Chapter 3 - Episode 3 : Golden Generation

[The next day]

The day of the training camp's opening arrived in the blink of an eye. The children were gathered in a gymnasium, their faces filled with curiosity. Suddenly, footsteps were heard, and the door opened:

"We did it! HAHAHA!!!" Oikawa shouted, entering the gymnasium and drawing everyone's attention.

Iwaizumi: "Stop shouting, you're embarrassing us!" Then, he and Renji entered as well.

Renji observed the children. While some seemed normal, a few stood out and caught his attention with the aura they emanated despite their young age. Renji didn't know it, but these were the monsters from the original work (Ushijima, the Miya brothers, Kuroo, Kamori).

Renji (thinking): "This promises to be interesting." A smile of excitement lit up his face.

Oikawa (with a mocking smile): "Hey, Ren-chan, what's gotten into you? You're not thinking about anything dirty, are you?"

Iwaizumi approached and playfully tapped him on the head.

Oikawa: "Ow! Why did you do that?" he said, rubbing his head.

Iwaizumi: "Be more serious."

Renji: "Hahaha! Well done, Iwa-chan, I couldn't have done better."

Iwaizumi: "Stop it too, or you'll be next."

Renji: "It's okay, it's okay," he said, walking away. The camp leader then entered, gave his speech, and announced the start of training camp.

----

The camp began with stretches and simple exercises, which were actually used to divide the children into groups according to their skill level. Naturally, Renji, Oikawa, Iwaizumi, and the monsters from the original game (Ushijima, the Miya brothers, Kuroo, and Kamori) joined Group 1 (the strongest group).

The coach (in an authoritative tone): "Group 1, assemble!"

The eight players gathered in front of the coach.

Oikawa to Renji (in a low voice): "He already scares me."

The coach: "Let me introduce myself. I'm Lucio, coach of Brazil, and I'll be your coach for the entire camp. At first glance, you already have a grasp of the basics, so I gather you have some volleyball experience, right?" "

The players nodded, and the coach continued, "You will now divide into groups of four, and we will play a practice match to better assess your skills. Is that alright with you?"

"YES, SIR!"

The players then split into two teams of four. Renji's red team consisted of Oikawa, Kamori, and Osamu, while the blue team included Ushijima, Atsumu, Kuroo, and Iwaizumi.

The match began, and the red team was given the right to serve. Renji took over.

Renji (thinking): "How long has it been since I felt this way…"

He stepped forward, took the ball, closed his eyes, and focused.

"I don't know why I'm getting this second chance, but one thing is for sure…"

He tossed the ball and took his run-up.

" "This time, I'll reach the top!"

He launched himself into the air, and just as the ball reached the perfect height, he struck it with all his might. The ball landed quickly on the other side , and before anyone could even react, it crashed to the ground just inches from the line.

"OUT!!! Point for the blue team!"

Renji: "Tch!!! I forced it."

A deathly silence fell over the court. All eyes were on Renji. Even the coach looked at him, stunned (thoughts): "A... jump serve... at such a young age?"

Ushijima was also in shock, as he had never seen a child his age perform a jump serve.

Oikawa (eyes shining): "Wow, that was so cool, Ren-chan!"

Iwaizumi (to his teammates): "Get used to it quickly, because Renji is a monster!"

Atsumu: "Hahaha, a monster, huh… interesting."

Kamori: "Hehe! I'm glad I came all this way."

Coach Lucio: "Come on, let's keep going!" But he couldn't resist giving Renji one last look.

The match continued, and everyone quickly realized that these eight players were on a whole other level, especially Renji, who stood out with every shot and every serve.

Kuroo, after a feint from Renji: "Tch! That's why I don't like geniuses!"

Coach Lucio's thoughts: "These kids are really a cut above the rest."

Starting with Oikawa: despite his young age, he's able to adapt to his attackers, make the most precise passes, and analyze the opponent's weaknesses. Then there's Atsumu, even more talented: he's already capable of making incredible passes from any position, giving the impression that the attackers are improving with each pass.

Next, there's his twin brother Osamu, more versatile, who can be a good winger, but also a good passer. There's also Iwaizumi, a good attacker, but even if he's less talented, he can also be formidable at the net. Then there's Kuroo, a brilliant blocker who can also improve his attacking game.

Furthermore, we have Kamori, with incredible reflexes and anticipation that make him an exceptional libero in the making. Next is Ushijima; despite his young age, his physique and power are incredible, and he has a strong desire to improve.

And finally, Renji, the most talented of them all, is a true scoring machine on offense, capable of launching powerful attacks, but also of hitting from all angles. The most terrifying thing is his maturity on the court, even though he's not even in middle school yet.

"It seems that Japan is finally about to witness the birth of a golden generation!"
