Chapter 10: Explosive News

"Bang!"

The bathroom door was violently shoved open, and Selina rushed out, wrapped in a bathrobe. She snatched the phone from the coffee table and dashed back into the bathroom, not even giving Graham a second glance or offering any explanation.

Graham stood there, stunned and feeling a chill in his heart.

He had no idea what had happened, but any man couldn't just stand by and do nothing!

He immediately made his way to the bathroom door and, without any regard for propriety, pressed his ear against it.

What really shocked him was the message Selina had received: a meeting at the "old place"!

The old place? That meant it wasn't their first time together!

It wasn't just a case of infidelity; it was blatant betrayal!

Since he had caught them in the act, he had to find out:

First, who had arranged the meeting with Selina;

Second, whether he had misunderstood something;

Third, he was worried that Selina might be in danger.

Graham gritted his teeth. During those years when he was unable to speak, he had always remembered the old man's advice: endure if you can. Now that he could speak again, he was determined to live a new life and not let all his skills go to waste.

He went downstairs and lay down on the sofa in the living room, pretending to be asleep.

Shortly after, Selina changed into clothes, grabbed her house keys, and hurried out, her face beaming with excitement.

As soon as the door closed, Graham followed her and just in time saw her get into a taxi.

The neighborhood was always busy with traffic at night, so he also waved down a taxi and said, "Driver, please follow that car in front of us."

The driver was surprised and warned, "Young man, if you like her, just confess. Stalking is illegal."

Graham, who was imagining a scene of catching a cheating couple, almost bit his tongue at the comment.

He couldn't help but laugh and cry, "Driver, it's not what you think."

The driver shook his head, clearly skeptical: Stalking a girl in the middle of the night couldn't be just a crush; it could only mean murder.

Selina, unaware of anything, got out of the taxi and hurried inside.

Graham, through the window, frowned:

Was this the "Night Raven Tavern"?

He didn't get out immediately and added ten more coins to the fare, "Driver, let me stay here for a few more minutes."

The Night Raven Tavern was quite famous in that area of Yangcheng, mostly frequented by young men and women.

As soon as Selina arrived at the door, a girl in a low-cut dress greeted her, and the two embraced in public.

Graham thought she was a close friend, but the next moment, he almost couldn't believe his eyes:

Selina was passionately kissing the girl under the porch!

It was then he realized that the "husband" listed on the caller ID was actually a woman!

No wonder Selina had chosen him, a mute man, as her husband; no wonder she never allowed him to touch her.

It turned out she had a preference for women.

Graham sighed: If it had been a man, he wouldn't have been able to bear it; but since it was a woman, it didn't really matter to him.

Just as he was about to ask the driver to turn around, he saw the girl make an "OK" gesture in the dark.

A sense of conspiracy struck him!

He got out of the taxi and followed her into the tavern.

Amid the deafening music, men and women were dancing and mingling. He hid in a corner and saw the girl holding Selina, forcing her to drink drink after drink.

Selina was laughing and seemingly enjoying herself.

In less than three minutes, she collapsed on the table.

Graham's gaze turned dark: With Selina's drinking capacity, it was impossible for her to get drunk so quickly—someone must have added something to the drinks!

Sure enough, the girl helped Selina to her feet and led her upstairs.

She leaned her against the door of a private room, knocked on it, and then left.

The door opened, and a muscular arm reached out, carrying Selina inside!

Graham's eyes turned cold as he stepped forward:

Whoever dared to touch his woman!

Inside the room, Selina was groggy. Her waist was wrapped in a strong arm, and she was thrown onto the bed.

"Selina, don't blame me. I love you so much. Since you refused to divorce that loser, and I couldn't beat him, I had no choice but to resort to this."

The man's voice was cold as he pulled out a camera from the corner and aimed it at the bed.

"After tonight, you'll be mine." His eyes gleamed with greed. With the video, Selina would be at his mercy forever.

Thinking of this, he lunged towards the bed like a hungry wolf, ready to confront whoever dared to touch his woman.

But then he saw the girl give a secret signal in the dark.

Conspiracy filled the air!

Graham got out of the taxi and followed them into the tavern.

The music was so loud that he could barely hear anything else.

Inside, men and women were dancing and kissing. He hid in a corner and saw the girl holding Selina, forcing her to drink more and more.

Selina was laughing as if she was enjoying it all.

In less than three minutes, she collapsed on the table.

Graham's expression darkened: Selina couldn't have gotten that drunk so quickly—someone had definitely mixed something in the drinks!

The girl helped Selina to her feet and led her upstairs.

She leaned her against the door of a private room, knocked, and then left.

The door opened, and a strong arm grabbed Selina and pulled her inside!

Graham's eyes turned ice-cold as he approached.

He wanted to see who dared to touch his woman!

Inside the room, Selina was unconscious, her waist tightly held by a muscular arm, and she was thrown onto the bed.

"Selina, don't blame me. I love you too much. Since you wouldn't divorce that worthless guy, and I couldn't beat him, I had no choice but to do this."

The man spoke coldly and pulled out a camera from the corner, aiming it at the bed.

"After tonight, you'll be mine." His eyes glowed with greed. With the video, Selina would be in his control forever.

Thinking of this, he rushed towards the bed, ready to confront the perpetrator.

Suddenly, the door was knocked.

The man turned around, annoyed, "Who is it?"

Outside was Graham, his eyes flashing angrily, "The person brought the drinks."

The man frowned, thinking it was the girl's doing, and smiled lewdly: "What a better way to get excited than to pour the drinks on her and then lick it all off?"

He opened the door, but his lewd grin froze the moment he saw who it was.

"Graham? How come it's you, you worthless bastard!"

In shock, he quickly closed the door, only to be pushed back by Graham.

"Leonel, you dare to do it, but not to take responsibility?" Graham said coldly.

He had suspected this man before, but never expected him to frame Selina and even drug her after getting beaten.

"You really went to great lengths," Graham said as he pressed forward. "It seems I shouldn't have let you go tonight."

Leonel panicked, still imagining how Graham would react when Selina filed for divorce the next day, but then the rage of a killer overtook him.

"It's a misunderstanding…" he stammered, reaching for a vase behind his back.

With a quick move, Graham kicked the vase, and Leonel was almost knocked out in pain.

That kick shattered all his plans, but Graham wasn't done yet.

"How many chances have I given you?" he demanded.

Leonel trembled like a rabbit and knelt down, "Brother, I was wrong! Please forgive me!"

"Forgive you?" Graham asked, his eyes narrowing as a silver needle appeared in his hand.

Leonel wanted to run, but he couldn't forget how those thugs had been defeated so quickly.

"Right, I'll leave then," he said.

Huh?

Leonel was surprised; things were going so easily?

With a vicious thought, he grabbed the vase and threw it at Graham!

The silver needle flew through the air and pierced Leonel's groin!

Then there were several gurgling sounds, and a foul smell filled the air—Leonel had lost control of his bladder!

Leonel collapsed, and the vase fell to the ground as he ran out of the room like a madman.

Graham watched him leave with a cold smile.

From now on, that loser would no longer be a man.

He turned to close the door, cleaned up the mess, and took out the silver needle to remove the poison from Selina's body.

Fortunately, he had followed her; otherwise, the consequences would have been unimaginable.

Selina slowly woke up and, upon seeing Graham, was stunned for a moment before remembering what had happened.

Her first reaction wasn't gratitude but a slap.

"Bastard!"

Graham was shocked: "I saved you, and you hit me?"

"You tried to force yourself on me!" she shouted, pointing at the bed.

Graham remained silent, not bothering to explain—he never mattered in her eyes; he just wanted to have a clear conscience.

"I didn't touch you. Believe it or not," he said as he walked out the door.

Selina's anger grew even stronger, and she threw a pillow at the door. "Graham, you jerk!"

The pillow hit the ground, and she realized something was wrong; her clothes were intact, and she was unharmed.

Could it be that he really hadn't touched her?

"Hmph, even if you didn't, you definitely had evil intentions! Mutes are no good people!"

Her anger didn't subside, and then she noticed the fallen camera.

"So you had the equipment ready, but still claimed you didn't film anything!"

She kicked the camera, but then stopped in mid-air, grabbed it, and pressed the rewind button.

The video played, and Selina, as if struck by lightning, stood there, frozen in shock.
