Chapter 1 - —Prologue— "The Beginning Of The Chaos"

In a vast and peaceful city, people filled the streets, busy with their daily lives.

Children ran around laughing, their voices echoing through the air. Flowers bloomed on every decorative tree lining the roads, painting the city with colors of joy and harmony.

"Mom! Mom! When I grow up, I want to become a great knight! Just like Father! I'll protect the kingdom with a huge sword!"

A small boy said with sparkling eyes, tightly holding his mother's hand.

His mother smiled gently, a basket resting in her arm.

"Of course. One day, when you grow up, you'll become a great knight—just like your father."

"Mhm!"

The boy nodded eagerly and continued eating his bread.

But sadly—his dream would never be more than a dream.

The blue sky suddenly fell silent.

One by one, people stopped in their tracks.

All eyes turned upward—toward a black object flying high above the city.

Not one.

Dozens.

They moved in formation, heading in the same direction.

"Is that… a griffin?"

"No… dragons don't sound like that."

Because what filled the sky was not the sound of wings, but a long, heavy hum, "HMMMMMMMM", unbroken and lifeless. The air trembled, as if a colossal mechanical beast was passing overhead.

Their wings did not flap.

They did not move at all.

Then—one after another—the black objects began to drop something.

Those standing beneath them felt a terrible sense of dread.

The next moment—

BOOOOOOMMMMM!!

The ground was torn apart. The air shattered.

Explosions erupted across the city—again and again—like drums of death beaten without mercy. Fire swallowed buildings, and stone and flesh were hurled into the sky without distinction.

Joy collapsed into screams.

People ran in panic, like an anthill crushed beneath a careless foot. But wherever they fled, explosions followed.

Children cried out for their parents.

Parents screamed for their children.

There was nowhere to hide.

No prayer fast enough.

Barriers crumbled. Walls fell. Bodies were torn apart.

While the city drowned in fire and smoke—

Far from there, along the coast, massive ships approached the shore.

They were made entirely of black iron, towering like moving fortresses. They had no sails—yet they moved. Gigantic cannons lined their hulls, and an unfamiliar flag fluttered atop their masts.

As the ships docked, figures clad in strange uniforms descended.

Flashes of light burst forth.

TAK—TAK—TAK!

The coastal guards fell one by one, their bodies pierced by something faster than any arrow.

Then—something even more horrifying emerged from the ships.

A box-shaped machine.

Moving on its own.

Walking without legs.

The cannon fired, reloaded, and fired again—without crew, without magic.

Its destructive power surpassed any artillery known to this world.

The knights fought desperately—but they were defeated not by cowardice, but by ignorance.

What they faced was not magic.

It was something that had never existed in Eatherlion.

The invasion spread.

Fast. Precise. Relentless.

As if it had happened countless times before.

And indeed—it was not only the city of Slavonia, the greatest port city of Eatherlion, that fell under attack—but the entire world.

By an empire

said to possess no magic at all.

That empire continued its conquest, driven by the ambition of a single individual—

Someone

who did not even originate from Eatherlion.

What you are about to read is the story of a person who was suddenly transported to this world—and devised a plan to conquer it, not with magic,

but with science.
