Chapter 9 - Chapter Nine: Hashirama Senju

 The Senju clan's residence…

An hour ago, Jin never imagined he would arrive at the residence of Hashirama Senju, the so-called God of Shinobi, so quickly. The grand courtyard was fragrant with flowers and plants, craggy rockeries, and overflowing with rare treasures.

The Senju clan's residence was like a graceful noblewoman, serene, gentle, and noble.

Yet Jin followed closely behind Tsunade, not daring to raise his head. He knew that beneath this seemingly tranquil residence, countless ninjas were lurking in the shadows, watching him intently…

However, the news that Hashirama Senju was still alive truly shocked Jin. According to Naruto fans from his previous life, Hashirama should have died long ago in Konoha's twelfth year. But now, this man who should have died was still alive and well?

Jin quickly adjusted his mindset. After all, the entire Konoha era, the twelfth year, was vaguely documented in Naruto's records.

It wasn't surprising that Hashirama Senju lived longer than expected!

Just as he was thinking this, Tsunade suddenly stopped, grinning.

  "We're here!"

Pulling open the paper sliding door, the young and handsome Hashirama Senju sat upright at a low table on the bright tatami mat, smiling and extending his hand to Tsunade: "Little Tsuna, what brings you to see your grandfather today? What trouble have you gotten into this time?"

As he spoke, Hashirama Senju glanced at Jin meaningfully.

Tsunade buried her face in Hashirama Senju's arms, wriggling like a little eel, and said coquettishly, "Grandpa, can't I come to see you even if I'm not busy? I just missed you..."

Seeing this, Jin's already low head drooped even deeper. It was truly unbelievable that the tyrannical Tsunade could act so coquettishly. Jin couldn't help but imagine the adult Tsunade acting like this in Jiraiya's arms.

Jin couldn't help but shudder; it was a nightmare...

  The incongruity was overwhelming!

However, Hashirama Senju, as expected, knew his little granddaughter well, shaking his head with a smile: "Don't try to make me happy, you little brat. Tell me quickly what happened. Did you hit someone from the Uchiha clan, or did you break some treasure?"

  "Neither..."

Tsunade jumped down from Hashirama's arms, giggling, "I just played dice and lost a little something."

  "Dice?"

Hashirama's eyes widened in surprise, "Who taught you to play?"

Tsunade didn't hesitate, immediately betraying Jin standing to the side...

  "It was me..."

Jin looked up, his small face full of a comical, bitter smile.

Seeing this, Hashirama involuntarily spat out a mouthful of tea, exclaiming in surprise, "This little guy beat me to it..."

Hashirama also loved gambling, and his luck was equally terrible. Or rather, Tsunade's gambling addiction was entirely caused by Hashirama. Even after being resurrected, Hashirama was quite pleased to see that Tsunade had inherited his gambling will.

"I didn't expect you to be faster than me."

Hashirama Senju muttered, shaking his head, and looked at Jin with a strange expression. "Kid, if Tobirama finds out, you're really in big trouble!"

Jin naturally didn't dare to talk nonsense in front of Hashirama Senju, and just smiled awkwardly. Compared to the unserious Hashirama, his younger brother Tobirama was a real old-fashioned guy. If he knew about this...

"Alright, tell me, what exactly did you win from our little Tsunade?"

Hashirama Senju seemed to have thought of something, and slapped the table, laughing heartily. "If it's Tsunade's heart, then you can take it..."

Hearing this, Jin couldn't help but purse his lips: What is this guy talking about? The First Hokage's personality is indeed as rumored. How to put it? A bit unserious?

  "It's enrollment!"

Tsunade interrupted her grandfather's malicious joke, her face flushed. "He wants to enter great-grandfather's ninja academy to learn ninjutsu!"
