Chapter 8 - The Lazy Prince - Episode 8 - Sily

As Shun and the others slowly walked down the street, the elf heading to the royal palace had already reached the king and begun to report.

"Your Majesty, this man's power is unimaginable! I noticed his movements when we first saw him, and from what I could see, he was using only a tiny fraction of his power, probably trying to control it. Yet, the pressure of his fists completely reduced the area around him, several hundred meters, to dust! He could instantly leap kilometers away, and occasionally, due to his strange techniques, he would cause dimensional distortion! Your Majesty, please do not provoke this monster, otherwise we could suffer terrible losses!" He spoke his last words pleadingly, because if they provoked this monster, they would be the first to die as the unit protecting the king; they didn't want to needlessly bring disaster upon the kingdom and perish.

Opposite where the elf knelt, sat a middle-aged man on his golden throne, radiating a majestic aura with his neatly combed blond hair and slightly long blond beard. At that moment, his face held a strange expression, a mixture of disappointment, fear, and a few other things. After a while, he raised his face and, looking at the elf, said, "So what do you suggest we do? We can't provoke this man, but we've already invited him; what can we do to establish a relationship?"

After thinking for a while, the elf replied, "Your Majesty, we asked him a few questions on the way here, and I believe he learned our purpose when he was brought here. I suggest we do a few things to prove him wrong and win his favor."

The king was somewhat surprised and panicked when he heard the beginning, but upon hearing the last part, he spoke, "Go on, what do you suggest we do?"

The elf had been expecting this and replied, "Your Majesty, before coming here, he took a little beggar girl and is heading this way." "I noticed the man cares about the beggar girl; if we do a few things for her, his opinion of us might change."

Hearing this, the king thought for a moment and then, turning to a servant waiting below, said, "Go and prepare the bath, prepare the food, set up a feast!" Then he turned back to the elf and asked, "Is there anything else?" "

Yes, Your Majesty! The man's name is Shun, and he's from another world. He hasn't been here very long, so he doesn't have any material possessions. Shortly after entering the city, he made us pay for food at one of the stalls."

Hearing this, the king's eyes lit up. "I understand! Go and prepare 5000 platinum coins from the treasury!" Then he turned to the elf and smiled, "Good! If you hadn't come and told me this so early, our kingdom would have faced a potential crisis. Go and take 300 platinum coins for yourself from the treasury."Also, if there's anything else you want, you can tell me, and I'll make it happen for you!''

Upon hearing this, the elf excitedly knelt down and said, "I did everything for my kingdom, Your Majesty, there's no need for such rewards!"

The king smiled and said, "Those who contribute to the kingdom should be rewarded, go!"

"Yes!"

After the elf left, the king wiped the sweat from his forehead and took a deep breath, "Oh, my kingdom has escaped the crisis of collapse! We really got off lightly..." He couldn't hide the look of fear on his face. After all, he was the king of a kingdom and quite intelligent; how could he not understand the true meaning of what the elf had just said? The things he had given were only a small price to pay for the kingdom's survival, so he couldn't be angry about it, he could only blame himself. Who had asked him to summon a bomb that could destroy the kingdom and explode at any moment? So he had spent 5000 platinum, which would have been a bit of a hassle even for the king, and had even prepared a feast to please the person he had provoked. 'Perhaps we can make a good impression on this person on this occasion, and maybe this will be a trump card that could help us if we have trouble in the future...' he was trying to console himself with these thoughts.

Meanwhile, Shun and the other elves were slowly making their way along the main road. Seventeen beautiful-looking elves and a handsome young man with a dirty beggar in his arms were quite a strange group, and because they stood out so much, someone kept staring at them. As Shun walked slowly, he asked Esna, "Brother Esna, can you lend me some money?"

Esna was surprised to hear this, but soon smiled and said, "Of course, as long as Master Shun wants. How much do you want?"

"I just wanted a nice set of clothes for this girl. How much would it cost?"

He said this while gesturing to the girl lying comfortably in his arms. Esna knew he would say something like that, and smiling, she said, "Then there's a clothing store a little further down the road, would you like to get something from there?" "

No problem, let's get it from there."

Shun nodded, and they slowly started walking towards the store. Meanwhile, the girl in Shun's arms slowly began to open her eyes. She still didn't fully understand what was happening. She could feel that she was being carried in a comfortable position, but who was carrying her? Had she been captured by the men who were chasing her and wanted to enslave her? At that moment, she remembered the man she had met shortly before she fainted, and she couldn't help but open her eyes a little more and look at the person carrying her. It was him!

As if he had noticed that she was awake, he looked at her too and spoke gently with a slight smile, "Are you awake? Does anything hurt?"

The girl couldn't help but stammer, a little shyly, "I-I'm fine. I-I just feel a little tired..."

"I understand. Rest a little longer then." Shun said with a slight smile.

The girl nodded slightly and whispered, "Thank you."

Shun smiled at this and said nothing more. As they walked towards the shop, the girl occasionally glanced around, her eyes sparkling. When she saw some food stalls, she looked at them for a longer time, but tried to look elsewhere again, fearing she might attract the attention of the person carrying them. Of course, this did not escape Shun's notice, but he said nothing; after all, she would be dining at the royal palace soon.

Soon they arrived at the clothing shop, and even as they approached, the girl was looking at the dresses on the shelf. Especially a beautiful red suit that fit her perfectly. After all, she had never worn such beautiful clothes in her life; sometimes, when she walked the streets, she would look at girls her age wearing beautiful dresses and envy them, but there was nothing she could do. Shun, Esna, and the other elves had already seen the outfit the girl was looking at and said nothing except a slight smile. Shun looked at Esna, raising his chin towards the outfit, meaning 'go buy it'. Esna understood this and started walking towards that shop as she left the group, but Shun and the others had already passed it. The girl, unaware that the outfit was bought for her, continued looking at other shops and things on the shelves.

After a while, Shun spoke, "What's your name?"

Still looking at the shops around her, she hadn't expected this sudden question. "Uh? Oh, well, I don't have a name. After all, nobody calls me by my name, so I haven't given myself one."

Shun looked at her for a moment and then asked, "Would you like me to give you a name?"

The girl was surprised and lifted her head to look into Shun's eyes, only to see a pair of warm, kind eyes looking at her. She didn't know why he was showing her so much kindness, but she felt it was real, so with a voice betraying shock, excitement, joy, and a little shyness, she said, "R-really?"

"Yes." Shun smiled. Then, after thinking for a while, he looked at the girl and said, "You're a sweet girl, so how does Sily sound?"

The girl's face flushed, even through the dirt, at the mention of "sweet girl," and she nodded in agreement. Shun smiled at this, "Okay, then from now on your name is Sily."

The girl was happy to hear this, her eyes filled with tears again, and she nodded in agreement. After a short while, having composed herself a little, she asked, "W-why are you so kind to me?"

Hearing this, Shun thought for a moment and slowly began to speak, "I don't know. When you bumped into me and fell, I saw the look in your eyes as you looked at me, and suddenly I felt an urge to help you.""Perhaps if you hadn't bumped into me and fallen while trying to escape from those men, and you had just walked past me, then I wouldn't have helped you. I guess we can call that fate?"

"I-I understand..." Hearing this, the girl suddenly felt grateful to the slave owners who were chasing her. If they hadn't chased her, she wouldn't have hit this man, and she would have spent the rest of her life struggling to survive in the back alleys...

Meanwhile, Esna had already bought the clothes, had them packaged, and arrived. Shun asked, "How much further is it?" Sily was hungry and wanted to quickly go wash, get dressed, and eat, so she was a little impatient.

"If we go at this rate, we'll be there in about 20 minutes," Esna said after thinking for a moment.

"Ah, that's too long! Let's speed up then, show me the way."

Esna nodded in agreement and started walking quickly along the roads, and Shun also sped up behind her. At that moment, Sily in her arms screamed in fear from the sudden increase in speed.

Shun gently whispered in her ear, "Don't be afraid." "Nothing will happen to you while you're with me."

Hearing this, Sily's fear suddenly vanished, and she began to feel safe in the arms of the man carrying her. This kind of feeling was wonderful, so she buried her head in Shun's chest and held onto his clothes tightly. 'Ah, this person's arms and chest feel so safe. Can't I stay here forever? I don't want anything else, I just want to stay here...'
