Chapter 13 - Chapter 12. Servants Of The Myth?

Two hundred and fifty miles away

A deep, menacing growl

erupted from the depths of a colossal abyss,

its sound so heavy it rippled through the world itself.

The ground convulsed.

The air shattered.

Violent tremors rolled

outward like invisible waves of destruction.

From the darkness

FOUR GIANT EELS BURST FORTH.

Each one stopped a hundred meters

from the abyss, their massive bodies coiling

in the air like living calamities.

Two hundred feet long.

Three hundred tons each.

Their scales glistened like obsidian steel,

eyes glowing with predatory awareness.

Then

Another presence arrived.

A fraction of seconds later,

the sea of darkness split apart once more.

This one was different.

Four hundred feet long.

Five hundred tons of pure annihilation.

Its body burned CRIMSON RED,

veins glowing like molten lightning beneath

its scales.

It descended slowly…

Then lowered its massive head

toward the abyss.

"Master?"

The word alone carried reverence and fear.

From the abyss, a voice answered.

Deep.

Ancient.

Overwhelming.

A voice that did not belong to the world above.

"GO.

FIND OUT WHERE THAT ENERGY CAME FROM.

AND BRING IT TO ME."

The command echoed endlessly,

quaking its surroundings.

"Yes, Master."

The crimson eel lifted its head.

With a single nod

THEY LAUNCHED.

The four giant eels rocketed away in an instant.

Sonic booms detonating behind them,

each movement faster

than the blink of an eye

faster than a microsecond.

But the crimson one

Its body began to crackle with static electricity.

sparks dancing violently along its scales.

It grinned.

Revealing rows of razor-sharp teeth,

eyes burning with savage anticipation.

Then

INSTANTLY.

THUNDER CLAP! SONIC BOOM!

The sound obliterated the air itself.

And the crimson eel

VANISHED.

Moving at a speed beyond comprehension.

As fast as a nanosecond.

Leaving nothing behind…

But silence.
