Chapter 34 - Chapter 34: Artificial Rain from the Heavens

After Jack finished his story, he returned to California first. The food there was truly indescribable, so he needed to go back and cook something for himself. This period of time was considered Jane Foster and Thor's honeymoon.

Daisy Johnson saw Jack about to leave. Looking at Jack's armor, her desire and shy little expression were written all over her face.

Jack leaned against the armor, raising an eyebrow.

Daisy stepped forward in surprise and hugged Jack without any reservation or shame. Of course, this was Jane and Dr. Erik Selvig's opinion of their unprincipled teammate.

In reality, it was indeed so. Daisy hugged Jack and acted coquettishly.

On the surface, Jack looked calm, but in his heart, he sneered. Heh, women. They act all coquettish now, but once they get me, they show their true colors—only taking and no longer bothering to act cute. Before and after getting me, they're completely different people.

They only act coquettish, and when they can't stand me anymore, they tell me to find someone else.

To experience more of these coquettish girls, Jack had no choice but to constantly seek out girls who hadn't yet been with him.

Daisy stood in front of the armor. The armor began to encase Daisy's hands, feet, back, and head. When it reached the chest plate, it almost strangled Daisy to death.

Daisy: (꒪ั ༥ ꒪ั|||)

After struggling for a moment, the armor released Daisy.

JARVIS re-scanned the armor.

Daisy stumbled away from the armor, gasping for breath, and said intermittently.

Upon hearing this, Daisy stood in front of the armor again, her face full of excitement.

JARVIS waited for Jack's approval.

JARVIS controlled the armor, carrying Daisy into the sky at a speed of only about forty meters per second.

Daisy excitedly watched herself flying, the sensation incredibly novel.

Jack: ↜(っ ิ ꇴ ิ c)

Daisy was overjoyed and said cheerfully.

Jack: (΄◞ิꇴ◟ิ)

Daisy answered without hesitation.

Jane: (ノ)´-﹏-) I can't hear, I can't hear. What kind of terrible lines are these?

Dr. Selvig: (•́﹏•̀ ٥)... This isn't my intern. Whoever she is, come take her away. She's corrupting public morals.

Jack said to JARVIS.

He said this after shielding Daisy. After speaking, Jack showed an extremely pure smile. Let's have some extremely pure smiles in the comment section.

At this moment, Daisy looked at herself falling and cheered joyfully.

However, she soon realized something was wrong. She found that her hands could move on their own; earlier, they had been completely immobile, with the armor carrying her as she flew.

Daisy asked during the conversation, but received no response.

Actually, Jack wanted to answer. For example: Daisy, I'm sorry, the armor's battery is low. You only have thirty seconds to activate the backup power.

Jack really wanted to say something like that, but he couldn't do it now. Watching Daisy's calm expression on the screen gradually turn terrified, he could barely hold back his smile.

(* ̄m ̄)

He could only bite his hand, holding back his laughter, afraid that he would expose himself if he spoke.

Jane: (≖_≖٥)

Dr. Selvig: (=ω=;)

Daisy, who had been calling out for a long time without any response, looked at the rapidly approaching ground. Tears uncontrollably flowed from her eyes, even turning light yellow from fear.

Daisy, still in the air, vaguely saw Jack and the other two watching her.

Jack even saluted, as if bidding her farewell.

Just as Daisy was terrified and about a hundred meters from hitting the ground, the armor suddenly activated, controlled Daisy's flailing limbs, and began to decelerate.

Finally, it stopped steadily not far from Jack.

Jack looked at the still-shaken Daisy with a wicked smile, about to comfort her, when he heard JARVIS's reminder.

Jack: ୧(◞ ⁼̴ ~ ⁼̴)?

The three simultaneously realized something was wrong and quickly sought cover. Jane and Dr. Selvig hid under a balcony. Jack looked left and right but found no other place to hide.

He glanced at Daisy, who had just recovered her senses, silently apologized in his heart, and directly lifted Daisy up.

Suddenly awakened, Daisy was about to go find clothes when she saw the huge sun. Thinking about being soaked by rain, she immediately connected it to what had happened in the sky.

Her expression gradually turned terrified. She struggled in midair, desperately trying to remove the armor.

Jack watched the water droplets on the ground near his feet gradually disappear, breathed a sigh of relief, and then put Daisy down.

Jane and Dr. Selvig were utterly stunned by Jack's actions.

(ʘ̆dishʘ̥̆‖)|﹏ ŏ๑ )

This was truly inhumane. She peed her pants, and you even used her to block the rain. Be a human being! At least use the back of the armor—don't be such a cut-cock bastard.

As Jack breathed a sigh of relief, his heart also tightened.

The armor actively released Daisy and then flew away. It needed to find a place to clean itself.

Freed from the armor, Daisy's trembling legs lost all strength, and she was about to collapse. Jack quickly caught her.

Holding Daisy, Jack felt a sense of unease. He looked up and saw Daisy's eyes glowing red, paired with an extremely crazed smile.

Daisy rubbed her face and body all over Jack, trying to contaminate his "pure" body.

Jack barely resisted Daisy's rubbing. With hundreds of tons of strength, he actually felt a bit strained. He didn't know whether it was because he felt guilty and dared not use force, or because Daisy had awakened some terrifying ability.

Finally, Jack pressed Daisy's face against his stomach and carried her into the RV's bathroom.

After half an hour of clanging sounds, Jack came out of the bathroom holding a clean Daisy.

Daisy mercilessly pushed Jack away, sniffed, and crawled onto the bed with wobbly legs, silently expressing her anger toward him. Jack lay down beside her. Daisy tried to push him away, but had no strength left, so she sulkily turned her head away.

Jack rested in the RV, holding Daisy from behind.

Jane, Dr. Selvig: ((′--)--)

The two began examining the data they had recorded, hoping to find clues about the Nine Realms Jack had mentioned.

Dr. Selvig's mind filled with incredible images after hearing this.

Jane nodded.

The light in Dr. Selvig's eyes grew brighter, but his knowledge was insufficient to support completing the project.

Dr. Selvig and Jane wore identical fanatical expressions. They were truly obsessed with science—no wonder Jane had chased an unconfirmed energy fluctuation for so many years.

At this moment, Thor, who had been tied—no, bound—outside, cautiously opened his eyes. After confirming no one with small weapons was around, he struggled a few times and finally broke free.

Thor ran toward the outskirts of town, ignoring Dr. Selvig's shouts behind him and charging forward without looking back.

After discovering Thor's escape, Dr. Selvig knocked on the RV door, waking Jack and Daisy.

Jack rubbed his eyes, vaguely hearing Dr. Selvig shouting something about… Thor? Running?

Jack suddenly sat up, the violent movement also waking Daisy.

Embarrassed, Daisy used the "Villain's Wailing Claw" on Jack's raised cowlick.

Contrary to her expectations, Jack ignored her divine skill, slapped her hand away, and even gave her a second smack that made her sway.

Her shame exploded instantly, and she covered her exposed body in the sacred space.

Jack opened the car door as Dr. Selvig urgently spoke.

Jack replied indifferently.

Dr. Selvig shook his head.

JARVIS took control of the armor again, his gentlemanly voice echoing.

Dr. Selvig was shocked.

Jack raised a hand, signaling him to calm down. Two minutes—Thor could run five kilometers.

It was just a small interlude. Jack planned to return to California first and wait for Thor to find Mjolnir.

Dr. Selvig surprisingly answered before JARVIS.

Jack: (•̀profit•́ ) How did you manage to find the right place?

Jack got into the car and told Daisy to get dressed. He was going after Thor; building a good relationship with such a powerful fighter was necessary.

Once everyone was inside, Jack drove west.

The dirt road was full of potholes and stones, so Jack drove cautiously. It took ten minutes to catch up to Thor, who had slowed to a jog.

Hearing a sound behind him, Thor looked back, recognized the people who had knocked him out, and immediately sprinted again.

Seeing he couldn't catch up, Jack decided to do it himself.

Jack smiled confidently.

After speaking, Jack jumped out of the car. Daisy, lying on the bed and eating a lollipop, watched him fall from inertia and quickly stand back up. She snapped a photo at lightning speed.

Neither of them cared—perhaps they simply had too much funding to worry about such things.

Jack was indeed slammed to the ground by inertia, but he quickly stabilized himself. He never imagined this brief moment would be captured.

In the future, Daisy would be punished to perform the same action because of this photo.

Daisy looked back again and found Jack had disappeared. She searched behind them but couldn't see him.

Jane pointed toward the front of the vehicle and said tiredly.

After resting, Daisy's numb legs had mostly recovered.

She walked to the passenger seat and looked at the figure kicking up dust far ahead, confirming it was Jack.

Dr. Selvig said with the pained expression of an old man on the subway.

Daisy exaggeratedly replied.

Jack quickly caught up to Thor, who was already out of breath.

Hearing Jack's words, Thor slammed on the brakes, dirt piling up to his ankles.

Jack didn't expect Thor to stop so suddenly. He braked too late and ran over a hundred meters past him.

Jack stomped his right foot down, but instead of solid ground, centrifugal force yanked at his leg.

The inertia sent his foot slipping on a stone. He bounced twice and slid another fifty meters.

Fortunately, only Thor saw it—and thankfully, he didn't have a camera.
