Yan Feifan woke up at six in the morning as usual and arrived at the Affiliated Hospital around seven-thirty.
He first went to the Little Red House to do his rounds, checking on the postoperative recovery of the young American girl, the patient with the intraspinal tumor, and the young woman who had undergone a full facial reconstruction.
Afterward, Yan Feifan went to the Plastic Surgery Center to check on Nawa from Thailand, as well as several children with disabilities and deformities from the welfare institute.
Yan Feifan also didn't forget to visit the Neurosurgery Department to see if the test monkeys and lab mice were showing any physiological or behavioral abnormalities.
After making a large loop around the hospital, Yan Feifan and his four students—Yu Beihua, Pan Jichuan, Zhu Jian, and Li Tianlin—arrived at the Cardiac Surgery Department in a whirlwind at eight-thirty in the morning.
