I watched as Junia walked out of my study, a smile spread on my face. Just a few days ago I was angry about one of her father's people who might have come into the palace.

I didn't have proof but I know it, I got so angry that I had to kill a man to make an example to scare her.

The lady who had died, killed by her own mate because of her father's greediness and stubbornness and the Lord kept blaming himself for the death of his daughter which is truly his fault.

But I couldn't stay pissed at Junia even though I knew there was something going on. Orion is not the type to sit and watch after all that has happened.

I just don't want Junia to be caught in her father's greedy games again but I will leave her to choose sides, maybe answers on her own.

I stared down at the reports in front of me, some reports on the border near the shadowborn kingdom and some reports from Malrien's autopsy on Lord Verkir's daughter.
