Chapter 169 - Chapter 170: I Have Learned Much!!

Chapter 170: I Have Learned Much!!

Looking at Tatsumaki, whose face was slightly flushed with embarrassment and who appeared incredibly annoyed, King felt a bit helpless.

One look was enough to tell that this little girl, Tatsumaki, had definitely gotten the wrong idea.

Although Tatsumaki was indeed quite attractive and her petite frame could easily stir a desire to protect her, King had no interest in such a Little Loli.

He waved his hand, his face showing not a trace of dissatisfaction or anger at being misunderstood. He maintained his domineering and majestic expression, his voice calm:

"Tatsumaki, I meant no offense. I was merely treating your injuries just now, that is all."

Hearing King's words, Tatsumaki's emotions gradually calmed down. Only then did she realize that although she had been severely injured earlier, she was now full of vitality and couldn't feel the slightest bit of pain.

This guy King... actually possesses the ability to heal others? Tatsumaki also realized she seemed to have truly misunderstood King. She lowered her head in embarrassment, but her tsundere personality made it difficult for her to apologize directly.

But facing King's eyes, which were as calm as a still well, Tatsumaki eventually crossed her arms in embarrassment and muttered in a low voice:

"I'm sorry, okay..."

Seeing Tatsumaki like this, King felt the urge to tease a child and made a gesture of cupping his ear:

"Tatsumaki, what are you saying? Your voice is too low, I can't quite hear you."

How could Tatsumaki not know King was doing this on purpose? She looked around to confirm that no one besides Zombieman was listening, then took a deep breath and raised her voice:

"I'm sorry, okay!"

"Can't hear you."

"Argh! I said I'm sorry!!"

Seeing Tatsumaki apologize loudly with a face full of shame, King finally nodded in satisfaction.

Not bad; sometimes teasing a child is beneficial for one's physical and mental well-being.

Now, it was time to go and wake up the other heroes.

Over the next while, King continued to treat the other severely injured S-Class Heroes, and they gradually regained consciousness from their comas.

After Superalloy Darkshine woke up, he stared silently at his battered muscles, the dark sheen on his body appearing to have dimmed quite a bit.

Seeing King beside him, Superalloy Darkshine hesitated several times but ultimately didn't dare to speak.

"My muscles are now battered and broken. Having lost the muscles I was so proud of, what right do I have to speak with Mr. King?"

Previously, Darkshine would occasionally claim to be one of the three people in the Hero Association not to be trifled with, and all of this reliance stemmed from his perfect muscles.

But now, Superalloy Darkshine had lost his muscles, and his once unparalleled confidence seemed to shrivel at this moment.

Just then, Darkshine suddenly felt the light in front of him dim slightly, as if something was blocking it.

"Ah... after losing the muscles I was so proud of... has even my future become bleak?" Darkshine subconsciously looked up, but what appeared before him was not a dark future, but a tall, blonde figure.

"Mr. King? Why are you..."

"You are lost."

King's words interrupted what Superalloy Darkshine was about to say. These four precise words were like a sharp sword, piercing through Darkshine's now crumbling and fragile heart.

He lowered his head deeply, his expression dejected. As one of the S-Class Heroes who greatly admired King, he didn't want to hide anything from him:

"Yes, Mr. King, I admit I am lost now. The muscles I was so proud of have been beaten into this state. The opponent was so much stronger than me; can I really still believe in my muscles?" Previously, Darkshine had been incredibly confident, but the source of all that confidence was built on the premise that his muscles could withstand any damage.

Now that his muscles had been beaten into this near-collapsing state, Darkshine's mindset had crumbled along with them.

Facing Darkshine's confession, King simply shook his head and placed a hand on his mountain-like trapezius muscle, his tone serious:

"There is one thing you are wrong about. Your muscles are not worthless."

Immediately after, King began a session of guided instruction.

King: "You might as well think about who the mastermind behind this crisis was."

Superalloy Darkshine: "Uh... the mastermind of this battle? It was obviously 'God,' whom you blocked."

King: "Very well. Has God not been banished by me? We drove God away from Earth; we are the winners, right?"

Superalloy Darkshine: "Yes, we achieved the final victory. The God who invaded the world was eventually driven off Earth, but..."

King: "Then that's it. We humans achieved victory and defeated God. You are also a human, so you likewise achieved victory in this battle, while God is the loser."

Superalloy Darkshine was stunned at this moment. He vaguely realized what King was trying to express, and the confidence and light in his eyes seemed to gradually return:

"You mean..."

King nodded. Looking at Superalloy Darkshine's state, he guessed that the guy had probably understood.

"Exactly. You are the winner, and God is the loser. Therefore, you, Superalloy Darkshine > God."

As soon as these words were spoken, the muscles on Superalloy Darkshine's body became even shinier, and his aura seemed to strengthen. The dejection and pain on his face vanished, replaced by an excitement that radiated from his dark complexion:

"So that's how it is! Mr. King, I have learned much!!"
