Silas slammed his mechanical hand into the console, attempting to force his own code into the Archive. The building groaned, and the gravity-anchors began to fail. Kaelen and Lyra floated off the ground as the sphere began to spin.
"Lyra! The secondary nodes!" Kaelen shouted, his fifty-year-old tactical brain taking over. "If we can't stop Silas, we have to distract the OS!"
Kaelen kicked off a floating pillar, soaring toward a cluster of glowing cubes. He knew that the system was looking for an "Archive-Keeper." He reached out and merged his consciousness with the terminal.
Suddenly, he wasn't in the sphere anymore. He was in a void of pure information.
