A word that sounded so fantastical to Fang Zhen had just come from Max's mouth.
Fang Zhen instantly perked up. His eyes sparkled, like the brightest star in the night sky suddenly igniting, illuminating the lonely, dark universe.
'Magic... so magic really exists,' Fang Zhen's heart thrilled.
Once upon a time, the word "magic" truly held a certain power, conjuring up mysterious associations.
What boy hadn't dreamed of magic or superpowers when he was young?
Fang Zhen clearly remembered grabbing a long, straight stick after watching cartoons as a kid and shouting, "I am She-Ra!" He also remembered scenes of shooting Kamehameha waves at his friends.
It was embarrassing to think about now, but back then, he truly believed that magic and superpowers existed in the world. Not only did he believe it, but he was always convinced that one day, he would have them too.
The memory was still fresh in Fang Zhen's mind.
