Saires let out a long sigh, and a thin smile finally appeared on his face.
"Very well, your argument is very logical, Arvin." Saires finally decided. "I will immediately take these five Platinums and discuss your acquisition of this academy directly with His Majesty the King. With a value this high and your family's reputation, I don't think the kingdom will have a reason to refuse."
"Thank you very much for your cooperation, Dean Saires." Arvin replied as he stood up and bowed his body slightly in respect. "If His Majesty feels the payment is still insufficient, I will happily pay the difference later, as long as all ownership rights are written in detail and are legally valid."
"Of course. I will make sure of it."
"Then, what about Ordion?" Arvin asked again, demanding certainty before he left.
"You don't need to worry about that." Saires answered reassuringly. "I will handle the documents immediately today, and he may pack his things to move and live with you all at the capital mansion right away."
Hearing the satisfactory answer from the Dean, Arvin could no longer hold back his expression. He smiled happily, an expression that was very rare. Without warning, Arvin moved his hand again.
A fairly large leather pouch appeared from his storage dimension and was placed on the desk, right next to the five platinum coins from earlier.
Clink! Clink! Clink!
"This is 10,000 Golds!" Arvin said casually, as if he had just set down a lunch box.
"W-Why are you paying again?" Saires asked in complete bewilderment, his eyes nearly popping out at the sight of the gold piled in the pouch. "Won't this academy belong to you after the acquisition process is complete? The academy should be making money for you, not you constantly throwing money into it!"
"Even though I will be the owner on paper, the leader who runs this academy remains you!" Arvin answered with his remaining happy expression. "That 10,000 Golds is not for me. That money is purely a grant that you can use immediately to fix all the damaged facilities in this academy, update the library literature, and also to raise and pay the salaries of all the teachers and staff who work hard in this academy."
The Dean's shock grew even more after hearing such a generous answer. The midle-age man was speechless for several seconds.
"In all my life..." Saires murmured softly, looking at Arvin with newfound respect. "This is the first time I have seen a new owner who actually hands all leadership power back to the former owner, complete with an operational fund of this size."
Arvin smiled upon hearing that. And for Dean Saires, this was the first time he could see a smile so sincere on the face of the blue-haired youth who was usually as cold as ice.
"I am doing this because I trust you very much, Dean Saires." Arvin said earnestly. "From now on, if you wish to act to punish noble students who oppress others, please do not hesitate or be afraid of their backgrounds anymore. Because if you act for the good and justice of this academy, the Vedegra family name will be the shield that protects you from behind."
Saires felt his chest warm. Half of the heavy burden he had carried alone as a Dean seemed to be lifted. "Are you truly sure about this big decision of yours, Arvin?"
"Yes, I am very sure!"
"Alright then!" Dean Saires said firmly, his spirit as an educator rekindled. "I will handle everything quickly. Please also tell Ordion to prepare himself immediately and join Class 1-A as soon as the break is over. I will also inform all the teachers."
"Very well, Dean Saires. I will convey it to him immediately." Arvin replied. "If there is nothing else, I beg your leave to return to class."
Arvin bowed once more, then turned and walked out of Dean Saires' office. The door closed firmly, leaving the Dean still astonished and amazed looking at the five Platinums and the pile of 10,000 Golds on his desk.
"This is the first time an academy student has openly and in cash acquired his own academy in the entire history of this kingdom." Saires muttered to himself, shaking his head with a growing smile. "But... seeing his vision and determination, I am very sure this academy will definitely become a much better place than before."
A few moments later, the door to Class 1-A opened once again. Arvin, with his signature blue hair, stepped in casually, ignoring the gazes filled with awe and hesitation from his classmates. He walked straight toward the row of desks where Ordion was still busy chatting with Allen and Alrain.
As soon as Arvin stood near them, he looked at the red-haired youth with his calm blue eyes.
"Ordion..." Arvin said, breaking the conversation between his three partners. "Starting today, this very second, you will be studying in Class 1-A."
Hearing Arvin's incredibly sudden words, it wasn't just Ordion who was shocked. Every student in the class who was secretly eavesdropping held their breath. Moving from a regular class to an elite class in a matter of minutes was almost impossible within the bureaucracy of any academy.
"I-I'm... moving to Class 1-A?" Ordion asked in disbelief, pointing a finger at himself. "A-Are you serious?"
"Yes, I'm very serious!" Arvin replied without a second's pause, his tone absolute. "And not only that. Starting today, you will no longer stay at the academy dormitory. Instead, you'll move in and live with us at the capital mansion. Oh, and one more thing... your scholarship has also been officially revoked by the academy!"
Hearing that last sentence, Ordion felt as if he had been struck by a bolt of lightning out of a clear blue sky. The red-haired student was so shocked that he reflexively stood up from his chair.
For a student from a commoner background like himself, a scholarship was his lifeblood. It was the only ticket that allowed him to survive at a prestigious academy in Astoria Kingdom.
"W-Wait a minute!" Ordion cried out in panic. "I don't mind at all if I have to pack my things and leave the dormitory. But... but why did you have to go through the trouble of striking my name from the scholarship list?! If the scholarship is revoked, how am I supposed to pay for my incredibly expensive education here?!"
Hearing Ordion's innocent and realistic panic, Allen, who was sitting next to him, could no longer contain himself.
"Hahaha!"
Allen's clear laughter suddenly broke through the tension. He laughed heartily while clutching his stomach, causing Ordion, Arvin, and everyone else in the class to instantly turn their gaze toward the pink-haired youth.
Ordion stared at Allen with a pout. "Allen! Why are you laughing after finding out that I'm worried sick about how to pay for my education?!"
"Hahaha."
Allen was still laughing, taking a long breath and trying hard to stop while wiping a small tear from the corner of his eye. "I'm sorry, Ordion. It's just, your reaction is so funny! Here, let me tell you. You aren't the only one who was forcibly removed from the scholarship list. The exact same thing happened to me!"
Ordion's eyes widened. "You too?"
"Of course!" Allen replied with a mischievous smile. "Right now, I am no longer a scholarship student. It was all purely because of the actions of the man standing right next to you."
Ordion slowly turned his head, staring at Arvin with a look of disbelief that demanded a logical explanation.
"My Dear!" Ordion exclaimed, his voice a bit loud because he was baffled. "What exactly is your reason for removing mine and Allen's names as scholarship students at this academy? Doesn't that just increase your expenses?"
Hearing the protest from his third spouse, Arvin simply crossed his arms. He looked at Ordion with a flat face that nonetheless radiated an undeniable authority.
"Don't be a greedy human, Ordion!" Arvin countered firmly, his voice echoing through the classroom. "Right now, I am your husband. It is my absolute duty and responsibility to take care of all your needs, including paying for your entire education!"
Arvin let out a soft sigh, then continued his explanation in a gentler tone. "I have already paid your tuition fees in full to the academy in advance until you graduate! So, you only need to sit quietly and study here without having to worry about the cost at all. Let that royal scholarship be given to other commoners out there who need a helping hand far more than you, who are now married to me!"
Hearing such a rational, responsible, and incredibly generous answer from his husband, Ordion's eyes widened. His heart warmed. He never imagined that his husband was doing something so noble beyond his expectations.
"And to settle everything while also donating to the academy, you must have handed over another 10,000 Golds to Dean Saires to handle Ordion's transfer, right?" Allen interjected suddenly, accurately guessing the behavior of his husband, who often ignored the nominal value of money.
Arvin shrugged his shoulders casually. "Yeah, something like that. Even though Dean Saires initially kept refusing because he felt it was too much. But in the end, he accepted it after I kept forcing him."
"Hahaha!"
