Chapter 7 - Chapter 7 Qian Xunji's Advance

Over the next few days, Qian Xunji familiarized himself with his own strength while gathering information about the Spirit Hall.

Through these experiences, Qian Xunji clearly understood that his combat experience, including reaction speed, explosive power, and practical combat ability, was still very immature. It's no wonder that in the original story, the original owner of this body, with only level 95 spirit power, was so badly beaten by Tang Hao, who had just entered level 90. Level 95 is very close to the Super Douluo realm, and the strength of spirit power is completely different. Even so, he was defeated by Tang Hao. The difference wasn't just in spirit power level, but more importantly, in combat awareness, combat skills, and his own aura.

Therefore, if Qian Xunji wanted to become stronger, he couldn't forever live under Qian Daoliu's wing. Admittedly, Qian Daoliu's backing was indeed very strong [a level 99 Peerless Douluo, arguably the ceiling of the Douluo Continent, of course it was very strong], but that wasn't what Qian Xunji wanted. Only he himself could be his greatest support; this was a principle he had understood since childhood.

People are born unequal. Some are born with a silver spoon in their mouth, like Qian Xunji, the son of a level 99 Peerless Douluo. The entire Spirit Hall's resources were tilted towards him, allowing him to achieve such success at such a young age. Those born less fortunate have to earn their resources themselves, competing with others.

Therefore, Qian Xunji resolved not to waste what he had and to cultivate diligently.

Having understood this, Qian Xunji conceived the idea of going out to train. However, he had no clear goal and didn't even know the way, so he needed to plan carefully.

Thus, Qian Xunji easily navigated a spacious corridor. After walking for a while, he came to a huge wooden door, probably made from at least a ten-thousand-year-old plant spirit beast. The door was slightly ajar. Qian Xunji pushed it open and entered. This was the Spirit Hall's library, a separate building within the complex, shared by almost all the halls. The entrance Qian Xunji had entered was on the top floor of the library, accessible only from the Pope's Hall and the Hall of Offerings.

Upon entering the library, the floor abruptly changed from the stone of the outer hall to wood, neatly laid out with natural wood grain, free of scratches or wear, requiring no waxing. This was the second-to-last floor of the library, not very large, revealing the curvature of the ceiling, clearly indicating it was one of the uppermost parts of the building.

Near the entrance was a sizable area with a wooden table and two comfortable upholstered reclining chairs where two middle-aged men sat. These were none other than Qianjun Jiangmo; their daily routine was guarding the second-to-last floor of the library.

"Uncle Qianjun, Uncle Jiangmo," Qian Xunji greeted them.

"Greetings, Your Highness," they returned the greeting.

"What brings Your Highness here, Holy Son?"

"Oh, I'm just here to look up some ancient books in the library. Nothing much," Qian Xunji replied.

"Please, Your Highness," Qian Jun responded.

Qian Xunji then began walking towards the bookshelves labeled with various tags. With each step, the solid, slightly soft feel of the wooden floor filled the air. The entire library was permeated with a subtle fragrance of books—a unique sensory experience, a blend of insect-repelling rue and the faint scent of wood from books written with fine pine soot ink. It was unlike anything else in the Spirit Hall, giving Qian Xunji a different feeling. This fragrance and environment, capable of subtly and unconsciously drawing one to books, was extremely rare.

Qian Xunji slowly moved through each bookshelf, carefully taking down anything useful and then carrying it on his arm. He found a table and sat down. He sat there for the entire afternoon, immersing himself in the vast sea of books, like a fish in the ocean, forgetting the passage of time.

Over the next few months, Qian Xunji studied at the Spirit Hall library while also seeking guidance from the other elders, steadily improving his strength.

Through these past few months of study, Qian Xunji has gained a general understanding of the outline of Douluo Continent. Douluo Continent is vast. Besides the Spirit Hall and the two great empires, there is the Slaughter City, known as a feast for killers and a paradise for evil spirit masters; the perilous Seagod Island; and countless secret realms. It can be said that Douluo Continent is a treasure trove where risks and opportunities coexist, depending on how you explore it. However, this did not dampen Qian Xunji's spirits; it only strengthened his resolve.
