Chapter 1 - The auditions 1

Jemma walked into the hall and all eyes fell on her. She looked radiant in her magenta tight fitted top that extenuated her chest, paired with a flowy umbrella denim mini-skirt that fell to just under her bottom. On her feet, a pair of pink 7 inch wedges to match her top. With the sun reflecting off her golden caramel skin, she seemed like she was glowing as she stood in the door way of the hall, unsure of where to go, yet majestic in her composure. This world had long forgotten what true royalty looked like - it was no wonder they all stared at her silently, even the music had stopped.

She spotted a lady who looked approachable, and glided her way there, never losing her composure. The lady was beautiful, the most beautiful of the ladies in the hall. She wore a black v-neck top that hugged her chest properly and a pair of jeans that showed off her heavenly made figure. Curvy in all the right places, but still with a petite kind of feel. Skin flowing like melted chocolate and eyes like pools of honey with every ray of stray sunlight that hit them, adorned with naturally long curly lashes. She smiled gently at Jemma and reached out her arm indicating for Jemma to go to her. This lady looked like a goddess, even Jemma had to admit it.

Jemma: "Hello, how are you?"

Patty: "Hello, I'm Patricia, you can call me Patty. I'm doing wonderful, how are you?"

Jemma: "I'm well thank you. I'm Jemma. I heard there's some auditions going on here. I would like to audition for modelling and dancing if that's alright."

Patty: "Of course! Allow me to give you a little more information about our foundation before you proceed?"

Jemma: "That would be wonderful. I'd feel more comfortable too."

Patty: "Excellent! Well, we are a new foundation known as 'Project Encore'. Our aim is to remove as many youngsters from the streets as possible and put them in an environment where they can be productive. We hope this will help reduce gangs, violence, and all other kinds of crimes perpetrated by teens by allowing them to hone their talents and find them opportunities to share their talents with the world and maybe even start a career."

Jemma: "That's a really good initiative. Unfortunately, I don't live in this town. I'm only here for the holidays. I'm afraid my membership with you would not breed much result as I'll be leaving in a few weeks and I might not be back for a long time."

Patty: "That is not a problem at all. We are looking to extend our foundation to other towns as well, and when that time comes, you'll be an excellent ambassador."

Jemma: "In that case, let's do it!"

Patty smiled at Jemma who was brimming with a smile and handed her a form for her to fill in her details and preferences. After which she directed her to the stage where she would wait for her performance. Jemma walked, all eyes still on her. The music had resumed and she had an egoistic step in her walk, following the beat of the music as she made her way to where she had been directed. That's when she locked eyes with him.
