Within the ambandoned temple, Li Xuan didn't encounter anyone. He still moved carefully, untill finally he managed to reach the peak.
"Where is the spring of Life!" Li Xuan indeed had only heard about this place in his previous life.
He didn't know much about it. He had to put in some effort to locate it.
"Senior Brother Kong! I think what junior brother Long said isn't without reason." A female voice sounded from the entrance of Nertherpeak.
Turning his head, Kong didn't seem that surprised by the voice, he replied in a bored tone.
"Oh! So it was you!"
"What is with your tone?" The female voice sounded enraged.
"Mu Qingcheng! Even among all inner disciples you are considered the only person without brains. It isn't shocking for you to speak nonsense." Kong replied casually.
It was the woman Wang Li had passed by climbing the Netherpeak.
She didn't really seem that bright when it came to human interactions, but she was able to become an inner disciple due to her talent in cultivation.
Hearing these words, the female disciple became enraged. She turned her head and some inner disciples didn't evade her gaze in the slightest.
They looked at her, like watching a clown perform. Her gaze then landed on Wang Li sitting isolated on a raised rock.
He was the only anomaly, and even more so the source of the conflict, and yet all this time he was holding onto some book.
It was rare to see books, especially in this era, but he was engrossed in one.
Wang Li had assumed he would easily read through the saber technique, but as time passed ye got engrossed inside. He even forgot about the outside world.
"Where did the master collect this technique? It is..." He found it hard to describe.
The technique wasn't like others that could be graded. Its power was based on the level of strength used. Clearly this meant the technique's power increased with the strength of the user.
While mesmerized at the technique, he was just about to grasp something when he was awakened by sensing a crisis.
The moment he opened his eyes, a stone the size of a fist was thrust towards him. Even though it wasn't enough to kill him, it was capable of giving him some serious pain if he were some ordinary Martial Genesis realm.
The moment his eyes opened, a saber light flashed in them and the stone that had just appeared before him was divided into four parts, deflected into the sides.
Meanwhile his eyes landed on the source of the attack.
It was surprising the woman he had passed over the stairs.
"What is the meaning of this?" He asked calmly, without much anger in his voice.
"Junior brother has some skills! Really admirable, no wonder you are willing to take this path into becoming an inner disciple!" Mu Qingcheng commented casually.
"Right! And?" Wang Li wasn't smiling, as the temperature dropped suddenly. It was even colder than the Netherpeak itself.
Mu Qingcheng felt it, a strange force had locked onto her. It was like a wild best had been awakened and eying her.
"Since senior sister is testing my strength on behalf of the sect, I can't be negligent. Please taste my attack." Wang Li said this, but his saber had already moved.
Mu Qingcheng didn't even have time to react when she felt a strong saber force slam into her.
Boom!
The force was so mighty, she couldn't fight back as she was thrown back forcefully.
Everyone turned to look at Wang Li vigilantly. It was clearly not normal for an outer disciple to be this strong. Kong and Long both had solemn expressions before relaxing.
The Netherworld wasn't some good place, and they still had a long time and opportunity to even become more stronger.
Wang Li on the other hand closed his eyes after crushing that woman, but surprisingly, she didn't appear offended at all.
"Thanks for being merciful!" Mu Qingcheng though disheaveled, was actually not angry.
For such a figure wanting to venture into the Netherworld battlefield instead of waiting for the trials was normal.
What was even more important was that, she was in the wrong trying to meddle too much in others lives.
But Wang Li didn't embarrass her because he didn't feel any killing intent. She was probably just trying to force him from heading to the dangerous place. Seeing he was stronger than her, it was best to let it be.
It was just that compared to the others, Mu Qingcheng was indeed an idiot as she didn't know much about scheming.
She also quickly figured out some of Wang Li's goals. Instead of waiting for the Inner disciple trial, that didn't have many opportunities beneficial to him like the Ancient battlefield in the Netherworld.
Wang Li had never been to the Netherworld, but since Wang Lu gave him the saber, he knew things weren't simple.
Though he had not stayed long with Wang Lu, he knew this woman had a purpose for almost everything she did.
What he didn't expect was that this saber technique was so difficult that he could barely grasp something.
He focused on saber technique again and from time to time he would open his eyes and read through the book.
He had done it repeatedly until he remembered everything before he closed his eyes.
The insights he had in the path of saber slowly flowed through him as his thoughts diverged.
When he finally saw hope, a strange sound erupted from within the depths of Netherpeak.
Before everyone could react, the coldness that assaulted them to their souls.
Since no one present was weak, they stood up and looked towards the source only to see a massive whirlpool taking shape.
It brought with it immense frost. In Wang Li's eyes the expectations had been overturned.
He assumed the Netherworld would have strong demonic Qi rising from the portal, but as it turned out, that was just his expectations.
"The entrance has appeared!" A voice erupted in joy.
"We know!" Another one replied loudly. Clearly displeased by someone trying to explain what was already cleared visible to all.
"Hi junior brother! What is your name?" Wang Li heard a voice and turned over to see Long.
'What can I do for you?" Wang Li wasn't someone naive and saw through this trick.
"Has junior brother already formed a team? If not you can join my team." Long asked with a smile.
"Scram!" Wang Li knew this guy thinking of using him as cannon fodder.
According to what he had learned from Wang Lu's small reminders the most dangerous thing in the Netherworld was mostly fellow disciples.
Wang Li watched Long walk away with an angry expression and didn't care.
He wasn't concerned about some weak inner disciple. After half a decade he also might be an inner disciple and probably even stronger than him.
Since he was already stronger, given a few more years, Wang Li didn't think his situation would get worse.
While Wang Li was lost in thought, he discovered two figures approaching, and they were both women dressed as outer disciples.
Only the moment he saw them, felt a certain disconnect.
His gaze glanced at them casually before looking away, but his eyes remained thoughtful.
"These two women are not right. Whatever, it's not my problem if they don't disturb me.." He thought to himself
His attention then shifted towards the whirlpool that was stabilizing in the void ahead of them. The moment he looked closely, he could see dark red clouds on the other side of the portal that had just formed.
"Okay! Portal is stable! Inner disciples enter based on cultivation!" An old voice sounded, causing everyone to calm down.
Surprisingly, no one dared to act out, each person walked towards the portal orderly.
Wang Li didn't rush to join them, but kept standing on the spot watching them disappear one after another.
Finally when all inner disciples had vanished, he discovered other than the two women from before only a chubby young man was left standing in place. He also had outer disciple uniform.
"Hello! I'm BuFan! Shall we join together?" He stepped forward and asked Wang Li and the other two women.
The women didn't talk, but just nooded.
Wang Li on the other hand, looked at the young man before asking, "What peak are you from?"
"Why? Does junior brother want me to introduce you?" BuFan asked with a chubby smile.
Wang Li on the other hand looked at the chubby guy before asking, "How old are you? Still dare to call me junior brother? "
Looking at the empty portal, Wang Li said, "Let's go!"
The moment Wang Li walked out, the other three followed.
Among all outer disciples, only four came for innner disciple.
"By the junior brother! What is your name?" BuFan asked.
"Just call me Wang Li!" Wang Li replied casually.
"Brother Wang! " BuFan called out.
