Chapter 22 - The Lazy Prince - Episode 22 - Shadow

When they came out of the temple, their parents and the village chief were waiting there.

When they noticed Su Yuntao and the three children coming out, they immediately ran inside and asked the children what kind of spirits they had awakened...

The village chief also realized that the three children were those three little brats. Shun smiled, "Grandpa, we've awakened our spirits. Now we're going to the spirit hall with Su Yuntao. Thank you for everything."

Shun's gentle nature and kind words gave people a strange feeling of comfort and calm. After these words, the village chief showed a happy smile, "It's nothing, my child. As I said, don't forget this old man. You can come to my house for dinner from time to time, both of you."

The two girls smiled and nodded in agreement.

There wasn't much need for words. As they left, they waved goodbye to the old grandfather, and he waved back.

Tang-san, emerging from the temple from behind, witnessed the scene, glanced at Shun's back as he departed, and thought, "I hope we don't run into each other..." Su Yuntao and the three children had been walking for some time. After all, Su Yuntao had only arrived on horseback; who would have known that three little geniuses would emerge?

But reaching the Spirit Hall this way would take a very long time. They hired a horse-drawn carriage in a nearby town and continued their journey. Although the Spirit Hall was very large and extensive, and located in almost every city on the continent, the continent itself was vast. Due to the great distances between them, it still took a long time to travel. We set out at dawn and reached our destination as darkness fell. Not much happened on the way, except that I learned the little girl's name was Shio. I couldn't help but feel embarrassed when I saw the hurt look on her face as she told me. After all, I had even slapped her on the bottom; even though we hadn't been together for a long time, one day was quite a long time to learn her name. We got out of the horse-drawn carriage in front of the Spirit Hall branch, and Su Yuntao hurriedly led us inside. His excitement hadn't subsided yet. Three of the continent's greatest geniuses were now by his side, and the credit for admitting them to the Hall of Spirits would be immense in the future! Of course, what he didn't know was that Shun had silently honed his skills to very high levels while in the carriage. While he could probably only reach the level of a spirit expert at most in this lifetime, he was now certain to reach the level of a douluo with a title! Of course, reaching that level would probably take at least 10 years, and perhaps by then Shun would already be gone to other worlds. Meanwhile, he looked at the spirit temple in front of him. To be frank, although the temple in the village was beautiful, it was just a small shack compared to this one. The tall columns lining the hall, the hall of spirits about 50 meters long, mostly gleamed in gold and silver!

And this was just a side hurdle. He couldn't help but be curious about the hall of spirits in the spirit city. Of course, such things couldn't bring him any shock or other kind of emotion, just like seeing something new.

Su Yuntao excitedly led them through the path lined with columns and entered through the enormous main gate. Seeing a girl at the entrance, he immediately went to her excitedly and, holding her hand, exclaimed, "Sisi! Today is my luckiest day ever, I brought back 3 magnificent geniuses! All thanks to you!"

The girl named Sisi looked at Su Yuntao in confusion. Upon hearing his words, she smiled, "Fool, what are you saying? Which magnificent geniuses?"

Then she looked at the three children following Su Yuntao. They all had sweet or magnificent faces, especially the boy among them, he couldn't help but get a little carried away.

After Su Yuntao grabbed her hand and shook her, she came to her senses and heard him say, "Yes! Magnificent geniuses! All of their spirits are incredible and all of them are filled with at least innate spirit power! Can you believe it, innate spirit power!" And I woke them all up one after the other on the same day, I think I've used up all my luck in this life and in my future life. I hope I don't choke to death while drinking water..."

Despite saying this, happiness was still evident on his face.

Sisi couldn't help but be amazed upon hearing this. What innate spiritual power? What magnificent spirits? And what do you mean by "least"?

With an incredulous expression, she said, "Are you kidding? Even if they have a truly good temperament, do you know how rare such geniuses are on the continent? If you're going to joke, at least think of something sensible..."

Just as Su Yuntao was about to convince him, an old man who had heard the noise walked towards them. Su Yuntao and Sisi, seeing the old man, became respectful and bowed, saying, "Dean!"

After nodding his head, the old man looked at Su Yuntao, "Yuntao, why are you making so much noise?" "Also, according to the news I received, you haven't awakened the spirits of the children in a few villages; you were supposed to come tomorrow..."

Yuntao's excitement waned slightly as he was stared at with sharp eyes. "That's right! I forgot to awaken the children in the other villages...

" But then he spoke excitedly again, "Dean! The reason is that I met three magnificent geniuses in the village I went to! They agreed to participate in the spirit hall, so I had to come here immediately!"

The Dean looked at the excited Yuntao in surprise. He wondered what kind of genius could make Yuntao so excited and looked at the three children standing behind them.

The old man, equally impressed by their temperaments, was also surprised, but shook his head, "Even though their temperaments are truly good, that doesn't mean they are geniuses."

"Then come inside with me."

Yuntao, Sisi, and the three children entered a room with the old man. There was a large crystal in the room. The walls were adorned with various inscriptions and symbols.

The old man introduced the room to the children, "This is where our hall performs the spirit awakening ceremony. This crystal is used to test spirit power up to level 40."

He turned and looked at the three children, "So, who wants to go first?"

Sily looked at the other two first, and when they didn't say anything, she stepped forward and placed her hands on the crystal. A bright light emanated from the crystal, filling the room. At the same time, a fiery bird emerged from behind Sily, accompanied by a bird chirping, causing the room to warm up by a few degrees.

Sisi and the old man looked at the firebird in astonishment. "What a terrifying flame! This is the first time I've witnessed a spirit that hasn't yet donned a spirit ring being so powerful!" the old man exclaimed in amazement.

Before their astonishment subsided, Shio followed Sily and, with the same sacredness, summoned a sword from its hilt, and the spirit crystal emitted the same bursts of light.

While Sisi and the old man were still stunned, Shun arrived, and the crystal's brilliance was at least 3 or 4 times brighter than the previous two times, making it difficult for everyone in the room to open their eyes. Immediately afterward, a deep darkness descended, and they realized that some of their desires had gotten out of control. At that moment, a black-winged angel appeared behind Shun, holding a short sword adorned with gold inscriptions with black stripes.

No one could escape the hallucinations until Shun withdrew his spirit, and they all stared at him in fear. What the hell is this fighting spirit? The old man is a spirit expert, and yet he still couldn't control his desires and was easily caught in this illusion, what else can I say?

Honestly, the spirits given by the system are really overpowered. Even though the angel spirit in Qian Renxuen is powerful, the system is still the system. Although it can't cause any waves in front of it, it's stronger than the laws of this world, and of course, the rewards it gives are also stronger.

Moreover, the second spirit, the fallen angel form that can be used with the desire sword, isn't as powerful as 1+1. "Currently, his fighting power is no less than any spirit king's, not physically, of course, but solely through the use of his spirit..."

The old man, regaining his composure, burst into excited laughter, "Good! Excellent! It's a great honor for us to have three magnificent geniuses like you in our spirit hall!"

Calming his excitement, he quickly went to his room to report to the main spirit hall.

Sisi also came to her senses and looked at the three children in shock. What magnificent geniuses! Although she had been in this hall for many years, this was the first time she had seen such shocking geniuses. Especially the boy, born with level 20 spirit power! What kind of concept is this? She had never heard of such a naturally occurring talent before!

(YN: Honestly, Qian Renxue was also born with level 20 spiritual power, but I don't think everyone knows that. In fact, most people on that continent probably don't even know that someone named Qian Renxue exists; they're probably just the top names in the Spirit Hall.)

Sisi smiled and congratulated Su Yuntao, holding his hand, "Congratulations, Yuntao, with this credit, you can probably achieve a high rank in the Spirit Hall. You'll have lots of little girls around you, you won't forget little Sisi, right?" He pouted and leaned sadly against Su Yuntao.

Shun saw this scene and couldn't help but feel sorry for Su Yuntao. These kinds of bitches will do anything as long as it's useful; hopefully, she'll show her true face soon so Yuntao can get rid of this bitch.

At that moment, the old man arrived and spoke with a smile, "Children, I spoke to the main hall for you, and they've already sent someone to pick you up." "They'll be here by tomorrow morning at the latest. I've arranged a room for you to stay in during this time. Come in."

They left, leaving Su Yuntao and Sisi alone. As they walked down the corridor, the old man continued speaking, "Our Spirit Hall is spread throughout the world. Each of the two empires and their cities has a branch of our Spirit Hall. Small branches like ours can only be called the smallest Spirit Halls. I am a level 35 Spirit Expert, but the Spirit Halls in the major cities contain at least level 80 Contras. And in the main Spirit Hall in Spirit City, we have three great halls: the Douluo Palace, the Supreme Pope Palace, and the Spirit Hall. Our Spirit Hall contains at least 20 titled Douluo and 50 Contras. Of course, most of these Contras reside in the Spirit Halls of the major cities, but most of the titled Douluo remain in Spirit City. That's why Spirit City is known as the most prosperous and secure city in the world."

As the old man spoke, he came to a gold-framed door, opened it, and entered. The room was average, consisting of a few cupboards and three beds.

"You can stay here tonight until the person from the Spirit Hall arrives tomorrow. Of course, you can visit the Spirit Hall if you like, although there's not much there. If you're hungry, I can have a nice meal prepared for you?"

Shun looked at the other two girls and, seeing them nod, said, "It's alright, we're not very hungry. I'll let you know if anything is needed."

The old man agreed and turned to leave.

Shun closed the door and went inside. The two girls were already sitting there, summoning their spirits and watching them.

Seeing Shun arrive, Shio couldn't resist asking, "Shun, my spirit is a sword and a scabbard; shouldn't there normally be only one spirit?"

Shun smiled and said, "No, there's something called twin spirits in this world. For centuries, twin spirits have only appeared in a few people, and as far as I know, there are only two in this era."Bibi dong and the other child who was filled with spirit power when we awakened our spirits.

Sily and Shio were surprised to hear this. Everything about that child was average, even his spirit was a trashy fighting spirit, so he possessed a twin spirit! This could explain his innate spiritual power.

"Your sword and scabbard are the same, but slightly different. The sword and scabbard are actually one, but they both have different abilities. The sword is called Excalibur and the scabbard is called Avalon. It's actually a sword from a different world; I don't understand how it appears on you, and I don't care, anyway, just know that it's very powerful."

Shio's eyes gleamed as she looked at his sword and scabbard. Their names were indeed Excalibur and Avalon, proving Shun was right. Swords that even Shun called very powerful must be very powerful!

"And mine?" Sily asked in astonishment.

"Your spirit must have been a bird spirit. This spirit was born as a mutation of your spirit, due to the power remaining in your body from the fire I used to purify your body." "As far as I know, the sun's fire must be the strongest flame in this world."

Sily smiled happily. Actually, what she wanted wasn't power or anything else, just to be by Shun's side. She hoped that, if possible, she could become even stronger and do insignificant things for him.

"When we're taken to the Spirit Hall, we'll probably appear before the Pope. Your abilities are at the pinnacle of this continent. You can think about what you'll do if he wants to take you as his disciple. By the way, the Pope isn't an old man or anything, he's a young beauty, you could even say he's currently the most beautiful woman in the world."

Hearing the words "most beautiful woman in the world," the two girls felt a little jealous. What woman wouldn't want to compare beauties? Especially Sily, who always wanted to be the most beautiful and obedient girl in front of Shun. Now, hearing him say "most beautiful" about another woman, a feeling of rivalry rose in her heart. She wouldn't have dared to think such a thing before, but now that Shun is by her side and after the changes he's made to her, she can!

Shio, on the other hand, felt a little jealous when she heard Shun say "most beautiful woman," she didn't know why, but she didn't care.

Silyn suddenly thought, "Why are you talking as if he's only going to accept us? Your spirit and talent are far superior?"

Shun replied, "Yes, but you don't know. The reason the Spirit Hall was established from the very beginning is because of the belief in angels. The Pope's spirit is usually that of a bright angel. My spirit, however, is that of a fallen angel, an enemy of angels. I don't know the current Pope's stance, but other people probably won't accept me into the Spirit Hall; they might even want to kill me. After all, it's normal for them to kill me at such a young age, as an unparalleled genius and enemy of angels."

The two girls suddenly became worried, "What do you mean? Then let's not go! We can go now while there's still time before he arrives!". . .

Seeing the two girls' worries, Shun smiled and patted their heads, "Fools, even if the world were to end, nothing would happen to me. Don't worry about me, just make your own decisions."

The two girls suddenly realized the boy in front of them possessed a power superior to that of the gods, and their faces flushed. Their worries had made them forget everything else.

Shio, embarrassed, turned her face away and sat on the bed, continuing to play with her sword.

......

After spending the night talking and sleeping, the sun had already risen, and the three of them left the room and were wandering around the temple. They would soon be going to the spirit palace with the person who would be arriving.

Soon, the old man, Yuntao, and Sisi were waiting at the gate. Without much delay, a black dot appeared in the distance, running towards them at an extreme speed. In two or three seconds, it had already appeared before them, barely visible. Yes, the shadow Douluo Gui Mei. Her face was covered by a mask, and her body was clad in black, making her look somewhat mysterious.

Upon seeing this person, the old man and the two others knelt down, "We saw the old man!"

Their hearts pounded wildly, "Shadow douluo!"

They expected the person they were sending to be at least the counter-level, but they didn't know this was one of the two most loyal douluos to the papa. Normally, they could only see such beings from a distance!

Shadow nodded in confirmation and looked at the three children. When his eyes fell on Shun, he narrowed slightly, feeling a sense of crisis inside, but immediately shook his head. "This is impossible, a child only 6 years old, no matter how genius he is, cannot threaten me."

Then he spoke in a soft voice, "You three are geniuses, the great papa sent me to pick you up when he heard about you. I hope you won't disappoint the papa."

Shun smiled, "Don't worry, we are completely confident in our abilities."

Shadow liked the child's self-confidence, turned to the old man, "Dean, prepare a car for us, we will leave immediately." "I don't want to keep the Pope waiting too long."

"As you command."

Knowing they were leaving, he had already arranged for a luxurious carriage, equipped with strong horses. He ordered it to be brought later. When the carriage arrived, the three children and the shadow boarded and began their journey towards the spirit palace...
