Chapter 85 - Chapter 85: Kazahana Dotō, Dead!

Chapter 85: Kazahana Dotō, Dead!

Right at that moment!

Whoosh! Whoosh! Whoosh!

Several figures shot out like ghosts from the shadows of the blasted tunnel ruins behind Kazahana Dotō.

They wore regulation-issue Snow Ninja Chakra Armor—plain models, clearly the tyrant's personal elite guard.

Icy plates caught the tunnel's dim light, radiating killing intent.

Seeing reinforcements arrive, Kazahana Dotō—his fury at Naruto's revelation—found release. From beneath his helm came a cruel order as he jabbed a finger at Kakashi and Naruto.

"Perfect timing—kill them!"

"Naruto."

Kakashi's voice rang with absolute trust.

"Kazahana Dotō is mine."

The kubikiribōchō lifted, its tip locking on the armored figure atop the rubble, battle intent flaring.

Without looking back, he snapped, "Leave the rest of these Snow Ninja to you!"

Kakashi's trust wasn't blind.

He knew Naruto had mastered the Multiple Shadow Clone Jutsu.

Against superior numbers, Naruto's human-wave of clones was the perfect tool to sweep mooks, split the battlefield, and create local advantage.

Fighting Snow Ninja was Naruto's comfort zone.

Counter a horde with an even bigger horde.

Elsewhere—

Sakura and Sasuke, allied with Sandaifu and his resistance, had just wiped out a pursuing squad of Snow Ninja.

Gun-smoke and cold lingered; Snow Ninja corpses littered the ground.

Only now did they learn the loyal old minister had secretly rallied many to follow Princess Koyuki Kazahana against Kazahana Dotō's tyranny.

Yet when Sandaifu proudly introduced his "resistance army," Sakura and Sasuke froze.

These "warriors" numbered barely fifty… average age clearly over forty.

Most wore thick civilian winter coats. Eyes steeled and simple weapons gripped, but none bore professional training.

Sending such an uncle-army against chakra-armored Snow troops would be suicide—thankfully discovered early.

"Sandaifu, your loyalty to my father moves me, but this is too dangerous."

The princess too was pained by their zeal.

Without Konoha's Ninja, their charge would be pointless sacrifice.

"Serving Your Highness is our duty! We'll topple Kazahana Dotō and restore you to the throne!"

Chest puffed, Sandaifu looked as if no thanks were needed—making Yukiyuki massage her temples.

He hadn't listened at all!

Just then a clamor drew their gaze.

The Princess Gale film crew—director leading cameramen lugging bulky rigs and assistants clutching reflectors—jogged excitedly toward the tunnel.

Sakura, bewildered, stepped into their path. "Director, what are you…?"

"Director, what are you…?"

The director halted, no fear on his face—only professional fervor.

He pointed toward the distant flashes, ice shards and rumbling stone, eyes sparkling. "Listen to those blasts—look at that lighting! An epic location shoot! We're grabbing killer footage!"

"Hear the explosions—see the light effects at the mouth!"

"This is an epic live set!"

"We're going for the perfect shot!"

"..."

Sakura was struck speechless by the absurd reply.

She stared at these cinephiles chasing "stunning shots" regardless of danger—an absurd, draining sight.

These people… would die for a good frame!

She couldn't fathom such reckless "artistic pursuit."

In this lethal battlefield their first thought was… filming?

Their dedication left Sakura speechless.

"Hup!"

With a low shout Kakashi surged forward!

The kubikiribōchō tore the gloom—not slashing but driving with unstoppable force straight through Kazahana Dotō's breastplate.

Thud-slice!

A grating of metal and meat.

The titanic blade punched through the Chakra Armor's core and deep into the tyrant's chest.

The kubikiribōchō claimed his life as it exited his back.

Impact staggered him; eyes bulged beneath the helm in disbelief and agony.

Armor runes flickered like dying fireflies, then died with a sizzle.

Snow's pinnacle tech fell to raw physical destruction.

Kazahana Dotō froze, blood glugging along the great blade's fuller.

He gaped at the steel, then at Kakashi's icy gaze, gurgled, and collapsed—consciousness gone.

With Kakashi's victory, Naruto finished off the Snow Ninja.

These guys even packed Kunai Gatling guns—Land of Snow was way too modernized.

Shadow Clones popped in white smoke, leaving Naruto alone amid fallen foes, eyes still bright and sharp.

He'd cleanly wiped out every Snow Ninja reinforcement Kazahana Dotō had brought.

Tunnel blasts and battle cries faded to ragged breaths and clattering steel.

Kakashi slowly drew the kubikiribōchō from the corpse; blood spattered the cold stone as the tip lowered.

Kazahana Dotō lay curled, dead beyond doubt.

Naruto confirmed every enemy was neutralized.

The strongest military obstacle to Princess Koyuki Kazahana's restoration—

Kazahana Dotō and his elite Snow Ninja—was utterly crushed!

For now, nothing in Land of Snow could stand in their way.
