Chapter 97 - Chapter 98: Bunny

Little George's mood swings came and went like a summer storm. By the time he'd finished showering and stepped out of the football locker room, he was already back to his usual self.

"Hey, get this—no girls waiting to mob you today," he teased, glancing around the empty campus.

Back when the team was on a winning streak, Mike couldn't train or even leave practice without a crowd of girls hanging around to watch him.

But today, after the loss? Crickets.

"Honestly? It's kinda nice," Mike said with a shrug and a grin. "No swarm means I finally get some peace and quiet."

Seeing that Mike genuinely didn't seem bothered, Little George gave him a sour look. "Dude, you know how annoying you sound right now, right?"

It totally came off like Mike was flexing without even trying.

In Little George's mind, if girls were all over you like that, you'd be thrilled—not complaining about them being "annoying."

Just as Little George was about to roast him some more, a sleek black vintage sedan pulled up in front of them.

The window rolled down, and Karen flashed a flirty smile. "Hey, Mike. Wanna come hang out at my place for a bit?"

One look at her playful eyes, and Mike knew exactly what she was offering.

Still, he asked, "What about Regina?"

"Oh, she already headed home. It's just us today…" Karen leaned in a little. "Come on, hop in. Pretty please?"

Truth was, after the football loss, Regina had quietly bumped Mike down a few notches on her priority list.

In her mind, without that star quarterback shine, he probably wasn't going to be the big man on campus anymore.

And since Regina and Mike had never really clicked anyway, she wasn't about to chase someone who didn't chase her back.

Yeah, that's classic Queen Bee Regina—cold-blooded and practical.

Honestly, it worked out perfect for Mike. He wasn't exactly dying to spend more time with that drama magnet.

Standing on the sidewalk, Mike took in Karen's sultry vibe and felt the heat rising. I mean, come on—who turns down a gorgeous girl practically throwing herself at you?

The only thing holding him back was Little George, who'd seemed a little off all day. Mike hated the idea of just ditching his buddy.

He wasn't the kind of guy who ditched friends for a girl.

But Little George must've read his mind. "Go have fun, man. I'm used to heading home solo."

"Alright… catch you tonight," Mike said after a quick hesitation, then climbed into the car.

As the sedan pulled away, Little George sighed. "Figures. With looks like Mike's, he's never gonna be short on girls…"

Meanwhile, Katie—fresh out of her cheer uniform—tracked down her friends Janice and Damien.

Janice, the punk-rock one, raised an eyebrow. "Shouldn't you be hunting down Mike right now? He just lost a big game. Guy probably needs some serious comforting."

She shot Katie a knowing smirk.

Katie blushed a little, but it did remind her why she'd come looking for advice in the first place.

After a moment of waffling, she made up her mind. "Okay, I'm going. I'll catch up with you guys later."

"Go get him!" Janice called after her with a grin. "Good luck locking that down this time!"

But when Katie jogged breathlessly over to the field, all she found was Little George still lingering.

"Hey—um—Mike didn't head home with you?" she asked, catching her breath.

"Nah, he just left. Something up?" Little George replied.

Out of loyalty, he didn't mention that Mike had driven off with a girl.

He wasn't blind—he could tell Katie had a thing for Mike too.

"He's gone already?"

Katie's face fell for a second, but she recovered quick. "Oh well. It wasn't anything important. I can talk to him later."

After a quick goodbye, she headed back to find Janice and Damien.

On the other side of campus, Mike slid into the passenger seat thinking it'd just be him and Karen. Then he glanced in the back and spotted someone else.

He shot Karen a questioning look as she drove.

Nobody loves a third wheel—especially when that third wheel's crashing what was supposed to be a private party, even if she's hot too.

Yep, sitting primly in the back seat with her legs crossed and staring out the window (avoiding all eye contact) was Gretchen—another member of the killer-curve squad.

At a red light, Karen leaned over and explained, "Gretchen's place isn't good today, so she's just gonna chill at mine for a bit…"

Then she whispered right in his ear, "Don't worry—she won't get in the way of our fun."

The warm puff of her breath against his ear pretty much erased any thoughts of Gretchen from Mike's mind. All he could think was how Karen was a total tease, and how bad he wanted to devour her right there.

Before long, the car pulled up to a huge standalone mansion.

It was just as luxurious as Regina's place—maybe even more understated.

Turns out Karen's family owned a mid-sized food processing plant, and her dad had invented a beef burger that was blowing up all over Texas.

So yeah, Karen was basically low-key rich too.

Once the car was parked, she grabbed Mike's hand with a huge smile and dragged him inside.

The interior was classy—quiet luxury everywhere you looked. Way easier on the eyes than Regina's over-the-top mishmash style.

Best part? Her parents weren't home today, which gave the two of them the whole place to themselves.

Just like she'd promised, Gretchen slipped off to a guest room the second they walked in and stayed out of sight.

The moment she was gone, Mike and Karen were all over each other in the living room.

"Wait—" Karen suddenly pulled back at the crucial moment.

"What's up?" Mike asked, confused.

"You'll see in a sec… I've got a surprise for you," she said with a mysterious grin, then gently pushed him into a massive bedroom and disappeared to get ready.

Mike was starting to get impatient when the door finally opened again.

"Well? What do you think?" Karen did a slow spin, beaming.

She'd changed into a skin-tight bunny girl outfit, complete with fluffy white tail and cute pink bunny ears on her head.

"Damn…" Mike's eyes lit up. "That's the surprise? Hell yeah. But your bunny's missing one thing."

"What's that?" she asked, playing innocent.

"The carrot, of course…"

[Charm +5] [Constitution +1] [Flexibility +3]…

Half an hour later, the big bunny tapped out.
