Chapter 175 - No money for the hospital

But halfway through, a sudden spike of pain shot through his injured arm again. His grip loosened involuntarily, his balance faltered, and his hand slipped.

Judith fell to the ground for the third time.

This time, she didn't even have the strength to cry out. She lay there stiffly, staring at the ceiling, her eyes filled with deep resentment and despair.

In that instant, hatred surged in her heart.

So this was the son she had raised for more than ten years.

Even a dog would know to save its master at a critical moment. And yet her own son had let her fall again and again.

Steven froze.

By the time he reacted and reached out again, it was already too late. His mother had already hit the ground.

Fear finally overwhelmed him. He squatted down beside her, his voice trembling.

"Mother, are you okay? How's your waist? I… I didn't mean it just now. My hand suddenly hurt again, I really couldn't hold on…"

Judith didn't believe him at all.
