Chapter 2 - Chapter 2 The Birth of GOD!

Marvel Cinematic Universe — Non-Divine Timeline

New York – Assassin League Headquarters – Textile City

Sloan now stood in the room housing the Divine Loom, preparing to check if any new mission targets had appeared.

Through his magnifying glass, he observed the information displayed on the Sacred Loom and immediately began recording the newly appearing cipher. As the code was decrypted, a name appeared before his eyes.

Sloan.

Seeing the revealed answer, Sloan was stunned and muttered to himself:

"How is this possible?""Why is it my name?""It must be the loom's mistake…"

Then, with resolve, he said:

"The Loom of Fate never errs…"

Sloan remained silent for a few moments, then glanced around. Confirming that no other Assassin League members were nearby, he cut the piece of cloth bearing his information.

Staring at it in his hands, Sloan couldn't comprehend why his name appeared there. In over a thousand years since the founding of the Assassin League, no member had ever appeared on the Loom of Fate—but the Loom never makes mistakes. Anyone listed on it is destined to face the consequences.

Would I, in the future, also become an unforgivable villain?

By the rules of the Loom and the Assassin League, he should have drawn his gun and ended his life—but he did not want to die.

As Sloan wrestled with his inner thoughts, a beam of light appeared from beyond the Earth, heading toward the planet.

A baby was enveloped in the flowing light, surrounded by seven Dragon Balls.

The light illuminated New York, piercing the roof of the Assassin League's textile factory, instantly killing Sloan, who was still lost in thought.

"Prosperity!"

A powerful shockwave shattered the Loom of Fate into pieces. The seven Dragon Balls orbiting the baby transformed into seven shooting stars, piercing the building and flying into the distance. Afterward, the Dragon Balls turned into stones, scattered across the area.

Hearing the commotion upstairs, X, Cross, and the Alchemist shouted at the door:

"Sloan! Sloan! Sloan!"

After calling three times with no response, they could no longer hold back and rushed inside.

According to Assassin Brotherhood rules, only the leader could enter this place—except for a first-time assassin who had personally witnessed the Loom's power.

Seeing the scene before them, several were stunned.

A large hole had opened in the roof, and a baby lay among the remains of the loom. Beside him was Sloan, lying dead on the ground, still clutching a piece of cloth.

The Alchemist cried out:

"My God, what happened?"

Cross quickly approached Sloan, checked him thoroughly, then shook his head and said to the group:

"He's gone."

Cross looked at the cloth in Sloan's hand and took it.

In the Meeting Room

Several senior members of the Assassin League gathered. Gunsmith spoke first:

"Tell me, what did you discover?"

Mr. X responded:

"The Loom of Fate was destroyed, and Sloan died instantly.""We tried to save it, but in the end, we lost both the leader of the Assassin Brotherhood and the line of fate guiding us."

The Butcher asked:

"Who is the enemy?"

Cross answered:

"There was no enemy."

A few members who hadn't arrived at the scene immediately paused, then exclaimed in surprise:

"What?"

Cross threw a file onto the table. On it lay a piece of cloth, with the decrypted answer beside it. He said:

"This is the cloth Sloan was clutching when he died."

Everyone took the file and began reading.

"How could this be?""Why does it bear Sloan's name?"

At this, X said solemnly:

"Yes. Sloan held onto the cloth until the very end, never letting go."

Hearing this, everyone accepted the reality: Sloan's name had indeed appeared on the death list. He was truly gone.

Mr. X continued:

"Moreover, a baby appeared at the scene, seemingly descended from the heavens. What do you make of it?"

The group was momentarily at a loss for words, unsure what to say.

The Alchemist said:

"This child marks the end of the Assassin League and also represents a choice for Sloan.""He is a gift from God, God's own son!"

Hearing this, Cross shrugged and said:

"I agree. This child is truly a gift from above."

Mr. X thought for a moment, then said:

"In that case, this child shall be called Smith Doyle, and his title shall be 'God'."

Cross solemnly added:

"God? It seems you have high hopes for this little one."

Gunsmith said:

"It seems you believe in him greatly. I'm not sure if he can bear everyone's expectations."

The Butcher interrupted:

"I don't care about this child's future. The key question is: now that we've lost the Loom of Fate, what do we do next?"

"In the past, the Loom listed wrongdoers, and we judged their fates.""Now that the Loom is gone and has become divine, what should our next steps be?"

All eyes turned to Cross and X, the two strongest members of the Assassin Brotherhood.

Mr. X thought for a moment, then said:

"First, pause all actions and recall the members."

As for future developments, they would be put on hold for now.

Cross offered a different suggestion:

"Indeed, we need to recall the members. As for future actions, I have a proposal."

"In the past, we judged and assassinated based on the Loom's lists—sometimes to prevent crimes, sometimes for those who had already committed terrible deeds."

"In the future, we can use our intelligence network to directly bring multiple-time offenders to justice."

Gunsmith asked:

"So, a Robin Hood approach? Or a Captain America-style superhero?"

Mr. X considered and replied:

"That's a good suggestion. You can think about it."

After discussion, the Assassin Brotherhood's future direction was established, and arrangements for the new assassin, Smith Doyle, were set. Whether he could truly become the 'God' of the Brotherhood would depend on his growth and development—but the Brotherhood would provide the best training possible.

After all, a child who descended from the heavens and completed the final mission of the Divine Loom carries immense mystery.
