Screams rang out from the crowd. Everyone knew it was over for the beautiful, intelligent little snake.
From the looks of it, it was so overwhelmed by the Emperor Cobra's presence that it couldn't even resist. It would be in the other snake's belly in a second.
But...
In the blink of an eye, just as the little snake was about to vanish into the cobra's maw, its tiny, crystal-clear eyes shot out a cold light. A frigid aura burst from its body, and the surrounding temperature plummeted.
For some unseen reason, the hair on many people's arms stood on end, and they broke out in goosebumps.
'Why is it suddenly so cold?'
The Emperor Cobra lunged, its vicious maw snapping shut. But as it came into contact with the frigid aura, a flicker of unconscious fear appeared in its vicious eyes.
It was a fear that seemed to rise from the depths of its soul, impossible to control.
