Chapter 2 - Sara & Emma

Nezrith opened his eyes slowly as the morning sun came through the thin white curtains in his bedroom window. The bright light spread across his bed and made the clean white sheets look fresh and warm. The room stayed quiet except for the soft sounds of birds singing outside in the trees. His body still felt a little tired from the long active day before, with the football game and everything else, but he also felt rested and full of energy for what the new day would bring. He stretched his arms high above his head and took a slow deep breath. The muscles in his back and legs felt loose and good after all the running and movement.

He sat up on the edge of the bed and swung his legs down to the floor. The wooden surface felt cool against his bare feet as he stood up. He walked over to the window and pulled the curtains open all the way. Outside, the neighborhood street looked calm and peaceful. A few cars drove by slowly on the road. Some neighbors walked their dogs along the sidewalk, and the dogs stopped to sniff the grass now and then. The sky stayed clear and bright blue without any clouds in sight. Everything looked like it would be a perfect warm day.

Nezrith went into his bathroom and turned on the shower. He waited a few moments for the water to heat up. Soon steam started to fill the small space and made the mirror fog a little. He stepped under the running water and let it flow over his head and down his whole body. The hot water helped wash away the last feelings of sleep and made him feel fully awake. He picked up the soap that smelled clean and fresh and rubbed it over his skin. He washed his hair with shampoo until it felt soft and clean. After rinsing everything off, he turned off the water and grabbed a large towel to dry himself. He looked in the mirror while wiping the fog away. His face looked rested and healthy. His eyes appeared bright and full of quiet excitement for the plans ahead.

He walked back to his room and put on fresh clothes. He chose a simple gray t-shirt that fit close against his chest and arms and a pair of dark jeans that felt comfortable. He ran his fingers through his hair a few times to comb it back neatly. Then he went downstairs to the kitchen. His mother had already gone to work, but she had left breakfast ready on the table for him. There was a plate with scrambled eggs, buttered toast, and slices of fresh fruit like apples and bananas. A glass of cold orange juice stood next to it. Nezrith sat down at the table and started eating slowly. The eggs felt soft and warm in his mouth. The toast had melted butter that tasted rich. The fruit was sweet and juicy with every bite. While he ate, his thoughts turned to Sara and all the things they had talked about on the phone last night. A small happy smile came across his face as he pictured her in that red dress.

When he finished the meal, he took his plate and glass to the sink and washed them quickly. He grabbed his phone and car keys from the counter and walked out the front door. The outside air felt cool and fresh against his skin as he locked the house behind him. He got into his car and started driving toward the shopping center close to home. The roads stayed quiet with not much traffic yet. He turned on the radio and listened to some light upbeat music that played softly while he drove.

The shopping center was a large open area with many different stores all connected. Cars filled most of the parking spaces, but he found one not too far from the main entrance. He got out and walked toward the big glass doors. They slid open automatically with a soft sound, and cool air from inside rushed out to meet him. The whole place smelled of fresh coffee from a small cafe near the door and warm bread from a bakery stand. People moved around everywhere, some carrying shopping bags, others looking into store windows or walking fast to get where they needed.

Nezrith decided he wanted to buy a small gift for Sara to make the day even better. He thought about the things she liked to wear. She often had pretty necklaces or bracelets that caught the light. He walked into a jewelry store that had bright lights inside making all the items shine on display. Glass cases lined the walls and center islands, full of rings, earrings, chains, and more. A friendly woman stood behind the counter and smiled when she saw him come in. "Can I help you find something today?" she asked in a kind and helpful voice.

"Yes, please," Nezrith replied. "I need a gift for my friend. Something nice and simple, maybe a necklace that looks pretty."

The woman nodded and pulled out a few different options from the case to show him on a black velvet tray. One necklace stood out right away. It had a thin silver chain with a small heart pendant. In the center of the heart sat a tiny red stone that caught the light and looked bright and warm. The design stayed simple without being too large or showy. Nezrith knew Sara would like it because it fit her style perfectly. "I will take this one," he said with a nod.

The woman smiled again and wrapped the necklace carefully in a small blue gift box. She tied a thin ribbon around it to make it look special. Nezrith paid at the counter and slipped the box into his jeans pocket so it stayed safe. He felt good about the choice and knew it would make Sara happy when she saw it.

He walked around the shopping center for a short time more but did not buy anything else. The quick trip felt nice and relaxing. Soon he headed back to his car and drove home again. The roads stayed easy to drive with light traffic. At home, he went up to his room and placed the gift box on his desk. He sat down for a moment and realized he should call Lila to keep everything looking normal. He could not let things feel strange from his side.

He picked up his phone and found Lila's number. He pressed call and waited as it rang several times. Finally she answered. "Hey, babe," Lila said in a happy voice that still sounded a bit sleepy from morning.

"Good morning," Nezrith replied in a calm and warm tone. "How did you sleep last night?"

"Pretty good. I miss you a lot already though. What are your plans for today?"

"Just taking it easy around home. I played football with the guys last night, so my body feels a little tired still. I might meet up with some friends later or something."

"That sounds nice and relaxing. I have classes all day today and then I need to spend time in the library studying. It will be boring but necessary."

"You will do great with your work," he said to encourage her. "By the way, I picked up a small gift for you yesterday when I was out running errands. I want to give it to you when you come home this weekend."

Lila made a soft laughing sound. "You always find ways to spoil me. Thank you so much. I love you."

"I love you too," he answered without hesitation. They kept talking for about ten more minutes about everyday things. She told him about her upcoming classes and a funny story from her dorm. He shared details from the football game and how his team won. They made loose plans for the weekend when she would return home. The conversation flowed easy and natural. Nezrith felt a small twist of guilt inside his chest for a moment, but he pushed it away and focused on the call. They ended with another exchange of "I love you" before hanging up.

He set the phone down on the desk and checked the time on the clock. It was getting close to two o'clock, the time he planned to go to Sara's house. He picked up the small blue gift box again and put it back in his pocket. He stood in front of the mirror one more time to check his appearance. His clothes looked clean and fit well. His hair stayed neat. Everything felt ready. He left the house, locked the door behind him, and got into his car for the drive.

The trip to Sara's neighborhood took around twenty minutes on familiar roads. Her area had quiet streets lined with large green trees that gave shade. The houses stood spaced apart with nice lawns and gardens. Many had clean driveways and flowers planted along the walks. Sara's house was painted white with blue shutters on all the windows. Colorful flowers grew in pots near the front door, adding bright touches. No other cars sat in the driveway except for Sara's small red one parked to the side. Her parents had left for their weekend trip just as she mentioned.

Nezrith parked his car along the street in front of the house and walked up the short path to the door. His heart started to beat a little faster with anticipation as he got closer. He pressed the doorbell button and waited. Inside the house, he heard quick footsteps approaching. The door opened wide, and Sara stood there with a large excited smile on her face. She looked exactly like he imagined in the short red dress that fit tight against her body and stopped high on her smooth thighs. Her long brown hair hung loose and shiny down her back. Her eyes looked bright and full of clear desire as they met his.

"Finally you are here," she said in an eager voice and reached out to grab the front of his shirt. She pulled him inside the house quickly. The door closed behind them with a firm click. Right away in the hallway, Sara pressed her whole body against his and kissed him hard on the mouth. Her lips felt soft and warm and moved with hunger. Her hands slid up his back and held him close. Nezrith kissed her back with the same strong feeling. His hands went straight to her hips and pulled her even tighter against him. He felt the heat from her skin through the thin dress fabric, and he could tell right away that she wore nothing underneath, just as she had promised on the phone.

They kissed for a long moment in the hallway before pulling apart slowly. Sara's cheeks looked a little red from the excitement. She gave a soft laugh and looked up into his eyes. "I missed you so much since last time," she said honestly.

"I can feel that," Nezrith replied with a warm smile. He reached into his pocket and pulled out the small blue box. "I brought something for you today."

Sara's eyes opened wider with surprise. "Really? For me?" She took the box from his hand gently and opened the lid carefully. When she saw the silver necklace with the heart and red stone, she let out a happy gasp. "This is so beautiful." She lifted it out and held it up to the light coming from a nearby window. The heart pendant caught the sun and sparkled nicely. She put it around her neck right there in the hallway and fastened the clasp. The heart rested perfectly just above the top of her dress on her chest. "Thank you, it means a lot." She leaned in and kissed him again, this time softer and longer to show her thanks.

"Come with me," she said after the kiss and took hold of his hand firmly. Her fingers felt warm wrapped around his. She led him through the hallway into the large kitchen. The house smelled wonderful from food cooking. Something bubbled gently on the stove and filled the air with good scents. "I wanted to make us lunch first before we get to all the other fun," she explained with a playful look.

The kitchen felt bright and open with sunlight pouring in through big windows above the sink. White cabinets covered the walls, and a large center island had stools pulled up around it. Pots sat on the stove with steam rising. Sara had prepared pasta in a rich tomato sauce with pieces of chicken mixed in. Garlic bread baked in the oven and made the whole room smell warm and inviting. A big bowl of fresh green salad with tomatoes and dressing waited on the counter ready to serve.

"You made all this food yourself?" Nezrith asked, feeling impressed and touched by the effort.

Sara nodded with a proud smile. "Yes, I enjoy cooking when I have the house to myself and time. I wanted our day together to feel special from the start." She moved around the kitchen with easy confident steps to finish the last things. She stirred the thick red sauce slowly with a wooden spoon. Steam rose up carrying the smells of tomatoes, garlic, and herbs. She opened the oven door carefully and checked the garlic bread. It looked golden brown on top and perfect.

Nezrith sat down on one of the stools at the island and watched her work. Sara looked attractive in every movement. The short red dress moved with her body when she walked or reached for things. Her smooth legs showed fully, and every time she bent over to get a plate or utensil, the dress rode up a little higher on her thighs. She knew he watched her closely and gave him small smiles over her shoulder now and then.

They worked together to set the table in the dining room that connected to the kitchen. They placed plates, forks, knives, and glasses neatly. Sara poured cold water into the glasses and added thin slices of lemon that floated on top. The hot food came out from the kitchen on large plates. They sat down across from each other at the wooden table. The pasta tasted rich and full of flavor with the sauce coating every piece. The chicken felt soft and juicy inside. The garlic bread had a crisp outside and soft warm center. The salad added fresh cool bites between the hot food. They ate slowly and enjoyed the meal.

While eating, Sara talked about her week at college. She shared funny stories about one of her teachers who always mixed up names and about things her friends did in the dorm. Nezrith told her more details about the football game the night before, how he scored his two goals, and the cheers from his teammates. Under the table, their feet touched sometimes on purpose. Sara's bare foot brushed against his leg lightly now and then. Her eyes stayed fixed on him a lot during the talk, and she played with the new heart necklace between her fingers, touching the red stone gently.

When they finished eating, they cleared the table and went back to the kitchen to clean up together. Nezrith stood at the sink and washed the dishes with warm soapy water while Sara dried them with a towel and put them away in the cabinets. Their arms brushed against each other often as they worked side by side. The kitchen felt warm from the earlier cooking and from being so close together. Small touches happened naturally, like when Sara reached past him for a plate and her body pressed lightly against his side. When the last dish went into the cabinet and everything looked clean, Sara turned to face him fully. She had a small secret smile on her lips. "I did something extra for today," she said. "I invited someone to join us."

Nezrith looked at her with raised eyebrows, feeling curious. "Who did you invite?"

"My close friend Emma. She knows all about us and what we do. I told her the details a while ago. She said she wanted to meet you in person... and maybe take part a little if everyone feels good about it."

Right at that moment, the doorbell rang through the house. Sara's smile grew even bigger and more excited. "That must be her now," she said.

She walked quickly to the front door and opened it. Emma stood on the step outside with a shy but happy look. She had blonde hair cut straight to her shoulders and bright green eyes that looked around a little nervously. She wore a short black skirt that showed her legs and a white top that fit close to her shape. She held a small bag in one hand. "Hi Sara," Emma said softly and stepped inside for a quick hug from her friend.

Sara closed the door and led Emma into the kitchen where Nezrith waited. "Emma, this is Nezrith," Sara introduced with a proud tone.

Emma looked at Nezrith from head to toe slowly. A small pink color came to her cheeks. "Nice to finally meet you," she said in a soft voice that showed excitement underneath. She reached out her hand.

Nezrith took her hand gently. Her skin felt warm and soft. "Nice to meet you too, Emma," he replied with a friendly nod.

Sara watched them both with happy eyes and then locked the front door firmly. The house now felt full of quiet strong energy with the three of them inside alone. The afternoon sun still shone bright through all the windows, but the air carried a new feeling of possibilities and closeness.

Sara reached out and took one hand from each of them. "Let's all go to the living room," she suggested gently. "We can sit and talk for a bit and see how everything feels."

They walked together into the large living room. Soft comfortable couches sat around a low wooden coffee table. Big windows let in plenty of natural light that made the room look warm and open. Bright colored pillows rested on the seats for extra comfort. Sara sat down first in the middle of the main couch. She pulled Nezrith down to sit on her right side and guided Emma to sit on her left. The three of them fit close together on the couch, with arms and legs touching lightly.

Emma looked a little nervous at first. She crossed her legs one way and then switched them the other way. Her hands rested in her lap. Sara placed a gentle hand on Emma's knee to help her relax. "We are all friends here and can take things slow," Sara said in a calm reassuring voice. "No one has to do anything they do not want."

Nezrith felt the warmth from Sara's body pressed against his arm on one side. On the other side, Emma's shoulder brushed against him lightly. The room smelled faintly of the garlic and herbs from lunch mixed with the light sweet perfumes both girls wore.

They started talking about easy normal things to make everyone comfortable. Emma asked Nezrith questions about playing football, like how long he had been on the team and what position he liked best. Nezrith answered and told a short funny story from a recent game that made both girls laugh out loud. Sara talked about how she and Emma became close friends at the start of college and shared classes together. Slowly the conversation moved to more personal topics. Sara mentioned the new necklace again and how much she liked it. Emma leaned over a little to look closer. "It really looks pretty on you," Emma said and reached out to touch the heart pendant lightly.

Her fingers brushed against Sara's warm skin just below the necklace on her upper chest. Sara looked over at Nezrith with eyes that showed clear interest and invitation. The touch lingered for a moment longer than needed. The air in the room started to feel warmer and more charged.

Sara turned her head toward Emma and leaned in slowly. She placed a soft kiss on Emma's lips. It started light and gentle, just a touch, but then became deeper as Emma kissed back right away without pulling away. Their mouths moved together naturally. Nezrith watched them closely from his seat. His body began to feel hot inside as he saw the kiss grow more passionate. When Sara and Emma finally broke apart, both girls had slightly red faces and quick breathing. Sara turned to Nezrith next and kissed him deeply the same way, her hand resting on his thigh. After that kiss, she looked at both of them with a satisfied smile.

Emma's cheeks stayed pink, and she bit her lower lip gently for a second. "This already feels really nice," she said in a quiet but honest voice.

Sara stood up from the couch slowly and reached for their hands again. "My bedroom upstairs will be more comfortable for us," she said with a soft inviting tone. "We can move there and keep going."

They both stood and followed her lead. Sara walked ahead up the wide staircase. The steps had soft carpet that felt good under their feet and made no loud sounds. Family pictures in frames hung along the wall going up, showing Sara at different ages with her parents and brother, but no one paid attention to them now. At the top, Sara's bedroom door stood open waiting. The room felt large and welcoming with a king-size bed in the center covered in light blue sheets that looked fresh and smooth. Many pillows piled up high against the headboard in different sizes. A large window on one wall looked out to the green trees in the backyard, letting in bright sunlight that filled the whole space.

Sara stepped inside first and waited for them to enter. Then she reached back and closed the door firmly. The lock clicked into place with a clear sound that made the room feel private and safe. The sunlight continued to pour in and made everything look warm and ready for what would come next. The three of them stood close together near the bed, feeling the growing heat and excitement in the quiet space.
