Chapter 63 - Chapter 63: The Sea Motorcycle

Sanji had come back not only to thank Amon, but mainly to bring people to open jars.

Asked if the things worked well, Sanji nodded. "They're incredible, especially the kitchenware. Too powerful. I just cooked two thousand portions in half an hour. It's insane."

While the two spoke, Zeff and Patty led the rest of the kitchen crew onto Amon's ship. They glanced around, trying to spot what was special about it. Nothing on the surface stood out, but the rows of jars drew every eye.

Seeing nothing unusual beyond the jars, Zeff mused inwardly, So these are the jars Sanji mentioned, the ones that can produce strange treasures? They look ordinary enough. Still, hundred thousand berries isn't expensive… might be worth a try.

As Zeff was taking stock, Sanji continued, "Right, Mr. Amon, can Zeff and the others buy your jars?"

"Of course. Hundred thousand berries each. As long as you've got the cash, anyone can open one. I only have ten in this batch though. I already sold one to you, so there are nine left. First come, first served."

His voice pulled Zeff from his thoughts. Since the seller was so forthright, Zeff felt a bit embarrassed to cut the line. He didn't rush in; there were nine left, after all.

Patty and the other hotheads had no such scruples. The jars had them hooked at first glance. "Mr. Amon, can these jars really cough up treasures?" Patty blurted.

"Absolutely. No blanks," Amon said with a smile.

"Really? They look pretty plain to me." Patty hefted one and gave it a shake, still skeptical.

"You can't judge them by the shell. You only know once you buy and crack it," Amon said, making no move to stop him.

Carne chimed in, "That little punk Sanji's golden tools really came from one of these jars?"

Amon nodded. "They did. Not just the kitchenware. His cooking level also came from a jar."

"What? His cooking too? No wonder the brat suddenly got so good."

The crew traded astonished looks. Greed and curiosity stirred as they eyed the jars.

Patty was first to move. He slapped the berries into Amon's hand. "Mr. Amon, give me one to try!"

"Pleasure doing business." Amon beamed. "Which one?"

"That one," Patty said, setting down the jar he'd just been shaking.

"Great. May fortune smile on you." Amon picked up the small wooden mallet and gave the jar a smart tap.

Clink.

The jar split, and three items spilled onto the deck.

Everyone craned their necks to see.

"Bingo. Congrats. I'll take a look."

Amon scooped them up and read the scan.

[White Crystal Shards ×30]: Mysterious little crystals used to forge equipment, and useful as a material for other purposes.

[Personal Water Scooter]: A motorbike for the sea. Very fast, can carry multiple people.

[Moonwalk (Marine Six Styles) Trial Card]: Use to immediately learn the Marine Six Styles technique Moonwalk. Duration thirty minutes.

"How is it?" Patty asked, nervous and excited.

"Not bad at all. First up, this one that looks like a motorbike is a water scooter. It runs freely on the sea, very fast. You can try it right now."

Amon set the model-looking scooter onto the water and released the binding latch.

Pop.

What had been palm-sized expanded in an instant into a three-person water scooter.

The onlookers stared, stunned by the transformation.
