Kenneth Yates lingered on the rope ladder for a long time, his eyes fixed on the man below. Only when he could no longer see him did he finish climbing into the helicopter.
'Noel Lynch is wrapped in too many secrets, and they all seem to involve me,' he thought. 'A man like that is too dangerous.'
The helicopter flew on steadily. The moment Dominic Thorne saw Kenneth Yates, he threw his arms around him in an emotional hug, nearly bursting into tears.
"Boss, what do you say we blow up that bastard Noel Lynch's lair? We've got bombs on board!" Dominic Thorne declared, his usual flippant attitude unchanged as he gestured theatrically.
"Bombs, you say... All right, let's blow it up!" Kenneth Yates replied. 'Dominic's attitude must mean Ronan's injuries aren't too severe,' he reasoned. 'Otherwise, why would he be joking around? Besides, if we were going to use bombs, why didn't we do it when we were on the roof?'
