Chapter 4 - MY BEAUTIFUL WIFE

Silvia already went through with what she had planned for the day. She got herself some very nice meals. She still had some money left from the wedding gifts a few relatives and old classmates gave to her. It's a good thing she never told her mother about it and saved it instead.

She already called her mother, and she was right, she did go back 17 years ago.

She wanted to assume she was dreaming since it all felt too good to be true

But was it really good to be honest?.

She decided to head back home and stooped in front of a store with glass windows. It had an extremely beautiful sewing kit inside and the price tag read "16,000 dollars"

16,000????

She immediately felt herself looking away and kept walking her way. She couldn't even afford that kit at the moment.

Maybe after her she gets the job.

She immediately quit her internship due to pressure from her mother regarding the marriage back then.

But she still applied for job hoping she could continue work while being married

How foolish could she have been?

She got the form filled and was expecting a response in the next two weeks. Just like the description said. And she really prayed that she got it this time ...

"I need this too much" She told herself.

.....

Presol was driving down to his house. He was done for the day and all he could think about was getting home early, having a nice meal and going to bed. He really wanted one day of work but he couldn't when he found himself catering for two people now.

He had a wife, after all

His attention was caught by a woman with long black shiny hair and smooth fair skin. She looked a little familiar from the back but he was too distracted by how sexy her body was. She had long straight legs and a very small, defined waist and then the hips. Her backside was also a view and he couldn't help but admire even though she was wearing a dress. He intentionally increased his speed and met up with the lady, then gave a shocked expression

"Isn't that Silvia?" He thought "Even better" he didn't plan on stopping to approach the lady, he just planned to admire and pass. But he couldn't stop now since that was his wife.

Silvia looked at the black jeep surprised. The jeep reminded her of Presol's before he gave it out to Ashley during the time he started his infidelity.

He still had that cold, nonchalant look on his face, but then he brought down the glass and gave a looked at his surprised wife

"Get in" he said "Are you headed home?"

"Yes" she replied, then found herself entering the car and he immediately drove off

"Has she always been that attractive?"

Silvia reached for her handbag and zipped it tightly.

He couldn't care less where she had gone. After all, he didn't marry her out of love. He was equally forced into the alliance with a promising share of his grandfather's company.

He was going to take after his father's own anyways but his grandfather's company was a golden prize to be won.

A company with 86% profit boots in the global market was something that could set him for life. He was power hungry yes, just like any other businessman.

But now .... He just wanted to ....

"Where are you coming from?"

That was a first for Silvia. Her marriage was never the brightest but everything started falling apart 3 years later. And if she was correct, this was just a month exactly after the marriage.

Which meant Presol didn't give two shits about her or her life until after he became extremely controlling, toxic and unbearable

And she would only get those type of questions when she knew she was in trouble.

*I went to try out some new cuisines" she replied, in her quiet voice. Even though she has returned, she was still scared of Presol and wasn't sure what to do with him knowing fully well that 3 years before, he wasn't exactly the madman that made her life miserable

Was he also a victim?

But isn't a person already evil if they have it in them to be evil?

"Did you enjoy them?" He asked again.

This was extra weird now. Presol wasn't exactly the sweetest during their married life. If anything, he only saw Silvia as the lady who cooked his food.

Did .... Returning back alter something?

"Y-yes" she answered quite nervously.

And that was it. The end of the conversation. No one said anything throughout the entire ride home.

Sitting in the car was also a first for Silvia. Presol would never let her walk beside him, talkless of entering his car. She always found herself using the public transportation or getting an Uber. Which was sometimes stressful for her. If she didn't have much on her, she would leg it.

Sometimes that saved her money for other public transportations too.

..............

After getting home, Silvia immediately went into the Kitchen to prepare something down for Presol.

She was confused. Was she really going to wait for 3 years before she finally left him and was free of this loveless life?

Didn't she waht to be happy and find love again?

She wasn't sure. If she should stay and change this marriage. Because after realizing that in 3 years is where the real hell started, she couldn't help but fill herself with regrets.

There was so much she could have done and changed. But then she didn't know better.

Then she didn't know she didn't always have to keep quiet

And that she could voice out to her husband whenever she wanted.

And that it wasn't the end of the world if she did

She served his food and immediately joined him at th dining. Then sat directly opposite him. She examined Presol for a while who was just digging into his food and didn't once look up at her.

She was right

This was exactly their life

"I signed up for a fashion industry" she informed him " I'm expecting a reply in two weeks"

Presol looked up at her, surprised.

He most expectedly did not expect that.

It wasn't even something she was expecting a approval or something.

And neither was she asking for permission

She was expecting a loud disagreement and a lot of noise followed after

"That sounds Productive" he replied "I wish you the best of luck" then he went back to digging his meat.

She was extremely surprised. She wasn't sure whether to celebrate just yet. But she knew he probably didn't have a problem with it. This was still 2008, 3 years before everything went downhill

But then again, his family did say they didn't want an educated girl

She remembered the time she had to take over her mom's grocery store because her mom fell extremely sick and couldn't handle it. Presol got so angry and beat her so badly that she couldn't return the next day to open it. She had to close it down till her mom got back on her feet and was able to re-open it by herself.

"Thank you"

It wasn't that hard. After all he allowed it, but she still wasn't sure what to say.

And just like that, things went back to normal again

Quiet!!!

Even back then, she always knew Presol didn't love her. It's not like she loved him back either but she was willing to go through with it, hoping that they were would be opportunities for her. But the older she grew, the more distant her chances got. And she found herself serving him full time.

She was still devastated about the womb issues, but then she chose to just stay

Because after all who would want a useless, jobless house wife with a million scars and a wounded womb?

She felt he was her only hope and it was too late to go anywhere.

That's why she stayed, despite the abuse.

Even though, she knew he didn't love her back, she hoped for a normal future, and eventually she found herself accepting and fitting into a reality she never wanted.

And she became too scared to even leave anymore.

Was she really ready to wait for another 3 years?

Give it a chance again to decide if it was too late

Or was she ready to explore and leave him behind. It's not like he wanted it either.

After all, for the sske of their businesses, the best thing they felt was right was to exchange their children in the name of agreement.

Yes!!!!

That was all they were to them

Agreements!!!

Silvia immediately got up and cleared the dining, then she went into the kitchen to wash everything up.

Presol then got up. He headed straight into hi room to get a nice rest like he promised himself. Then he started to reminisce to yhe time of the road

"I guess the old man's idea with this marriage might not have been a bad idea after all" he said quietly with a smirk and went into his room.

They had separate rooms, even though they were a couple.

It's not like Silvia was complaining though

Even back then, she still hadn't gotten used to his presence so it only made sense that she was unconcerned.

And then her mind went racing through the same things again ...

She had the power to change everything

To leave this man and start afresh

Instead of choosing to serve him again.

But did she really?

She still ended up inside the marriage again

Exactly a month after infact ....

It was still fresh but a still a little too late.

And now she wasn't sure what to do
