Chapter 22 - Getting Strong While Lying Down

Seeing that Random Passerby—the same guy who had just dismissed her as completely worthless—was now endlessly hyping up Borsalino, Hellish Blizzard immediately felt displeased.

If not for the fact that the dimensional chat group prevented her from even seeing what the other party looked like, she definitely wouldn't have let this slide so easily.

[Fubuki: He's really that strong?]

[Random Passerby Who Wants to Hug Luo Feng's Thigh: Huh? You mean the Yellow Monkey boss? Let me put it this way—if Boss were in the One Punch Man world… uh, your world, he'd absolutely be S-Class. Either first or second place.]

[Random Passerby: Aside from that bald guy and Blast—whose depth even I can't figure out—there shouldn't be anyone in the Hero Association stronger than Boss.]

[Fubuki: What nonsense are you talking about?! Do you even know how strong S-Class heroes are?!]

[Random Passerby: I do. And I also know your sister is the S-Class Rank 2—Tornado of Terror. But compared to the Yellow Monkey boss, she's still way behind.]

[Kobayashi: Fubuki-san, don't be angry. That's just how Passerby talks—he doesn't mean any harm.]

[Haibara Ai: Older sister is S-Class, younger sister is B-Class? Heh… how interesting.]

[Random Passerby: It's not that bad. If she wanted to, she could easily be among the top of A-Class. She just prefers staying in B-Class as number one.]

In the One Punch Man world, Fubuki's expression darkened by the second.

The members of the Blizzard Group swallowed nervously.

Judging by this atmosphere, it definitely wasn't just about buying cheap goods again.

Could it be that some B-Class rookie had rejected their leader's invitation?

"Borsalino, was it… I'll remember that name."

Fubuki snorted softly. She was determined to see for herself just what kind of person this Borsalino—praised to the heavens by that passerby—really was.

This dimensional chat group seemed to allow members to travel between worlds.

Once she figured out how it worked, she'd pull Borsalino over here personally.

And if it turned out his strength wasn't as ridiculous as claimed, she'd mock those annoying people mercilessly—especially that sharp-tongued Haibara Ai. Just thinking about it made her mad.

Back in the One Piece world, the completely oblivious Borsalino was leisurely basking in the sunlight.

Sunbathing while slacking off had always felt nice—but how could that compare to lying there and visibly feeling his strength increase?

Especially his greatest weaknesses: physical constitution and martial prowess.

These were attributes that normally required years of relentless training to improve.

Yet after just a single morning under the sun, the gains already rivaled several months of hard practice.

The only thing that couldn't be improved through sunbathing was combat experience—but for someone like Borsalino, who had clawed his way to the top of the pirate world over decades, that was the one thing he'd never lack.

"This… this is what life is supposed to be."

Borsalino stretched lazily, his bones and muscles crackling softly.

Getting stronger while lying down felt way too good.

"Darling~"

Just as Borsalino was savoring his "training," Hancock—dressed in a cheongsam—turned into a fragrant breeze and threw herself into his arms.

Last night's passion had only barely eased her longing. With her mind filled entirely by the man she loved, Hancock wished she could just turn herself into his personal accessory.

"Up so early? What, didn't I satisfy you enough last night? Hmm?"

Borsalino teased with a grin.

He might not be a muscle monster like Kaido, and his physique might be his weakest attribute—but a top-tier powerhouse's "weakness" was still absurdly strong by normal standards.

Only someone like Hancock, a Warlord of the Sea, could truly keep up with him.

If it were Nami instead, whether she could even get out of bed the next day would be questionable.

"Mm~ darling, tonight, okay? I really haven't recovered yet…"

Hancock bit her lower lip as she pleaded softly, her beautiful eyes fixed on Borsalino, so alluring they nearly dripped with charm.

"Heh, I'll let you off for now—but tonight…"

Borsalino leaned in and whispered against her ear.

Whether Hancock was truly the world's most beautiful woman was debatable—but so far, Borsalino hadn't met anyone more intoxicating than her.

"Borsalino-sama, Hancock-sama—the national warrior assessment is about to begin…"

Just as Hancock, cheeks flushed, was about to speak again, several maids hesitated at the balcony entrance. After pushing each other back and forth, one particularly timid-looking girl was finally shoved forward to report nervously.

In front of Borsalino, Hancock behaved like a docile cat—but ordinarily, she was anything but gentle. The title Pirate Empress wasn't earned by strength alone.

If not for fear that delaying the report would be even worse, the maids might have kept pushing the responsibility onto each other indefinitely.

"Oh? How many national warriors does Amazon Lily have right now?"

Before Hancock could explode, Borsalino asked curiously.

Even on Amazon Lily—where nearly everyone could use Armament Haki—national warriors were elite among elites.

At minimum, they were comparable to ordinary Marine Headquarters lieutenant commanders.

The strongest among them could even rival HQ rear admirals.

That said, there wouldn't be many such elites. Without Borsalino's support—providing resources and guidance after effectively taking control of Amazon Lily—the number of national warriors in the Kuja Pirates would've been far lower.

"National warriors… one hundred and thirty-seven in total. Most of them are newcomers who passed the assessment in recent years."

Hancock tilted her head slightly as she thought. As captain of the Kuja Pirates, she might not remember every individual, but she wouldn't forget how many subordinates she had.

Still, to Hancock, the Kuja Pirates were nowhere near as important as Borsalino himself.

If she could, she wouldn't hesitate to trade all of Amazon Lily just to switch places with Nami and become Borsalino's adjutant.

"That's too few. I remember the Kuja Pirates only had around six hundred people to begin with."

Borsalino shook his head. Amazon Lily's population had always been a fundamental problem—natural growth was nearly impossible.

Especially after Borsalino forbade the Kuja from raiding civilians, the only remaining ways to increase population were attacking slave ships or taking in abandoned infants.

Although, with Borsalino's backing, Amazon Lily had established orphanages in many nations and towns to take in abandoned baby girls—the oldest of them were still several years away from adulthood.

Progress was steady… but the road ahead was long.
