Chapter 3 - Part 2 - Under the same roof

A tall figure stood motionless, hidden in the shadow cast by the entrance curtain. The small, bare head seemed to emerge slowly from the darkness.

He wore an enormous jacket and a hat that reminds of the famous ones seen in old yellow movies.

But what was truly terrifying was the eye.

An eye filled with hatred, lit up by those despicable beings who have reawakened his theme.

A rhythmic sequence of deep, solemn notes emerged into the air. The sound of a great organ began to fill the room, vibrating in the ears, in the bones, into the chests of the intruders.

The weakest hearts were cornered.

Weapons slipped from their hands, like sweat from their tense foreheads.

The gang stood motionless, paralyzed by that pressure.

Then, suddenly, the music stopped playing.

Silence returned, allowing them to catch their breath.

But as soon as they lowered themselves to retrieve their weapons, a new melody exploded; this time behind them.

Violent noises, distorted sounds, incomprehensible verses that seemed to come from another plane of reality.

A serpentine bite came quickly.

Hamlet's jaws closed on the neck of the rearmost thief, breaking the melody with a clean blow.

Despair spread.

The bandits began shooting at everything they thought was hiding behind the shadows of the bitten body.

From the ceiling, with a series of aerial kicks, Diaz swooped down on them, managing to knock out two-thirds of the gang in a matter of seconds.

The last member, now in a panic, broke his weapon on the floor and stood ready to face anyone who stood in his way.

A sequence of electronic sounds, accompanied by aggressive solos, began to boom throughout the rooms. The walls seemed to vibrate to the rhythm of the melody.

The remaining criminal removed the mask that restricted his breathing.

When it fell to the ground, it revealed feminine features.

Diaz, worried for what could happen to the people around him, did not activate any melody.

He was aware of his own weakness. He knew that revealing himself would only cause problems.

The girl's arm it started to catch fire without alarming her.

But the fire had no colour.

It was a signal: with the next blow, she wouldn't come back.

The shocks generated by her power began to circulate around them, creating fractures in the floor and shaking the entire building. The building was in danger of collapsing, sinking into the cataclysm that stretched beneath them.

The woman noticed it and began to raise her right arm, clenching her fist.

"YOU WILL DROWN IN THIS HELL BY ME ! " she said while the flame from his arm began to reach the ceiling.

Mr. Tibia rush to the door, having taken the defeated attackers back to the dinghy they had arrived in.

The skeleton turned the powerful sound of the organ back on, but the girl didn't fall for it twice. She covered her ear facing him, using her other hand as a cork.

Hamlet lunged at the attacker's leg, trying to slow her.

But she was brutally crushed by one of the boots.

The energy accumulated in the woman's fist was now at its peak.

But just before she could throw it, Diaz, in a fit of anxiety, slapped her desperately.

The two stared at each other, confused.

Then, a shot rang out.

Diaz fell on the ground.

A pool of blood spread beneath her side.

A hunched backlit figure appeared at the entrance to the house, while holding a rifle in his hands continuing to emit smoke from the barrel.

"It's been a while since I've seen rebels in this area..." he sneered.

"Nice mannequin out there."

pointing with his thumb behind him

"Too bad these electronic beings went out when they come into contact with water."

Diaz was struggling to breathe beccause of the great amount of blood loss.

Hamlet was no better off.

"Tell me, Raily... why are you taking so long to take out the rubbish?" he sneered amusedly slowly approaching her.
