Chapter 3 - Chapter 3: Parting on Bad Terms, Fugaku's Little Scheme!

At the clan meeting.

As Uchiha Jin spoke, everyone present was stunned.

No one expected Uchiha Jin to deny it.

Although there was no evidence, such matters don't require evidence. Besides your Radical Faction, who else would do this?

The single-minded Uchiha didn't know how to refute.

They advocated for fighting and killing; word games weren't their strong suit!

Shisui couldn't hold back, his face full of indignation: "Uchiha Jin, do you dare to do it but not admit it?"

"If I did it, of course I'd admit it, but the problem is I didn't!" Uchiha Jin shrugged: "Why should I admit to something I didn't do? Do you want to extort a confession through torture?"

"How about—I make an oath?"

"If this matter was done by my Radical Faction, then may the Six Paths Sage strike me down with lightning!"

Silence fell over the clan meeting.

No one expected Uchiha Jin to be so unyielding, even making an oath directly, which completely stumped everyone.

What to do?

The Moderate Faction and the Moderate Faction were completely dumbfounded for a moment.

Everyone had previously thought the Radical Faction would surely admit it, at most just refusing to hand over the people.

So they had discussed for a long time how to make the Radical Faction hand over the people, but they never expected it wouldn't even get to that point; the other party simply outright denied it... Damn it, they were stuck!

What now?

In fact, let alone the Moderate Faction and the Moderate Faction, even the Radical Faction's own people were dumbfounded.

Good heavens, how shameless!

The corners of the Radical Faction members' mouths twitched; they almost couldn't control their expressions.

Uchiha Jin shrugged: "Everyone saw it, right? The Six Paths Sage didn't strike me down, proving that I didn't lie!"

A sneer appeared at the corner of his mouth; he didn't put the people in front of him in his eyes at all.

Are you kidding me?!

With these fools who could be easily fooled by Hiruzen Sarutobi, he, who had received over a decade of education in his previous life, would be better off just finding a block of tofu to smash his head against if he couldn't even outwit the likes of Fugaku and Shisui.

Not being able to defeat them in combat is understandable.

But if he couldn't even win a war of words against these simple-minded Uchiha, then he would truly be disgracing the army of transmigrators!

As for making an oath, Uchiha Jin wasn't afraid.

Although there really was a Six Paths Sage in this world, he was far from a true deity, at most just a powerful alien.

After all, there was no Heavenly Dao in this world!

"Jin, you..."

Shisui tried to refute, but he couldn't utter a single word.

No choice!

Facing the shameless Uchiha Jin, a pure person like him was completely at a loss.

Fugaku, as the clan head, couldn't sit still and immediately stood up, looking sternly at Uchiha Jin.

"Jin, stop this."

"I know the clan members have suffered a lot of grievances, but Shisui and I are really trying."

"Give me some time, okay?"

Fugaku's words carried a hint of plea; he was clearly preparing to play the emotional card.

Moreover... in his gaze towards Uchiha Jin, a hint of killing intent truly began to flicker!

He, of course, knew that the clan members suffered great grievances in the Village, but he also knew even more clearly that the Uchiha Clan was no match for the Village, which was why he had painstakingly tried to maintain the peace all these years.

But he couldn't understand why the clan members didn't understand?

Just endure a little, give in a little, and wait until the clan members completely integrate into the Village!

He had already found it hard to suppress the Radical Faction before, but now with Uchiha Jin's rise, he felt an even heavier pressure.

An disobedient genius is worse than having none at all!

Meanwhile, on the other side.

Uchiha Jin's expression remained calm despite Fugaku's slightly pleading words.

"I'm very sorry, Clan Head-sama!"

"I sympathize with the plight of Root and Anbu, but if you want to pin the blame on me, then I suggest you find evidence first."

"If there's nothing else, then I'll take my leave."

After speaking.

He couldn't be bothered to continue dealing with Fugaku and headed directly out of Naka Shrine.

Explain?

There was no need!

He wasn't even interested in winning over other Uchiha factions, because he knew that prejudice in people's hearts was a great mountain, and unless the Uchiha underwent a complete overhaul and enough people died, there was only a slim possibility.

For the Uchiha to be reborn, they needed to be tempered by blood and fire!

But, no rush.

He knew this opportunity was now fast approaching.

As Uchiha Jin left, all the other Radical Faction Uchiha also chose to follow in his footsteps and depart.

Clearly.

The current clan head, Uchiha Fugaku, had long lost his prestige in their hearts!

"Jin, you..."

Shisui still wanted to speak and stop them, but he was held back by Fugaku.

"Shisui, that's enough!"

"Let them leave, forcing them to stay is meaningless."

"Can you tell me about the situation at the battle scene? Did the Village really find no clues at all?"

Fugaku was very puzzled by this.

Because if there was evidence for this matter, it would actually be easier to handle.

And, in response.

Shisui seemed a bit hesitant; after all, Anbu had rules against casually leaking intelligence.

But considering the complexity of the case, he still shook his head helplessly: "The scene was completely destroyed, and the bodies were burned to ashes, so no clues could be found at all."

"But I can confirm that this matter was definitely done by the Radical Faction, and Uchiha Jin is absolutely the mastermind!"

Fugaku's face was filled with bitterness, as such a thing didn't even need to be said; everyone knew who the culprit was.

After all... before Uchiha Jin rose to power, the Radical Faction, though somewhat fanatical, dared not actually act against the Village.

At most, they just engaged in verbal sparring!

It was only since Uchiha Jin's rise that things became uncontrollable.

As soon as an Uchiha went missing, a few Root and Anbu members would die shortly after!

How could Fugaku, as the clan head, not understand such an obvious matter?

But, it was useless!

Arresting people required evidence, especially for someone of Uchiha Jin's stature.

After a long deliberation, he slowly spoke: "I can't help with this matter. Shisui, you should report it truthfully to Hokage-sama."

"This..." Shisui was helpless, shaking his head bitterly: "That's all we can do."

After speaking.

He instantly disappeared from Naka Shrine.

After Shisui left, Fugaku announced the disbandment and returned home.

Yes!

It ended just like that!

Neither of them had thought of seeking justice for the frequently disappearing Uchiha.

This was also why Fugaku's credibility as clan head was increasingly tarnished.

Mikoto brought him a bowl of tea, then couldn't help but ask: "Is the matter resolved? Did the Radical Faction back down?"

"No, it's more complicated," Fugaku shook his head: "Uchiha Jin has risen to power!"

"The Radical Faction will be even harder to deal with from now on, after all, they have a Mangekyo."

Mikoto became interested: "Then how will you explain it to the Village?"

Fugaku pondered for a moment upon hearing this.

"There's nothing to explain; we just won't interfere."

"Let Hiruzen Sarutobi and Uchiha Jin fight it out. It will also let me see the Village's attitude towards the Uchiha."

"If things become impossible, we'll sacrifice Uchiha Jin. If the Village chooses to back down, all the better. Either way, it won't affect us!"

Upon hearing these words, Mikoto finally understood completely.

It turned out her husband was using Uchiha Jin as a pawn to test the Village.

Although she wanted to try and persuade him, she ultimately chose to remain silent.

Although Uchiha Jin was a clan member, he wasn't as close to Fugaku and her.

But... neither of them noticed a small figure hidden outside the tea room.

Uchiha Itachi!

After hearing their conversation, he couldn't help but clench his fists in anger.

'Clan, clan!'

'Why can't you consider things from the Village's perspective?'

'What a foolish clan!'
