Chapter 69 - Chapter 69. The second year of tenshō, Kasuga Castle

Before long.

Led by Ohara Nanako, Kobayashi Itsuki arrived at the Nohara Family Home.

"Sister Misae." Ohara Nanako knocked on the door.

Soon after, the haggard-looking Nohara Misae rushed over and opened the door.

Seeing Nanako, Nohara Misae anxiously asked.

"Nanako, did you find any news of Shin-chan?"

Ohara Nanako shook her head, "I just searched around outside, but I didn't find any trace of Shin-chan..."

Hearing this, Nohara Misae's eyes were filled with uncontrollable disappointment.

"But, I told Teacher Kobayashi about Shin-chan's situation..." Before Ohara Nanako could finish, Kobayashi Itsuki stepped forward and offered, "Mrs. Nohara, please tell me exactly what happened. I have a friend who is a police officer, and she might be able to help."

Kobayashi Itsuki's words injected new hope into Nohara Misae.

"Thank you, Teacher Kobayashi, thank you."

"Please come in quickly, I'll pour you some tea."

The two entered the house together.

The interior was messy, with signs that many areas had been searched.

In the entryway, a scruffy middle-aged man in a wrinkled suit, unable to hide the exhaustion on his face, was on the phone, seemingly asking about something.

"Honey, how is it? Any news?" Nohara Hiroshi turned around dejectedly and shook his head.

"I've asked all the Kindergarten teachers too; nobody saw Shin-chan."

"Nanako, you are..."

"I'm Kobayashi Itsuki, Shin-chan's Physical Education Teacher. I'm here to help."

"I'm Nohara Hiroshi. Thank you, I'm sorry to trouble you."

Nohara Hiroshi forced a smile, looking exceptionally heartbroken.

[Ding! You have met Nohara Hiroshi. Current relationship is White.]

[Congratulations, Host, you have received White Treasure Chest *1.]

"Mr. Nohara, there's no need to be polite. Please tell me what happened first; perhaps I can help."

"That's right, dear. Teacher Kobayashi's friend is a police officer, maybe he can help."

Nohara Misae said from the side. Hearing this, Nohara Hiroshi quickly pulled Kobayashi Itsuki towards the living room.

"Teacher Kobayashi, please come this way, this way. Misae, quickly make some tea."

"Ding! Nohara Hiroshi's favorability has increased, you have received green treasure chest *1."

Nohara Hiroshi, anxious for his child, had his favorability directly increase to Green within just a few words.

"No need to trouble yourself. Time is urgent, let's not worry about these things."

Kobayashi Itsuki waved his hand, indicating there was no need for such trouble.

"Then I'll make a long story short..."

According to the Nohara couple, this afternoon was no different from usual.

After Nohara Shinnosuke came home, he watched action kamen in the living room, while Nohara Misae cooked in the kitchen.

In the middle, Nohara Misae called Nohara Shinnosuke for help, but he didn't respond. She thought the child was being lazy.

However, when Nohara Hiroshi returned, they suddenly discovered that Nohara Shinnosuke was gone.

The couple immediately panicked and began searching everywhere in the house.

After searching the house, they went out to ask the neighbors and looked in the parks they usually frequented.

When they couldn't find him, they immediately called the police, but the disappearance time wasn't long enough, so a case couldn't be filed.

Having no other choice, they started making calls everywhere, asking the Kindergarten classmates' families.

Kobayashi Itsuki listened to all this with a frown, still without any clues.

He pulled out his phone and said,

"Are there any other clues? With just this little information, I'm afraid my friend won't be able to help much..."

Just as Kobayashi Itsuki was speaking, two barks suddenly sounded in the yard.

"Woof woof!"

"Woof!"

"Shiro!"

"Don't make noise."

Nohara Hiroshi pondered deeply and shouted at Shiro.

Shiro?

Hearing the famous White God, Kobayashi Itsuki subconsciously turned his head to look into the yard.

He saw Shiro scratching at the outside of the living room, barking loudly.

There was even a hint of human-like anxiety on his small dog face.

Seeing Shiro like this, Kobayashi Itsuki immediately sensed something was wrong.

Why is Shiro called the White God? Because he is not just a simple dog.

It's no exaggeration to say that Shiro's intelligence and ability

are definitely stronger than many adults.

Even if he were left alone in a different place, he could find his way home by himself, not to mention in the original work, many times when the family encountered danger, it was Shiro who stepped forward to save them from peril.

Given Shiro's intelligence, if there was nothing wrong, he would absolutely not be barking randomly in this situation.

After thinking for a moment, Kobayashi Itsuki got up, went to the glass sliding door, squatted down, and said to Shiro,

"Do you know how Shin-chan disappeared?"

Kobayashi Itsuki, knowing that Shiro couldn't be treated as just a dog, asked seriously.

Seeing that someone was finally paying attention to him, Shiro immediately became happy, wagged his tail, spun around, and ran into the yard.

Kobayashi Itsuki saw this, quickly followed, and then found a large pit in the yard.

"Woof woof!"

Shiro stood at the edge of the pit, patted it with his small paws, indicating that this was the spot.

Kobayashi Itsuki's expression was a bit strange when he saw the large pit.

"You mean, Shin-chan's disappearance is related to this pit?"

"Woof!"

Shiro nodded, looking very certain.

Seeing this, Kobayashi Itsuki finally understood how Nohara Shinnosuke had disappeared.

If he remembered correctly, this had nothing to do with other matters; it involved a theatrical version.

Kobayashi Itsuki had not expected to encounter characters from the 'Dark Pearl's Great Adventure' plot just a while ago, and now so quickly encounter another theatrical version.

"Teacher Kobayashi, I'm sorry, I'll take Shiro away now..."

At this moment, Nohara Misae also rushed out, apologizing repeatedly.

However, Shiro ignored Nohara Misae's actions, struggled, and then jumped into the pit and began digging.

Seeing this, Kobayashi Itsuki seemed to recall something and quickly joined Shiro in digging up the soil.

While Nohara Misae and Nohara Hiroshi, who had come over upon hearing the commotion, along with Ohara Nanako, were at a loss,

a simple black wooden box was dug out of the pit by the man and the dog.

"This is..."

The three of them stared at the wooden box in Kobayashi Itsuki's hand, stunned.

Kobayashi Itsuki was also a bit surprised, not expecting the wooden box to still be in the pit.

In the original work, Shin-chan and Shiro had dug out this wooden box at the very beginning.

Now it seems that perhaps due to his intervention, many things have changed differently.

"Let's go."

Kobayashi Itsuki didn't say much more, returned to the living room, and opened the wooden box.

Inside lay a letter with very childish handwriting, and next to it was a cartoon character with a pig's head and human body.

{"Mom and Dad."

"I am currently in the second year of tenshō. The princess here is a great beauty. Kasuga Castle is very far away; it's best to drive there."

"Also, be sure to call Teacher Kobayashi! He's needed here as a Martial Artist!"}
