Chapter 1 - Chapter 1 -“A New Threat in a Peaceful World”

Hey. I'm Dios.

Twenty years ago, I slayed the almighty Demon King—the one who terrorized the continent of Toran for twelve long years.

And now?

Now I'm trying my best to enjoy this so-called era of peace… though I'll admit, it's been a bit challenging.

All I ever do these days is sign contracts, give public speeches, and kill one or two crazed dragons on the side.

So boring.

The Hero's Guild commissions take care of every single need I have. Comfort, luxury, praise—everything.

But honestly?

I crave a little life-threatening danger from time to time.

I'm selfish, yeah. I know.

There's no strong fighter left to challenge me.

That's the curse of being overpowered.

And my trusty companions?

They're all busy living their own lives now.

Ahhh… such a bummer.

Then—

The sky trembled.

The air grew uneasy, and the heavens slowly dyed red as space itself split open.

"What the hell is happening…?"

From the rift, two strange figures emerged.

One was a scary-looking dude in a tuxedo—formal wear and all.

…LMAOOOO.

And then—

Oh my goodness gracious.

Who is that beautiful damsel?!

I was stunned. Completely breathless.

Sparkly red ears.

Blue-silver hair.

An astonishing physique.

Oh no.

I think this is love at first sight.

The male figure stepped forward and made his declaration:

"I am the Celestial Demon Lord, Varal, and I have come to claim this continent in my daughter's name."

"…Was that speech okay, darling?"

"I don't know, Dad," she replied uninterestedly

"It was a bit tacky. And that line has been overused by a lot of villains."

"I am no villain, Dendra! I am the—"

"CELESTIAL DEMON LORD," she cut in.

"I know, I know, Dad."

I stepped forward.

"Tuxedo freak, I don't think I can let you carry out your mission—so move along or get destroyed."

Varal glared at me.

"You insignificant creature… do you think you can stop me?"

"Dad," Dendra sighed,

"that was so cringe."

Quick question.

Where did they even come from???
