eating the food Doflamingo had delivered, but the fortress had opened the loudspeaker on its own.

He suspected it was revenge for calling it "Baby."

Glaring at the control interface, Mork resumed his imposing tone.

"This turret is an upgraded version. Its basic functions are similar to the first-generation turret, but faster and more flexible."

"The main difference is—this one can change size. Through transformation, its power increases substantially."

The three factions outside were immediately intrigued.

Doflamingo's eyes gleamed.

"A transforming turret?"

He instantly thought of the massive cannon that had combined earlier to blast the ocean apart.

His heartbeat quickened.

He couldn't wait to test it.
