Everyone gathered in one place, staring at the two corpses lying on the racks. Liu Ly squeezed through the crowd and stepped forward. The moment she saw the bodies, she completely broke down and screamed,

"What happened to them?"
The military explained,
"They came to the safe zone on their own. We mistook them for zombies and shot them."
Hearing this, Liu Ly fell into despair. She clutched her parents' bodies and wailed in grief. Lee Yan stepped out from the crowd, held her tightly, and said,

Chapter One: The Fool

Yeey and Kaize were sitting together, kissing each other, when Liu Ly walked in. Seeing this eye-searing scene, she said,
"Are you two done kissing yet?"
Yeey and Kaize stopped. Yeey frowned and said,
"Could you knock before coming in?"
Just then, Lee Yan walked over and said,
"Alright, alright. It's time for school. Get ready."
Liu Ly turned and went downstairs. Fumei handed her a packed breakfast box and said,
"Don't go hungry at school, okay?"
Liu Ly nodded. Kaize and Yeey came down from upstairs.
Yeey stepped forward and hugged Fumei.
"Bye."
Fumei smiled and said,
"Alright, go to school. Don't be late."
Kaize smiled and waved at Fumei, then followed Yeey and Liu Ly out of the house. Lee Yan walked to Fumei's side, and she leaned on his shoulder, watching the children disappear into the distance.
As Yeey, Kaize, and Liu Ly stepped outside, Chen Jianhuo's (Principal Chen) car was parked there. Lijuan rolled down the window and waved at Liu Ly, who excitedly ran over.
After getting into the car, Liu Ly said to Lijuan,
"Long time no see, sis."
Lijuan smiled at her.
Yeey and Kaize squeezed in as well. Liu Ly looked at them and said,
"Can one of you sit in the passenger seat? It's way too crowded back here."
Yeey picked Kaize up and said,
"Why not let him sit on my lap?"
As he spoke, Kaize sat on Yeey's lap. Lijuan and Liu Ly rolled their eyes at them.
From the driver's seat, Jianhuo said,
"Hold tight."
With that, he started the car and sped off.
Soon, they arrived at the school and walked inside. Lijuan and Liu Ly went to their respective classrooms, while Yeey and Kaize stood outside and said goodbye.
"See you at the cafeteria later."
Kaize smiled at Yeey and said,
"Give me a kiss before you go."
Yeey leaned in and kissed him. Pan Oye stood nearby, smiling as he watched them.
Yeey turned to him and said,
"Is it really necessary to spy on us?"
Oye replied,
"I'm not spying. I'm watching openly."
Kaize blushed and turned around, walking into the classroom. Yeey looked at Oye and mocked his name,
"Oye!"
After that, Yeey walked into another classroom, and Oye followed him in.
During class, Oye leaned closer to Yeey and asked,
"How long have you two been together?"
Yeey pushed him away and said,
"None of your business."
Oye sat back upright and said,
"Boring."
Yeey turned his face toward him. Oye continued,
"Then… have you ever been bitten by zombies?"
Yeey said impatiently,
"If I had been bitten, I wouldn't be sitting here."
At that moment, Teacher Ye, who was lecturing, stopped and shouted at Yeey and Oye,
"You two, get out and stand outside!"
Yeey and Oye stared at the teacher in a daze.
The scene shifted. Yeey and Oye were standing in the hallway.
Oye tried to continue,
"And also—"
Before he could finish, Yeey covered his mouth and said,
"Have you asked enough already? You got me punished, and you're still asking?"
Oye looked at him, then turned his head away.
Just as Yeey was about to calm down, a news broadcast came from the TV above their heads.
Yeey looked up. The news said:
"On this day last year, a horrifying zombie attack occurred in Korya. Today, these zombies have been trapped within Korya by some mysterious force. Even stranger, it seems as if something is guiding them, as they stand in circles around the cemetery."
Yeey stared at the footage seriously.
When the bell rang, Yeey led Kaize, Liu Ly, and Lijuan out of the school gate. Oye ran over and asked,
"Are you not going to the next class?"
Yeey didn't answer. He led them into Jianhuo's car. Just as Jianhuo was about to drive, Oye opened the door and sat in the passenger seat.
Yeey asked,
"What are you doing?"
Oye looked at them and said,
"Skipping class together."
Yeey looked at him speechlessly, then said to Jianhuo,
"Drive."
At home, Fumei and Lee Yan were sitting on the sofa watching a movie when Yeey and the others suddenly burst in.
Fumei stood up in shock and asked,
"Why are you back? Aren't you supposed to be in class?"
Yeey looked at her and said,
"Take out the map of Korya."
Lee Yan asked in confusion,
"What?"
Yeey shouted,
"Now!"
Soon, Lee Yan spread the map out on the table. Present were Oye, Kaize, Yeey, Liu Ly, Lijuan, Lee Yan, Jianhuo, and Fumei.
Yeey quickly marked the school and Fumei's company on the map, then used a compass to connect the two points, forming a circle.
Pointing at the cemetery in the center of the circle, Yeey said,
"Do you understand now?"
Everyone looked confused. Oye sneered and said,
"You draw a circle without explaining anything and then ask if we understand? I have to say, you're pretty humorous."
Yeey pressed his lips together and said,
"My mom's company and my school form a circle. In the middle is the cemetery in Korya. If everything started there, that explains why the school and the company fell at the same time."
Kaize looked at him in confusion and asked,
"So you're saying the source of the zombie virus is there?"
Yeey nodded.
"Yes. If this guess is correct, then once we destroy that place, everything will be over."
Fumei touched Yeey's face and said,
"For us, it's already over. Let the military handle the rest, okay?"
Yeey looked at everyone and said,
"If I show this conclusion to the military, they'll just treat me like a fool."
Lijuan cursed,
"You really are a fool. We barely escaped, and now you want us to go back? If you want to go, go by yourself. I'm leaving."
Lijuan pulled Jianhuo and walked out the door.
Liu Ly and Lee Yan went upstairs as well. Yeey looked at Oye, Kaize, and Fumei and asked,
"You all think I'm a fool too, don't you?"
Kaize stepped forward, trying to hug him. Yeey shoved him away, ran into his room, and locked the door.
Fumei and Kaize chased after him. Oye shrugged his shoulders where he stood.
