Chapter 118 - Ch. 118: Milim Tales: Eurazania Invaded!

(Risa POV)

"MILIIIM!"

WHEEEE!"

Exactly four days after the Walpurgis ended, in a small temporary office that'd been built on the site of Eurazania's former Royal Palace, Milim was quietly dying while Frey gave pointers and shuttled paperwork.

Then, all of a sudden, a spatial rift opened directly above the twin-tailed girl's head, and three Demon-Lord (or at least Seed) level beings rained down from the sky.

Milim's reaction was swift and decisive.

"RIISA! SAVE ME!" She hugged the physically-largest of the three Demon-Lord-Level beings so hard that her chest cavity flattened. If there'd been ribs there, many of them would have broken.

"There, there. There there." I soothed the desperate Demon Lord with pats to the back as we hugged.

"Patty patty pat pat!" The young girl in the purple dress who was riding my shoulders mimicked me, trying to help as best she could by patting Milim's head.

With an accidentally gravity-enhanced pat that probably had more force to it than the average sledgehammer blow. Not that it caused Milim any discomfort at all.

"..." Frey looked on in exasperation.

A few seconds later, the door to Milim's office burst open, and Carillon rushed through, sensing the disturbance from the Spatial Motion a few seconds after the fact, due to the sheer perfection of my spatial magic."Milim, I sensed-!"

He was greeted by the sight of Milim spinning a purple-dressed little girl in the air, burying her nose in the girl's belly while the girl giggled, a small, blonde-furred three-tailed fox nipped at her ankles in annoyance.

"SOO CUTE!"

Carillon quietly closed the door behind him, realizing just how stupid it'd been for him to even consider believing someone was dumb enough to attack Milim in the first place.

"Lady Risa, as I'm sure you've been made aware, Lady Milim will be rather busy over the next few weeks. I am afraid that visits like these are something that she doesn't really have time for at the moment."

"...weeeeeeeeekkkssssss…?" Milim made a sound like a dying seal, just imagining doing paperwork like that for weeks on end.

She was the Demon Lord of Absurdity, strong enough that the only time she'd actually used her entire full power in battle was back when she'd originally awakened her Demon Lord Seed, and it'd ended with the creation of the Barren Lands.

But now, she could feel it in her gut. Milim knew she wasn't anywhere near strong enough to survive multiple weeks of administrative duties like these. She'd die of boredom long before that.

But, luckily, I had a genius plan to save her from that fate! "Oh, I know. Big Bro Rimuru sent me to design the new royal palace for you guys. Obviously, that means that I'll need Milim's input, right?" Naturally, Rimuru did not know that I was here, but that didn't particularly matter. Even if Frey realized that I was just using Big Bro's name, it wouldn't change the fact that, as the Lord of Curiosity, I was a god-tier architect.

As long as my offer to design the new Royal Palace was genuine, it wasn't something that they could dismiss, even if it meant delaying Milim's work a bit.

"Yeah, yeah! I need to help Risa design our new palace! That's right!" Milim hopped happily in place, looking at Frey for permission.

Unfortunately, I'd overlooked something rather important. "Yes, I suppose you do… At a later date. Unfortunately, we are still internally discussing the zoning. Milim, these documents here still require your approval."

"Iunwanna." Milim's expression took a 'dead fish' turn.

The little girl I'd brought with me, Chia, picked up her 3/9 Tailed fox pet in her arms and patted Milim's head comfortingly. "Sorry, miss."

"...Thank you." Milim replied, hugging Chis to her chest one last time, before we were shooed out of Milim's office.

Three Hours Later

BOOOM!

A massive ball of pure magisteel exploded through the atmosphere so fast that it literally broke the sound barrier, before slamming into a barren section of land with enough force to send dust into the air, creating a massive crater.

"I got it!" A massive fox with golden fur raced across the landscape, casually pushing the giant magisteel meteor out of the crater with its nose before rolling it back nearly half a mile to the little girl in the purple dress.

The bald guy standing beside Chia, Middray, who'd been tasked with babysitting duty when Chia had pulled the giant magisteel ball out and declared that she wanted to play 'fetch' with the 3/9 tailed fox, stopped the rolling death ball with one hand.

"Good girl! Okay, Mister Watermelon! Ready?" At first, Middray had been rather annoyed at being called Mister Watermelon. Then, when he overheard Chia call Frey Missus Boobie, he had a moment of enlightenment, realizing that there were worse nicknames.

"And Fire!"

BOOOM!

Chia lowered the magisteel's gravity, and Middray kicked it as hard as he could.

Or, at least, that's what he wanted Chia to think. In actuality, he simply gave it a feather tap with his toe, and the little girl's gravity magic skill did the real work. Middray's actual EP was 2.5 million, Divine-level, putting him on par with around half of the Octogram. If he'd kicked that ball with his actual full power and Chia's gravity-powered aid, not only would the magisteel be gone, but the surrounding dozen or so kilometers would instantly craterize from the force of the kick itself.

And if anything at all actually ended up remaining of the magisteel ball, it'd be in space, so the 3/9 tail wouldn't exactly be able to fetch it.

It's worth it to mention that Middray was actually in charge of two things at present. Not only was he babysitting Chia because nobody else could keep her from destroying all of the temporary buildings that Geld and his crew had managed to erect over the last few days, but he was also currently training Gabil and his men.

So, Gabil and his men were flying in the air above the 'fetching' range. Every time he kicked the giant ball of magisteel, it flew through the air, narrowly missing a member of Team Hiryuu, who was usually still knocked out of the sky by the following sonic boom.
