Chapter 71 - Ep 71

I'll keep this non-explicit, playful, emotional, and safe—focused on joy, embarrassment, attraction, and sudden fear, not sexual acts.

Episode 71 — Ripples

The water was colder than Lin Yue expected.

He gasped as he stepped fully into the pool, then laughed—an open, startled sound that echoed beneath the waterfall. The mist clung to his hair and lashes, skin cooling instantly as the summer heat finally loosened its grip.

"Careful," Feng Lihan said, already wading in after him.

Too late.

Lin Yue scooped up a handful of water and splashed it straight at Feng Lihan's chest.

For a split second, there was silence.

Then Feng Lihan raised an eyebrow.

"Oh?" he said calmly.

Lin Yue's eyes widened. "Wait—"

Water exploded toward him.

Lin Yue yelped and stumbled back, laughing helplessly as Feng Lihan advanced with deliberate steps, splashing water with every movement. Mo Shan watched for exactly three seconds before Lin Yue grabbed another handful and flung it at him too.

Mo Shan froze.

Then—very deliberately—he rolled up his sleeves.

"That was a mistake," he said.

What followed was chaos.

Water flew in every direction. Lin Yue laughed so hard his sides hurt, ducking and splashing, trying to escape between them only to be caught in a wave from one side or the other. Feng Lihan laughed openly now, rare and bright, while Mo Shan's quiet smile softened into something warm and unguarded.

For a while, there was nothing else.

No titles.

No duties.

No fear.

Just water, laughter, and sunlight breaking across the pool.

When they finally slowed, breathless, Lin Yue leaned against a smooth stone, chest rising and falling. Wet hair clung to his forehead, skin flushed from cold and laughter.

Mo Shan noticed first.

The way water slid over Lin Yue's shoulders, the contrast of pale skin against dark stone, droplets tracing lines down his collarbone. His gaze lingered—only for a moment—but something stirred, unexpected and sharp.

Lin Yue lifted his head.

And then he noticed them.

Feng Lihan stood waist-deep in the pool, crimson wings folded, water gliding over broad shoulders and down a powerful frame carved by battle and fire. Mo Shan stood nearby, calmer, solid—his presence grounded, strength quiet but undeniable.

They both looked… unreal.

Lin Yue swallowed they are so sexy

Heat rushed to his face despite the cold water.

Why do they look like this?

Why do they look even better in water?

He looked away quickly—then accidentally looked back.

Oh no.

His heart raced. His ears burned. He brought a hand up to his face, suddenly flustered, unsure where to put his eyes.

Feng Lihan noticed the change immediately. "Lin Yue?"

Mo Shan stepped closer. "Are you cold?"

Lin Yue opened his mouth to answer—

And something warm slipped past his fingers.

Red.

He froze.

"…Huh?"

A drop fell into the water.

Then another.

Feng Lihan's expression changed instantly. "Blood?"

Mo Shan was already at his side. "Lin Yue, what happened?"

Lin Yue panicked his nose blood after seeing them.

"No—wait—it's not—" He tried to wave them off, mortified. "I was just— I mean—"

The world tilted.

The last thing he saw was both of them reaching for him at the same time.

"Lin Yue!"

His knees gave out.

Water surged as Feng Lihan caught him before he could sink, one arm locking around his back, wings flaring instinctively. Mo Shan grabbed his shoulders, steadying his head above the surface.

"Lin Yue—stay with me," Mo Shan said urgently, pressing his forehead close. "Breathe."

But Lin Yue's eyes fluttered.

And then he went completely limp.

The waterfall roared on, uncaring.

And for the first time that day, fear drowned out the laughter.
