Chapter 9 - The Dawnstone Sect's Mountain Challege

Mo Tian and Lian stood before the gates of the Dawnstone Sect. The towering walls and massive buildings radiated authority and strength, but the registration officer did not welcome them directly.

"Joining the sect is not achieved by simply arriving," said the officer in a sharp voice. "Every applicant must face the Mountain Challenge of the Sect. Those who reach the summit are deemed worthy of membership."

Mo Tian raised an eyebrow but felt a surge of excitement. Challenges like this were exactly what he had been waiting for since he began training.

The Ascent Begins

They started climbing the rugged mountain, sharp rocks underfoot and the wind howling fiercely. Along the way, they encountered other trainees, some arrogant and envious, trying to hinder any new competitors.

One older-looking boy approached Mo Tian with a threatening gaze:

"You think you can join? You won't pass easily."

Mo Tian smiled to himself, showing no fear. Every step was calculated, every movement precise.

Unleashing His Skills

As time passed, Mo Tian began to utilize what he had learned: Shadow Step to evade swiftly, and Shadow Guard to maintain his balance against falling rocks. Some attacks from competitors were fast, but he moved with astonishing fluidity, leaving his opponent stunned.

Lian walked beside him, struggling to keep up, impressed by Mo Tian's incredible speed.

"I didn't expect Mo Tian to be this strong!" Lian whispered to himself.

Reaching the Summit

After hours of climbing, overcoming jagged rocks and sudden gusts of wind, they finally reached the summit. The view was breathtaking, the wind tearing at their bodies, but the feeling of victory was even stronger.

The officers at the summit nodded with approval:

"These two have shown determination and skill. They are allowed to officially join."

Mo Tian smiled, feeling for the first time that his path to power had officially begun.

"This is just the beginning… the true road to the great summit has not yet started."
