The guild masters have fallen. The elite teams were heavily damaged and were thrown off the wall, unconcious. The S-tier adventurers who were good at combat were in critical condition that the divine healers are prioritizing them while the S-class mages casts barriers after barriers of protection as the rift monster destroys their strongest barriers with every swipe of it's claws and us— the members of the reaper squad has been easily defeated by the great rift dragon.
Slowly, I am losing consciousness as i clutched on my injured arm. I gave it my all...No... We— did our best.
All our skills, utils, all our resources, even our hidden aces... We used up everything.
We refused to back down and we keep attacking and defending over and over again yet it didn't take an hour for it to destroy anything and everything on its path. It didn't even work with other monsters, no... It fights on its own and with the situation we are currently in, I'm pretty sure it explains everything. This beast doesn't need help... It is the definition of a destroyer... It is not just a disaster class but something more sinister. It's like something that came out from the depths of hell that even my shadowed summons can't make any damage.
It towers over us...
Clawing and toying at the barriers with an ammused look on its eyes. It's not even taking it seriously... It's waiting till all the resources has been wasted... It's waiting till the healers and mage are exhausted as it stood with its blue scales, sharp claws, wrapped in blue deadly and indistinguishable fire as it leaks dark and heinous aura with chains wrapped all over it's body as if they were used to contain but it got out it anyway as the bolted part was still hanging on the edge of one end the chains...
Those chains were definitely not for decoration...
They were heavy and stronger than any steel that even the guild master's corrosion skill was not able to affect it even a tiny bit...
The city we are trying to protect... It's going to be destroyed. I can feel my heart raising and there are goosebumps all over my body.
For the first time since earth has changed...

I've fought millions of monsters from dungeons, towers and rifts but this is the first time that i felt that the world is going to end...
The civilians had been successfully evacuated when the rift has been detected and I'm sure that once it's done with us, it's gonna go directly to the shelter and will annihilate the rest of the world.
