Chapter 21 - Crossing The Line

West stepped onto the narrow balcony and looked down.

The streetlight below washed the sidewalk in pale yellow, and standing directly beneath it was Aria.

She looked even more striking up close than she had from the window.

Her outfit hugged her perfectly, showcasing every curve. The black crop top clung to her busty chest just enough to leave little to the imagination with the thin straps resting on her shoulders like they barely belonged there. They were struggling to hold up the mass.

The skirt sat snug against her hips, short enough that West had to consciously force his gaze upward when he noticed how long her legs looked beneath the light.

She hugged herself lightly, as if suddenly aware of how exposed she was.

West raised a hand and waved.

She looked up immediately and her eyes lit up.

He gestured upward with two fingers.

She nodded.

A minute later, soft footsteps echoed outside his door.

West opened it quickly.

Aria slipped inside and the moment the door closed behind her, she jumped forward, wrapping her arms around his neck.

West froze as he felt her soft cushions pressing onto his chest.

For half a second, his mind completely blanked.

This wasn't flirting... neither was it playful banter... this was real.

He recovered quickly, raising his arms instinctively and hugging her back. His hands settled at her waist with his fingers splaying slightly as they made contact with warm skin through thin fabric.

Electric.

That was the only word for it.

Aria sighed softly against him, resting her forehead just beneath his chin. For a few heartbeats, neither of them moved.

West could feel her breathing and the slight tremor in her body.

Slowly and carefully, he eased back, just enough to look at her face.

"Hey," he said quietly.

She blinked, as if realizing where she was all over again.

"…Hey," she replied with warm cheeks.

They separated reluctantly and moved to the sofa, sitting close—close enough that their thighs brushed, close enough that West was painfully aware of every movement she made.

"So," West said lightly, breaking the tension, "I wasn't expecting a surprise visit."

Aria laughed softly before brushing her hair back. "Yeah, well… I was just in the neighborhood."

West raised an eyebrow. "At this hour?"

She shrugged. "Coincidence."

He smiled, not calling her out.

Then they talked about nothing and everything...

Her work gossip...

His school gossip...

Music...

Random childhood memories...

West cracked jokes, timing them just right. Aria laughed easily as the earlier tension melted away. She leaned back into the couch, visibly relaxing as her eyes brightened with each passing minute.

At some point, West stood.

"Want some juice?" he asked.

"That'd be nice," she said.

When he reached the kitchen, he paused.

He leaned against the counter and took a deep breath... and then another.

This was uncharted territory.

He had flirted.

He had teased.

He had talked.

But this?

Being alone with a girl in his apartment... this was different.

His heart pounded harder for a few seconds and then, composure kicked in again. For some reason, even though he was freaking out internally, it didn't show on his face nor in his actions.

Every move... every action... remained fluid and smooth...

He poured the juice, and returned to the living room.

Aria accepted the glass with a smile.

"Thanks."

They resumed talking, and time slipped by unnoticed.

Aria found herself genuinely enjoying the moment.

There was no pressure nor interruptions... just warmth.

West listened when she spoke, reacted when she laughed, met her eyes when she paused and flirted at certain intervals.

He continously acquired Cuck points, the longer this went on.

All of a sudden, her expression changed.

It was subtle, but West noticed.

The smile faded slightly and her fingers tightened around the glass.

"…If only Ross could be like this," she murmured.

West blinked. 'Oh so that's why...'

She exhaled shakily. "I can't even remember the last time we talked like this. Properly. For more than fifteen minutes."

Her shoulders slumped.

West leaned closer. "Hey."

She looked at him.

"I'm here," he said gently. "I'll always fill that gap for you."

Her eyes softened.

"…Is that a promise?"

"Yes," West said without hesitation.

She leaned into him then, resting her head against his shoulder.

From that angle, West could see more than he probably should have.

The gentle curve of her massive chest and the deep line between that extended farther than the eye could see... into havens unbreached.

He swallowed hard.

Heat spread through him and blood rushed south with alarming speed.

'Bad timing...'

West cleared his throat and stood abruptly to ease the stimulation.

"Movie?" he suggested.

Aria looked up, surprised. Then smiled. "Sure."

He turned on the TV and sat back down beside her. Fortunately, those few seconds he spent turning the TV on, helped him stabilize.

He didn't want to mess everything up by having a boner right now.

They watched in silence at first with the minutes rolling by.

Then—Aria's hand slid onto his.

Her head rested against his shoulder again.

West tensed but he didn't pull away.

The movie continued and then the scene changed.

-"Pablo, you incompetent devil... I'll wipe you and your Mirage Gang off the face of this planet today!"

-"Tisha tsk tsk, you still run your mouth like a broken tap from a public latrine... how does an old hag like you intend to pull that off?"

The main male and female characters on screen grew closer with weapons in their grasps causing the scene to get more intense.

-"I'll wipe that grimy pathetic ugly moronic corpse like grin off your face forever!"

-"That mouth of yours... is it useful for anything other than cursing?"

Just when it seemed as though they were about to attack each other, their voices hushed and they suddenly merged lips.

They began kissing so intensely, sucking on each other lips like starving babies on a mother's tits.

The entire scene underwent a complete 180° change as they pushed each other against the wall, smooching passionately like their lives depended on it.

Aria bit her lower lip unconsciously.

The kiss on screen was intense.

Lingering...

Hungry...

"I wish I could get kissed like that," she murmured. "I haven't felt that in so long."

West turned toward her, feeling his heart pound harder than usual but slowly it calmed.

"Well," he said quietly while displaying a charming smile, "now's as good a time as any."

Aria turned her face toward his.

West lifted his hand and wrapped his fingers around the back of her neck, resting his thumb just beneath her ear.

He drew her closer slowly and in the next moment, their faces hovered inches apart...

And then, he stopped.

He didn't move or try to close in the distance.

He simply stared into her eyes.

Aria's breathing grew uneven as her chest rose and fell rapidly.

Her hands curled into his shirt as his stare bore deep into her soul, making her crave uncontrollably.

She couldn't take it.

With a soft sound, she closed the gap herself.

Her lips met his in a deep, desperate kiss... and the world seemed to narrow into that single moment.
