Chapter 7 - The World of JOJO

Borsalino had already braced himself for some kind of dramatic disturbance when crossing worlds.

What he didn't expect was that the moment he accepted the invitation, his vision blurred—and in the next instant, he was already standing in another world.

The surroundings looked like a hotel room. Having full knowledge of the plot—and of DIO's abilities—Kujo Jotaro appeared noticeably calmer before the final battle.

"Nice to meet you, Mr. Borsalino?"

The young man who had suddenly appeared drew almost no visible reaction from Jotaro.

Yet with his top-tier Observation Haki, Borsalino could clearly sense that Jotaro's nerves had relaxed considerably.

Even if one knew every detail about the enemy in advance, facing a monster like DIO still warranted absolute caution.

"Yo, Jotaro. So this is Egypt, huh?"

Borsalino glanced out the window at the exotic scenery. For some reason, his mind wandered to whether this world also had a Domino City. If some Pharaoh King wielding three god cards suddenly jumped out mid-fight, that would be way too absurd.

"Yeah. We've already located DIO's residence. Next step—destroy DIO."

Even when speaking of the enemy he hated most, Jotaro's expression didn't change.

Just then, a knock sounded at the door. Borsalino's eyebrow twitched—he already knew who it was.

"We're ready to move, Jotaro."

The man who entered wore a cowboy hat. It was Jotaro's grandfather—Joseph Joestar.

Stand: Hermit Purple.

Aside from an A in durability, its stats were painfully low.

As everyone knew, there were no weak Stands—only the invincible Star Platinum, and the utterly useless Hermit Purple.

"And this gentleman is…?"

Joseph quickly noticed Borsalino. Jotaro had mentioned introducing a helper, but the man in a floral shirt and beach shorts looked far more like a passing tourist.

"Borsalino. A partner of justice."

Before Jotaro could explain, Borsalino chuckled and introduced himself.

"Jotaro?"

Joseph frowned.

Their target was DIO—a genuine monster. Jotaro shouldn't be dragging unrelated civilians into this fight.

Maybe this young man in beach shorts was strong, but no matter how strong a human was, in front of a monster, he'd still just be another casualty.

"Don't worry, Grandpa. Mr. Borsalino is very strong."

Jotaro offered no further explanation. Once his grandfather witnessed Borsalino's strength firsthand, he'd understand.

"Joseph, what's going on?"

A man with a haircut resembling a barrel appeared at the door—Jean Pierre Polnareff. At that point, Joseph could hardly continue the standoff.

For now, he tacitly accepted Borsalino's addition to the team opposing DIO.

Soon, Borsalino met Jotaro's companions.

There was the curly-haired, dark-skinned gentleman Muhammad Avdol, whose Stand Magician's Red wielded flames.

Noriaki Kakyoin, who had tested DIO's time-stopping ability with his own life—Stand Hierophant Green, whose abilities were oddly reminiscent of the Gum-Gum Fruit.

And then there was a dog named Iggy—Stand The Fool, capable of manipulating sand to reshape itself and attack. One could loosely describe it as a Sand-Sand Fruit without intangibility.

Lastly, there was the man with the bizarre hairstyle, Jean Pierre Polnareff, whose Stand Silver Chariot took the form of a rapier-wielding knight. It possessed outstanding speed and precision, capable of slicing through the air itself.

Likewise, Jotaro's companions gained a preliminary understanding of this mysterious Mr. Borsalino—someone whose name was known, but whose abilities and background remained completely unknown.

That mystery didn't last long.

Before long, Borsalino earned the full trust of everyone present—including Joseph—after he casually rattled off details to the point where he was practically revealing the color of DIO's underwear.

Since explaining the source of that intelligence would be far too troublesome, Jotaro simply asked Borsalino to fully disclose all known information about DIO and his subordinates' Stand abilities.

"Even DIO's subordinates have stood this terrifying…"

Polnareff swallowed hard. Without Borsalino's warnings, if they had charged straight into DIO's lair, they might not have even reached DIO before being wiped out.

"DIO's underlings can be dealt with. The real problem is DIO's Stand—stopping time is simply unfair."

Cold sweat trickled down Avdol's face. He couldn't imagine how one was supposed to defeat an enemy who could halt time itself.

Joseph shook his head.

In his eyes, the truly terrifying one wasn't DIO—but Borsalino, who knew DIO and his followers inside and out.

No matter how powerful an ability was, it always had a way to be countered. But someone who could uncover the enemy's powers before the battle even began—that was truly frightening.

And yet, Joseph couldn't figure out how Mr. Borsalino had done it. There was no sense of a Stand user about him at all.

"Vampires are weak to sunlight. So why are we acting at night?"

Polnareff looked up at the sky. The moon hung high—it was deep into the night. Even accounting for resistance from DIO's subordinates, by the time they reached DIO, it would likely only be near dawn.

Even if they defeated him, they wouldn't be able to rely on sunlight to finish him off.

"Trust me."

Jotaro replied succinctly.

He knew full well how disadvantageous night operations were.

But on one hand, Borsalino was there—there was no need to worry about being unable to destroy DIO after defeating him.

On the other hand, Jotaro had his own concerns.

If they reached DIO too smoothly, that cunning bastard might choose to flee instead.

Kakyoin exchanged a glance with Joseph and raised no objections to Jotaro's decision.

Compared to storming into DIO's lair completely in the dark, thoroughly understanding the enemy beforehand was already the best possible outcome.

Soon enough, DIO's mansion came into view.

It had been a long time since Borsalino last experienced something like this—an adventure party pushing through a dungeon to face the final boss.

With his level of strength, even confronting an enemy like the Whitebeard Pirates, he could march straight through the front gate and still guarantee a safe retreat.
