The message was from Amanda and as
Lucian stared at the message on his cracked phone screen, his jaw was clenching tighter with each word he read.
Amanda: "I don't know what your father heard, but he just sent another batch of men to find you. You must leave New York before the end of today. I've arranged new travel documents under a false identity. The tickets are ready. Pack your bags right away."
Before Lucian could finish reading through, another message came through immediately.
"Dimitri, this is more serious than ever. They have orders not to return until they've found you."
Lucian's grip tightened on the phone until he heard the screen crack further.
Run?
That was what he had always done before, since when he ran away from the palace, after telling his father he was bored of the routine- his duty of enforcing law which entailed killing even his kinds and bringing him lots of enemies.
