"Cannonball!"
A silver beam emerged from the smoke and dust, concentrating all the silver light within Magneton's body in front of it.
Using its Magnet Levitate effect, Magneton hovered in the air, gaining a wider field of vision and making it easier to pinpoint Rhyhorn's location.
"Stone Attack!"
Green frowned. The smoke obscured his vision, preventing him from instantly determining Magneton's exact direction. However, as long as he could see the trajectory of the Cannonball,
Green could instantly pinpoint Magneton's location.
The Cannonball's power could be easily blocked using Stone Attack!
Rhyhorn slammed its head down, countless sharp stones rising up to form a solid fortress in front of it.
The silver beam pierced through the sharp stones. While Stone Attack was more powerful than the Cannonball, Green was using it defensively, not offensively.
The Cannonball shattered the sharp stones before it, completely obliterating them.
As it shattered the last sharp rock, Rhyhorn had already quietly moved away.
"Drill!"
It assumed a charging stance in another open area, its horn glowing brown.
Ground-type move, Drill!
Whoosh!
Rhyhorn's entire body shot out,
heading straight for Magneton's location.
"Ultrasound!" Bai Yu decisively commanded.
Magneton emitted a series of piercing sounds amidst the dust and smoke.
Rhyhorn, charging into the air, its face contorted in a ferocious expression. Having taken Ultrasound at close range, Rhyhorn felt a mental overload, yet still unleashed a near-perfect Drill.
Magneton's figure plummeted from the sky, flung to the ground by the impact.
Rhyhorn, on the other hand, didn't suffer much damage. Its only issue was unstable power; affected by Ultrasound, it entered a state of confusion.
"It didn't fall down?"
"Is it because of the previous Magnet Levitate?"
These were the words of Gary. Magneton, having taken a Ground-type move, couldn't possibly stand up again. That move not only had the ability to levitate Pokémon, but it also made them immune to Ground-type damage?!
Shinji, standing nearby, had already pulled out his Pokédex, which clearly showed the move description for Magnet Levitate:
Magnet Levitate: For turns, grants the user Magnet Levitate, making them float. Pokémon in Magnet Levitate are immune to Ground-type moves.
