Chapter 14 - Chapter 14: Narrowly escaped

"I've found the way," Siya said.

Ali stared at her. "What kind of way, Boss? Can we really stop this destruction from spreading?"

"Yes," Siya replied with quiet certainty. "We can stop it."

Clara stepped forward anxiously. "How? How can we possibly stop something this big?"

"Calm down," Siya said gently. "I'll explain. Do you remember the dream I mentioned—just before the explosion?"

Andy nodded. "Yes. You were talking about a dark, sealed room. An unknown place."

"That room," Siya said, "is the way."

Confusion spread across their faces.

Ali frowned. "How can a room stop all of this?"

"It can," Siya interrupted firmly. "We need to find it. Something exists there—something powerful enough to prevent this catastrophe."

"But how do we find it?" Andy asked. "Where do we even begin to look?"

Siya took a slow breath. "I need to restore my energy source. If my full power returns, nothing will interrupt my yogic meditation—and I'll be able to locate the path."

Ali hesitated. "What do you need to do for that, Boss?"

Siya's voice turned cold. "I must absorb a source of Divine Energy into myself. And for that… I must awaken it."

"No!" Andy and Ali shouted together.

"No, absolutely not," Andy said fiercely. "We won't let you do this."

Ali stepped closer. "Why would you choose that pain again, Boss? If we let you suffer like before, we'll never forgive ourselves."

Siya looked at them calmly.

"Both of you, listen," she said. "This time will be different. I won't suffer. This time, the Supreme Father Himself will help me. Last time, I was punished—not for awakening Divine Energy, but for loving a demon. This time, the purpose is different."

Her voice softened, but her resolve sharpened.

"With His help, we can give this world a new life. What I'm about to do isn't just important—it's necessary."

Andy and Ali fell silent. Slowly, they nodded.

"When I enter deep meditation," Siya said, "no one must come near me. Nothing should disturb my focus. It will take five or six days for me to return. Remember that."

Clara nodded. "Take care of yourself."

As Siya settled into meditation, a new journey began.

But Andy and Ali remained uneasy, troubled. They prayed silently—for Siya's safe return.

Suddenly, a thunderous noise erupted outside.

All three snapped to attention and ran out.

Their blood ran cold.

Screevers.

Jate's creations—humans fused with metal and flesh.

"Prepare for attack!" Ali shouted. "Seal the gates. Lock the entire area down!"

Clara's voice trembled. "There are thousands—millions of them. We have to leave. If they break in, everyone will be slaughtered."

"She's right," Andy said. "We must evacuate. But what about siya? She ordered us to stay away from her."

Ali clenched his fists. "We'll use our remaining powers to move her without breaking her meditation. Everyone—take the lower tunnel. Vehicles are waiting. Move fast and stay out of their sight!"

They rushed.

"Andy," Ali yelled, "shrink Boss using your power. We need to carry her safely."

Andy nodded. "I'll try."

"Everyone in the vehicles?" Ali shouted.

"Two buses are already out," Clara replied. "We're the last ones."

The engine refused to start.

Behind them, Screevers smashed through the gate.

Two—three of them spotted the vehicle and charged forward.

"Start the car, Andy!" Ali screamed. "If we don't move now, everyone dies! There are too many—we can't fight them alone!"

"I'm trying!" Andy yelled. "It won't start!"

A Screever grabbed the vehicle from behind.

Then—by sheer luck—the engine roared to life.

Ali shouted and pulled the girl beside him down. "Everyone—duck!"

A searing beam of light sliced through the roof of the vehicle, tearing metal apart like paper.

"What was that?" Clara gasped.

"They have eyes," Ali said grimly. "Laser eyes. They can shred anything."

They escaped—but only just.

Now came the harder question.

"Where do we go?" Andy asked. "We can't take everyone anywhere."

Ali looked ahead into the dark road.

"Until Boss wakes up, we keep moving. We can't stay in one place—stopping means death. We'll find food and water and rest only when night fully falls."

Clara turned to the survivors. "Is everyone okay? Anyone injured?"

A chorus of weak no's answered her.

All three exhaled in relief.

They had escaped.

For now.
