Chapter 23 - Black Hole

'I'm going to die! I can't block it! I need to move out of the way!'

These three thoughts appeared sequentially in Miriael's mind.

Relying on the astonishing level of acute perception and reaction blessed by the Chaos Great Power, the lord of pleasure, Miriael realized something was wrong the instant Adam plunged his palm into the plasma.

But she truly hadn't expected Adam's attack to be so fast, and so... immense.

The violent plasma truly formed a massive wave rushing toward her. Wherever it passed, the previously hard Ceramite floor was instantly vaporized, merging with the air.

Countless plasma masses spread out, each one scattering like artillery shells exploding or shattered shrapnel, covering an attack radius that encompassed most of the Bridge area.

How to dodge?

With such a range, it was impossible to evade normally; she would certainly suffer terrifying, bone-crushing damage.

Must jump!

Miriael immediately made her decision and stomped on the ground without hesitation.

In an instant, her figure vanished from the spot like a phantom, soaring higher and higher like a rocket shooting toward the sky, forcefully evading the torrent-like strike.

Of course, this was merely a temporary measure.

Mid-air, Miriael stared blankly downward.

What met her eyes was the increasingly violent plasma tide that was turning everything into nothingness, yet one thing was conspicuously absent.

—Her legs.

The moment the Slaanesh Daemon Prince leaped, Adam had a thought, manipulating a portion of the plasma to temporarily change its trajectory and strike at the soaring Miriael.

Although it didn't hit perfectly, it still melted her two twisted, alien-shaped thighs, covered by the Armor of Ecstasy, into charred slag, shattering most of them.

It's over.

This was a thought that arose in Miriael's mind, an answer provided by an inexplicable intuition.

She sensed a smell that had been completely unfamiliar since her Ascension to Daemonhood:

—It was the smell of death.

Strangely, her consciousness seemed veiled in mist, and after enduring such heavy damage, her thoughts began to become chaotic.

'I will die?'

This was unlike previous times when, after suffering extreme damage, her body would shatter and her consciousness would return to the Warp, awaiting the next manifestation in reality and the next ecstasy.

Previously, Miriael had sensed that whether it was the Warp's Unborn or the Chaos Astartes who had signed contracts with her, their souls had all vanished into nothingness, failing to return to Slaaneshs Sixth Ring.

Miriael had originally thought that the Living Saint was responsible for all of this.

Only now did she suddenly realize it was this..."person" right in front of her.

This being, whom she didn't know if he was a Minor Warp God or some other special existence!

No, I must save myself.

In less than 0.01 seconds, Miriael made her decision.

Before she could be caught by the Artificial Gravity and fall into the plasma ocean below, she immediately swung the blade of agony in her hand.

But this time, the sword point was aimed not at any enemy despised by the lord of pleasure, but at her own head.

That's right, Miriael intended to commit suicide.

Talk of experiencing the feeling of death or gaining pleasure never before felt—that was all just empty rhetoric.

The moment she thought her consciousness might soon return to nothingness and her eternal life would end, Miriael, the Slaanesh Daemon Prince, immediately chickened out.

'I cannot die!

I must return to Slaaneshs Sixth Ring!

Yes, that's right, I must inform them that a new powerful enemy has emerged in the real world, and let the other Warp Daemons know that The Cursed One has gained a new ally!'

However, even so, she still failed.

The blade suddenly froze, as if sealed within amber, or firmly restrained by an invisible force.

'Who is it?'

Following the source of the psychic fluctuation, Miriael slowly turned her head and saw a figure who had, at some unknown point, appeared behind Adam.

It was Sibylla, who had just finished dealing with the Chaos Lord and rushed back via Warp Teleportation to support the battle.

The moment she appeared, she received Adam's message, immediately understood the situation, and abruptly activated her Psychic Power.

Sibylla unleashed her full Alpha-level powerful Psychic Power. An invisible Telekinetic Power hand tightly grasped the blade of agony, preventing it from moving an inch for a short time.

Of course, given the Slaanesh Daemon Prince's Psychic Resistance, this power shouldn't have been able to stop her for long, but merely delaying her for a moment was entirely sufficient.

"Well done."

Adam gave a word of praise, immediately raised his hand, and gently pointed his finger toward Miriael.

Then, for the first time, he fully activated his Reality Warping Ability after his recent promotion.

"What is this?"

Miriael's pupils suddenly widened. A patch of profound blackness abruptly bloomed before her eyes, as if an unfathomable Black Hole had torn open on the canvas called the universe, or like the eye of a certain daemon God opening, tyrannically swallowing all matter and color.

This naturally included her own body!

Inside the Bridge, the violent air currents ceased spreading outward; instead, they violently swept inward, rapidly draining away. The plasma and everything else frantically rushed into that darkness, ultimately being completely devoured.

Subsequently, the Miniature Black Hole began to oscillate, seemingly about to erupt all the highly compressed matter confined within its powerful Gravitational Field.

Adam lightly snapped his fingers.

Along with the matter inside it, and the Black Hole that was about to lose control, everything silently annihilated the moment the snap finished.

"What was that?"

Custodian Leonardo's body, already corroded by terrifying Slaanesh Venom, was now kneeling on the ground, swaying precariously. But relying on his firm will, he supported his body, forcing himself not to collapse, and asked with a trembling voice.

"Oh, that was just a small trick. You can understand it as a Black Hole conjured by my imagination."

Adam said casually.

With the Custodian's encyclopedic knowledge, Leonardo clearly had a belly full of questions, but he forcibly held them back in the end.

He only asked a seemingly obvious question.

"Is that Daemon dead?"

"Of course she's dead."

Adam glanced at the Custodian curiously, seemingly surprised that he would ask such a question.

"This is only the beginning. For the countless blood debts committed by that Fallen One, and the shame she brought upon the Battle Sisters, we must continue the hunt and make her pay an even greater price."

The Living Saint was clearly in much better condition than Leonardo. She straightened her body, looked in the direction where Miriael had vanished, and said in a deep voice.

"No, you might think she was banished back to the Warp, but that is not the case."

Adam seemed to sense that Lucia might have misunderstood something, and repeated calmly:

"That Daemon Prince is dead, permanently.

And yes, you are right, this is only the beginning."

"The days when those Warp's Unborn treated reality as a playground and acted recklessly are soon coming to an end."
