SIMON PETRIKOV
Immediately the Crown left the head of the alternate Finn I felt the blizzard relax and the prickle of cold around my skin subsided.
My breathing and adrenaline also managed to settle as the danger seemed to all be over.
T.V held onto the crown firmly gazing at it with a look of curiosity while Lemongrab picked up the unconscious Finn.
"We've gotta start heading back then", T.V said.
"Ye…yes", I said nervously.
"Oh!", I said before looking off to where the explosion person-Dedic, was laid before.
Upon checking again though, he was no longer there, most likely escaping in the ruckus of battle.
"The other guy escaped", I said, disappointment creeping into my voice.
"That's alright", T.V said. "We should get going back to Fla-".
T.V stood cold like a statue, stopping in his words then he said shallowly, "We need to get to Flame Princess".
MINERVA CAMPBELL
I sat at the control centre of the federation, a large room filled with various workers who handled taking the report taking of squads.
It had a large screen at the front, it had the map of the little known new world we lived in, red dots being members of our squads out presently.
There was one in the dunes which rested around the right hand side of the map was the current location of Flame Princess who was with my son then there were two more signatures by the artic which was at the top, the two dots being her teammates who went to get a hold of an alternate Finn.
Although the map had little structure, it was very much so incorrect in various ways and was subject to change every other week.
I sat impatiently in the middle of the control room on a black chair, gazing at the screen, praying for more news about my son.
Although I knew it was wrong of me to want to selfishly think about him, I couldn't hold myself from doing it. I knew deep down, I would give away all the lives outside to preserve the life of my son.
And I know others would do the same.
"Are you alright??", a voice called to me.
"Oh Prince Bubblegum, I'm fine, no need to worry".
The prince had been one of the first few who had help me set up the federation, with his brains as well, he was also a huge help in building ships and helping research.
"You sure?? I heard they may have found your Finn", he asked again.
I could see the worry etched onto his face, same way I knew that I had unconsciously put on a weird demeanour.
"Yeah, as long as he's sa-".
Alarms sounded all over the room cutting me off, the large screen turned red and read out, "Flame Princess in immediate danger, calling for urgent backup".
FINN MERTENS
Our swords clashed against each other, the force pushing us both back, me more so than him.
Without a moment of rest we charged right back, he went for a heavy swing to my right side but I jumped nimbly over it.
I landed sharply and thrusted quickly at this chest but as quick as a flash his blade dug into the floor blocking mine. I didn't hold up though, passing the sword to my left hand and swinging it at his abdomen.
His body blurred as he jumped into the air using the giant sword as an anchor to twist and turn before kicking me away.
I crashed onto the sandy floor but wasted no time to get back up only to see the Lizard man in the air crashing down at me the giant blade in hand.
I leapt out the way just in the nick of time, the sand blocking my vision momentarily which allowed him to charge closer to me.
He swung his blade right as my gaze locked onto him, i darted backwards but not quite fast enough. Agony coursed through my body as my skin ripped from the base of my right shoulder to the lower half of my left waist.
Blood poured out of my open wound as fatigue struck me like a bulldozer, "Humans really are inferior creatures", the Lizard man said with a light chuckle.
Gritting my teeth and strengthening my legs, I darted to him undermining the pain. I clashed with his blade, managing to parry it downwards and landing a stab at his lower abdomen.
The blade however didn't manage to even pierce his skin, a sense or dread washed over me as the Lizard Man began laughing uncontrollably.
Then he picked up his blade and wanted to swung on me but darted back quickly as a ball of flame came crashing at him.
I as well swerved backwards before turning my gaze towards Flame Princess who looked almost as bad as me, she was panting aggressively, various bruises all over her flaming body which formed more as darker flames than anything.
I couldn't put much focus into her battle although she just managed to save me but I'm glad she didn't have any major injuries but her opponent still stood a few feet back, he was probably the worst out of all of us.
His left arm was charred and broken off and he had various different burns and bruises all over his body but he still stood strong.
I noticed a little fire still on the tip of my blade, slowly entering into it as the black sword flashes a reddish orange aura for a split second.
An idea rose in my head but the Lizard man came crashing at me without wasting much time, swinging down to me but I managed to barely evade it then kicked him away.
"Lousy Humans, you think you can beat me??", the Lizard man questioned, his voice sounding more and more frantic by the second. "You have no chance of beating me!!".
The four of us stopped our battle simultaneously listening to what he had to say, almost like we all knew it would carry significance.
"You humans destroyed my home, killed my people and I'm gonna take back what's mine".
I looked at him with a look of confusion then said, "Bro I have no idea what you're talking about!".
"Of course you wouldn't, all your kind know how to do is play the victim but now I'm gonna destroy every single one of you".
"Starting with you, I don't know what makes you so strong or why Yaeger wants you so badly but I'm gonna destroy you".
"I am Golgoth, the last of the Lizardman", he finally proclaimed.
I shifted my gaze to Flame Princess once more who looked back at me as perplexed as I did her.
Why is it just now he's getting angry at seeing a human? Was he bottling his emotions before hand?? Were all Lizardmen like this?? And if so, were they all this strong??
That's when my idea sprung back into my mind, I looked back at Flame Princess once more and pointed at my sword.
"What?! No, I'm not doing that!", she protested.
"Flame Princess please! This may be the only way to cut his skin, just trust me".
"I'll be fine".
Golgoth rushed at me with remarkable speed, trying to make an opportunity from our conversation.
Just as he was about to reach his swords measure, Flame Princess sent a flying ball of flames at me.
Golgoth jumped back as the flames seemed to surround me however I could see the flames steadily being drawn into my sword as it began to change colours.
"Are you killing off your own friend??", Kaiser said, his voice carrying a level of confusion.
"No, that's not what's happening here", Golgoth remarked.
The flames buried into my blade completely, my sword was now on encompassed in a raging fire. Although the flames touched me at the beginning leaving burns around my arms and legs, now it was clung onto the sword.
The blade itself seemed to have even gotten a tad bit longer and the deep black had changed to an almost bright magenta, an unknown energy flew through my body keeping me steady and strong on my feet.
Then I looked at Golgoth with a sharp smile, he in turn however stepped back almost anxiously.
"Ready for round two??".
