Chapter 33 - Chapter Thirty-Three: Kakashi in the Thunderstorm

 "Lightning Blade Scroll!"

"Use this scroll to master the S-rank ninjutsu—Lightning Blade!"

The simple description was breathtaking! A mere beginner's treasure chest contained an S-rank ninjutsu!

  "Learn!"

Jin took out the scroll and chose to learn it without hesitation.

The next second, Jin's mind suddenly shifted to a thunderstorm…

  "Boom!"

Lightning flashed and thunder roared, as if the world was being torn in two by this earth-shattering lightning.

But amidst the continuous downpour, Jin discovered a small figure standing in the wind and rain…

  "Kakashi!"

His dazzling silver-white hair shone like lightning in the darkness.

It was Kakashi in his youth! What was he doing here?

Jin's eyes widened in disbelief; it was as if he were watching a movie that was incredibly realistic. He could even clearly feel the dampness of the rain and the fury of the thunder.

A strong wind blew, causing Kakashi's silver-white hair to sway gently...

  "Zzzzz~~"

Pale blue lightning crackled, and Kakashi's hands hung down, a dazzling ball of blue lightning suddenly igniting in his palms!

The next second, Kakashi transformed into lightning, shooting straight into the sky like a bolt of lightning!

The dazzling blue lightning soared into the sky, like a lightning bolt rising against the heavens!

Just then, a huge bolt of pure white lightning crashed down from the sky.

Jin held his breath in tension, time seemed to slow down...

But in the end, the pure white lightning and the violent blue lightning still collided fiercely in the dark, rainy night!

  "Boom!"

The huge explosion silenced the entire world.

The sky trembled as a massive, pure white lightning bolt abruptly split in two, transforming into two smaller white bolts that struck the ground…

  "It cut through!"

"It actually cut through the lightning!"

Jin trembled uncontrollably. "Kakashi, it cut through the lightning!"

At that moment, the blue lightning that had cut through the lightning continued its relentless advance, only stopping slowly after piercing through hundreds of giant trees…

  "This is the Lightning Blade!"

Once Jin understood this, everything before him began to slowly fade away. Only when the streak of silver-white hair disappeared from his sight did Jin slowly regain his senses.

This scroll had actually allowed him to witness the birth of the Lightning Blade!

  "Ox-Rabbit-Monkey!"

Subconsciously forming hand seals, pale blue lightning began to appear in Jin's palm…

  "Zzzzz~~"

Even inside the pottery jar, Jin instinctively pushed his palm forward: "Lightning Blade!"

The entire sequence of movements flowed smoothly, as if born…

The pale blue lightning slowly gathered in Jin's palm, forming a deep blue blade. However, when the blade was halfway formed, an uncontrollable weariness and emptiness suddenly surged into his heart.

  Chakra, exhausted!

The chakra shortage caused the deep blue blade to tremble unstablely!

However, Jin could only stare blankly at the half-finished Lightning Blade…

Finally, the half-finished Lightning Blade exploded, transforming into hundreds of sharp, tiny electric currents, emitting a piercing shriek…

Hundreds of electric currents, like blooming silver bouquets, pierced through everything!

Jin couldn't help but gape: "Chidori?"

There's always been a saying that Chidori is a weakened version of Lightning Blade. Because Sasuke's research on the Lightning Blade wasn't deep enough, the Lightning Blade's sound was soft while the Chidori's sound was loud, meaning the Chidori's energy wasn't concentrated, and the chakra wasn't compressed enough.

However, for Jin, it was the opposite. Because of the system, Jin's understanding of the Lightning Blade was no less than Kakashi's.

But the extremely scarce chakra hampered the completion of the Lightning Blade, causing the half-finished Lightning Blade to mutate into an uncontrollable Chidori!

It was lucky he wasn't killed...

Realizing this too late, Jin broke out in a cold sweat. Now he understood why the beginner treasure chest could yield an S-rank ninjutsu!

This scroll was different from the shuriken throws rewarded by the system; the scroll only taught you how to use the ninjutsu, but didn't care if you had the chakra and ability to release it!

  "This is really a rip-off..."

Jin muttered to himself. Fortunately, it was the Lightning Blade, at least he could release it as Chidori.

If it had been a rip-off like the Wind Release: Rasenshuriken, Jin would probably be dead...
