Chapter 48 - A Home For Two

The sound came from Arvin clapping his hands right in front of Yonna's face.

"Why are you daydreaming while staring at my face constantly, Yonna?" asked Arvin with a teasing tone. "Do you like me? You are indeed pretty, but I'm sorry, I'm not interested in women! My heart is also owned by this cute man beside me."

Yonna's face turned beet red from embarrassment and awkwardness. "N-Not like that, Young Master! I-I just didn't expect that you changed completely!"

"Changed completely?" Arvin raised an eyebrow. "Changed how do you mean?"

"Yesterday..." Yonna tried to explain nervously, "let alone laugh, you never even smiled, and seemed very stern and rough. Now... you can laugh happily and an aura of happiness radiates clearly on your face."

Hearing the receptionist's innocent remark, Allen immediately turned to look at Arvin's face. He held both of his husband's cheeks, forcing Arvin to look at him so he could examine that face.

"Is it true what she said, Arvin?" asked Allen investigating.

Arvin scratched the back of his neck which didn't itch, a bit embarrassed. "Y-Yes! I myself didn't expect to change like this."

Allen stared deep into Arvin's eyes, seeing his reflection there. "As long as you don't lose your identity, I don't mind!"

Gasp!

Arvin flinched hearing the word 'identity'. That word triggered his existential fear again. However, Allen, with his extraordinary sensitivity, could understand that something was wrong with Arvin right now.

Allen squeezed Arvin's hand gently. "I know you are troubled. Later, you have to explain it to me. But for now, prioritize our purpose for coming here!"

Allen's words were like an anchor pulling Arvin back to the land of reality. Arvin took a deep breath, calming himself.

"You're right."

Arvin looked back at Yonna with a professional smile. He immediately stated his main intention.

"Yonna, I want to buy a house. Can you show me the list of houses for sale here?"

Yonna immediately returned to work mode. "Certainly, Young Master! What kind of house do you want?"

Arvin answered enthusiastically, his eyes sparkling imagining their domestic future.

"I want the best house! It must have a spacious bathroom with a large bathtub for soaking, a special place for washing clothes, a place to relax, and most importantly... a spacious kitchen not far from the dining room!"

"Alright, Young Master, I will get some house designs that might interest you."

While Yonna went to get the catalog, Arvin stood there smiling to himself. His mind drifted imagining the new house he would occupy with Allen. He was looking forward to the moments where Allen would cook various delicious dishes for him every day in their own home.

And then, Allen patted Arvin's shoulder hard enough to startle the blue-haired young man from his beautiful daydream. Arvin immediately turned his head with a slightly confused look.

"Why are you smiling to yourself like a madman?" teased Allen.

"Ah, it's nothing!" Arvin answered honestly while gazing at his partner's sweet face. "I was just busy imagining you in the kitchen, wearing an apron, cooking and serving various delicious dishes for me while smiling sweetly. It's a shame my daydream was interrupted."

Allen's face reddened instantly upon hearing that frontal confession. "Y-You don't need to imagine things like that! Because even without you imagining it, I will definitely do it for you happily every day!"

Hearing that sincere answer, Arvin felt an overwhelming surge of affection. He stared at Allen's lips, which were pouting slightly.

"You are so cute, you know!" Arvin growled, restraining himself. "If only this weren't a crowded public place, I would have already touched and caressed your face!"

Instead of being afraid, Allen smiled challengingly. He reached for Arvin's hand hanging by his side, then boldly placed that warm palm onto his own smooth cheek.

"Touch as much as your heart desires." whispered Allen softly, his eyes staring straight into Arvin's blue irises. "You don't need to hold back. Because everything on this body... from the tip of my hair to the tips of my toes, is fully yours!"

Arvin was stunned for a moment, feeling the smoothness of Allen's cheek skin against his palm. His heart beat fast. He smiled widely, a smile full of satisfaction and love, then slowly lowered his hand as he realized many eyes were watching.

"You're really good at teasing now." chuckled Arvin. "Unfortunately, this is a public place! Hold that desire for now. When it's just the two of us, I will definitely spoil you."

Moments later, Yonna returned from the archive room. She brought several large sheets of paper containing floor plans and illustrations of houses.

"Sorry to keep you waiting, Master Arvin, Master Allen." said Yonna politely while spreading the papers on the table.

She showed them the house images one by one, explaining in detail every room inside. There were magnificent classic-style mansions, and there were modern villas with large gardens. However, most of the luxury houses offered had a very large number of rooms, averaging five main bedrooms not including the servant's quarters.

Allen furrowed his brow when he saw the floor plans.

"It feels like these rooms would be a waste for just the two of us." murmured Allen softly. "We don't need a palace, we need a warm home."

Arvin nodded in agreement, but his eyes kept following Allen's gaze. He realized Allen's eyes always returned to one particular sheet of paper. An image of a house that looked large and elegant, but not too flashy or excessive.

That house only has 4 bedrooms, huh? Arvin analyzed internally. The design is simpler and warmer than the others.

Without hesitation, Arvin pointed directly at the house Allen had been eyeing.

"It seems my beloved wife wants this house!" exclaimed Arvin firmly. "I will buy this one! What is the price?"

Yonna checked the price list. "A great choice, Young Master. This house is located in an elite yet quiet area. Including purchase tax, notary fees, and the title transfer cost, the total price is 27,500 Gold Pieces. However, please remember, there is no furniture inside; it is an empty house."

"No problem!" answered Arvin quickly while taking out 27,000 Gold Pieces from his dimensional storage. "I will buy it, and I don't want the smile on my cute wife's face to disappear just because of a price issue! Please process it right now!"

Yonna was very shocked, her mouth slightly open. She was amazed to see how Arvin spoiled the man he had married without the slightest calculation.

I never expected that a noble like him would so deeply desire his lover's smile. thought Yonna in awe. Arvin Vedegra... he really is everyone's dream husband. Not only sincere and wealthy, but he is also very capable of guarding his loved one's happiness.
