She stepped forward and brought her foot down hard on his hand. The sound of bones grinding made his scream cut off abruptly.
"So, you are Miranda's brother, huh. Your father is only a County Council Leader, yet you already dare act like this," she said coolly.
"If he were an elected councillor, you'd probably think the sky belonged to you."
"I'm going to teach you a lesson on his behalf."
She leaned down slightly, her voice low and sharp. "A dog that lives off its owner's power. Without your father, what are you?"
"Remember this kick," she continued coldly. "If you don't change, I promise you'll regret it for the rest of your life."
Charles's face twisted in agony. The pain in his lower body was unbearable, his hand felt shattered, and he couldn't even scream properly anymore.
